Ordinary citizens of Bengal are primarily seeking security from the central government, which would enable them to vote without fear. The central government's reluctance or unwillingness to provide adequate security has exacerbated the situation, leaving people vulnerable and contributing to the ongoing turmoil in the region. This lack of action has resulted in a dire situation, where the democratic process is undermined by intimidation and violence.
