You travel with more stuff than I do although colder destinations do require more packing. This is very well organized packing and saves you from having to spend and look for stuff once you arrive. Thanks for this video Gabe, safe travels 😊

My favorite was the snow monkeys and hotsprings in the Jigokudani snow monkey park and the Volcanic sand bath in Ibusuki. I also went to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Crazy what happened in those cities. Enjoy!

I just traveled for nearly 3 months and found that it was only necessary to have 3 pairs of underwear max. When I jump in the shower I wash the underwear I wore that day with soap or shampoo, hang them up to dry and rotate basically between 2 pairs. The 3rd pair is just a backup. I love these "what's in my bag" videos from travel vloggers.

I'm in Mexico for over 1 year vlogging for my TH-cam channel. 4 underwear, 2 pairs of pants, 1 pair of shorts, 7 t-shirts, 1 flip flops, 4 socks, and my daily-use boots. For rain, I bought a $1 plastic raincoat at the dollar store.

    • @rexx9496

@@DougPVlogs Cool. My favorite thing was a pair of fitted super stretch black jeans. They were so versatile and go with anything. I went out to nightclubs in them as well as went bike riding and hiking in them.

@@rexx9496 My favorite is my tactical ripstop cargo pants. Lots of pockets for my camera, batteries, and other vlogging stuff. I hate backpacks for just walking around so I stuff everything into my ton of pockets.

I gotta say Gabriel I'd think after all these years you'd be a more minimal packer. 65l bag and another probably 25l bag! Travelling with just one small/ medium sized bag gives you so much freedom, never have to check a bag, don't have to travel straight to the hotel from the airport/ bus station etc. Have a great trip!

Very useful info from a pro traveler that is hard to find. I like the rain jacket for sand storms 🙂. I am far from your travel league but useful for me have been a thin, 8-foot cable with eyelets on each end and 20 feet of thin dacron rope. Each weighs next to nothing and takes very little takes space when coiled up. I use the cable surprisingly often to wend through my backpack, suitcase, etc and then lock up to something secure like a pole or fence. If somebody really wanted to rip something off they could do it but this makes them think twice. The rope is my clothesline and i can't tell you how often I string that up in hotel rooms or on balconies to dry clothes.

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos

Gabriel before you leave change your SIM card to the digital version leaving the SIM card slot free to use with a local SIM card. It is referred to as a eSIM card. This way your phone will ring with local number and your US number. I am sure in Japan it is not an issue but if you go elsewhere you might need it. Safe travels!

Eventually working my way around the world over the next six months. I carry a single carry-on bag with everything needed. It needs to be light. As I'll be walking several hundred miles on the Camino.
I'll be spending some time in Asia in the spring. Hopefully China will be back open by then. Haven't been since before COVID. I'll hit up Thailand, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Japan and Korea as well. Happy travels!

My wife and I are currently on our 6th trip to Europe, and also the longest one we’ve done (3 months total ending in January) we pack very similar I use an Arc’teryx Altera 65L pack. This trip I really wanted to avoid a day bag but I think it’s impossible lol.. I also use a similar sized day bag for all electronics, chargers etc. mosquitoes have been quite bad here in the Balkans thus far so your after bite is a veteran move lol. One thing I’d add that we brought this time is a power bar/power cube, multi-port power bar, it’s been amazing charging 5-6 things at once off one bar. Enjoy your trip, looking forward to the videos! I'm currently living in the Tokyo area as an American. It's cold here so be prepared for that. About masks, most buildings and businesses are strict about wearing them. You might see a handful ignoring the rules but I'd say 95% of the country wears it. Trains are similar to buildings with mask-wearing rules. If I see you around the city, I'll stop by to say hey 👋 enjoy!
