I noticed that civilians never park their vehicles and nobody rides motorcycles which meant that they weren't very practical for blending in during a hack.
+Bryan Wheelock The motorcycle still had it's fair share of benefits in hacking and i feel like they would make things too easy if the NPCs drove them too. (Sorry, I know this is a month after the original comment)
Door_Productions No problem. I liked the game a lot and put hundreds of hours into it so I know a lot of the small annoying details.

They didn't remove any graphics. PS4 and Xbox One just aren't capable of running PC graphics. I know a lot of people expect PC graphics from demos to show up on consoles, but the world just doesn't work that way.
Even the PC Version is downscaled
if you spent $500 on a PC then don't expect those graphics. you need $2700 and a bit of computer know-how

3 animations for unarmed , 2 for sprint cycle which itself got removed and one for pistol sprint
I haven't played two yet but I feel like the concept of the first is better. it's a darker and grittier revenge story. And dark themes and story tend to be really entertaining to me
I'll say this:
Dark and gritty gone wrong is at least unintentionally funny.
Comedy done wrong is just sad and comes off as trying too hard

You're forgetting the feature that appears at The end of your video when their showing the games story from perspective of a another player. If I'm not mistaken this feature was suppose to be like a coop type of mode in the story where one player controls Aiden and the other controls a random character or villain that suppose to be in that mission, for example, at the end of the game you go to the lighthouse and Jordi appears at the end, if this feature was still in the game the second character could have been playing as Jordi going to the lighthouse to trigger the last cutscene in the game, sounds pretty cool tbh but at the same time sounds difficult to do, it's pretty similar like what "A Way Out" is doing only that in that game is split screen Coop.

@@nothubix My comment is not fully accurate, I don't think there's ever proof of COOP Campaign ever existing but Ubisoft did try out some missions like that with Aiden and Jordi
Bixxel44 segment from E3 2012 was a showcase of invasions but scripted into the demo, the entire demo is fake as expected, full of things that are placed just for the showcase
Bixxel himself as my comment says is Tanner, John Tanner from Driver series, the game was originally supposed to be a driver sequel back in 2009 or so but got scrapped very quickly and the engine and some of assets got reused, including the head of Tanner, used to be V1 Aiden Pearce until it got replaced with E3 2012 model, then replaced again in 2013
As for the "eagle contract" the community originally thought it was supposed to be a separate gamemode known as Eagle Eyes due to file leftovers named like that, but turns out that's just the CTOS Box hack, the one where you hack one and you have to hack more under a time limit, originally this was supposed to be a PVE multiplayer game mode but got moved to singleplayer
@@HeySlickThatsMeThanks for the reply, that’s some really cool stuff. I’ve always been interested in the early builds of the first Watch Dogs game because of it’s history of scrapping a lot of the game’s features that were shown in demo gameplays. I’m glad there’s still a community for this.

Am I the only one who when someone entered my game "seamlessly" I could hear THEIR hacking beeps. On so many occasions I'd be walking around, I'd hear a beep and then I'd just put a bullet in the driver behind me and 80% of the time it was a player.

Yea.. You can also see for lines for a moment when they hack camera or make blackout.

im sorry brett retaliate is in watch dogs whenn someone hacks me and i lose a couple minutes later a notification comes and says the name of the player and up says retaliate soooo yeah
+YC _ ASSASSIN Yeah, it was in the game, but they messed it up. For whatever reason, after you accept the retaliation contract, the game counts down for 5 seconds before attempting to invade the other player's game. When you instead search for an online hacking contract and accept one, you immediately invade.
Therefore, you almost never get a chance to retaliate, because some other player who had been searching for contracts invaded him before you could. It especially happens when the target player has high notoriety.
This is so stupid. Someone who has a retaliation opportunity should have a higher priority than any random player...

To me, removing "promised" content from a game is like cutting a character or a scene from a movie shown in the trailer.
Imagine watching a trailer for The Force Awakens which shows Finn using the lightsaber, and once you see the finished movie in the cinema he isn't even in it...

Gaming industry is not the same as movie industry. Usually when you see a movie trailer, that movie is finished and they show you some parts of it.
In gaming industry, they usually announce the game way earlier before it is finished, showing you cinematics, trailers or gameplay - this is for advertising purpose, to create hype for the game, to market it and create interest so people would buy it.
Most of those are work in progress (you can even see this text often) and that can be changed by a lot until release. If they show you a trailer now and the game will launch 4 years after, that mean the game can change by a lot. They add features, they remove features, they can even change mechanics, characters, ideas, etc. Graphics can change, too, some things might improve, some things might be cut because of optimization, etc. Mostly there is no "promised" content. If you want to think about "promised" content then you look at the release trailer (the one that usually launches a few days / weeks before the game is released) and from that you'll know what to expect on the game. Plus, you always have the option to return the game for a couple of hours if you don't like it.

Car costomization? Ubisoft never really been great at these up to date games eceped for Far cry 4. I say that Rock star and Ubisoft should make a collab for Watch dogs 2. I'm sure more people would like watch dogs even more. Because Watch dogs is the most disappointing game from Ubisoft as of 2016. But I still agree though.

Retaliation did make it. Not in that "finding the player on the grid" form, but after you get hacked sometimes a purple screen would pop up saying Retaliation Opportunity.

The final product of watch dogs may not have the same gorgeous graphics and gameplay like it did during the e3 demos from 2012 and 2013 . You had to admit that the story was just amazingly compelling and relatable. The graphics in final version isn’t as bad as I think it was in my view. I’ve seen worse from other games. Also it have been interesting if Ubisoft added the idea of a game social media app to see what people had to say about the vigilante on the as you progress through the course of the main story, Just like in spider man ps4

I actually used the retaliation feature it was just changed. Later in the day after a guy hacked me we were apparently both still playing and an online activity popped up saying retaliation and it allowed me to hack him back
What's pretty cool is that quite a few of these things were put into WD2

Retaliation still exists, it pops up on the right like a fixer contract invitation 15 minutes after you are hacked.
the biggest blunder ubisoft made with watchdogs 1 was that they forced everyone to play a game that was downgraded in graphics as compared to the E3 demo's, they could have just made the max settings accommodate for those graphics and not erase the graphics from the game completely, now that we have the GTX1080 we can easily handle those graphics now, what a waste.
I did turn off the online mode anyway because half of the intruders were cheating and ubisoft didn´t give 2 shits about it.

I wish the kept the hacking weapon wheel. Hacking was too easy in the original and the wheel would have made it more of a challenge, and force you to make a choice. It would also have worked great with driving and focus mode as you could slow down time to change the hack and then use it. Also, having sniper rifles and grenade lauchers etc. was just dumb. I like the idea of having one pistol, maybe one that you can customize with attachments and upgrades.
yes and also suggest them to put two wheels. one for the guns and 2 for the hacks and also I suggested to have some physics
I liked having multiple guns. It was better variety. Also, the wheel probably wouldn't have worked in multiplayer, because it couldn't slow down meaning you wouldn't have much time to react.
For me I would take hacking wheel and one pistol (Maybe even non lethal) for the WD any day. Weapon wheel with hundredandfiftyfour weapons are almost every second game and hacking is the what seperates this from the rest.
first time I played watch_dogs online, my friend couldn't recognize me because I looked like Riley from The Last of Us
I'm still wondering one thing about WD. How The hell did that guy from the first demo get to the rooftop and where did he drop? Other areas shown in the demo made it to the final game except the first demo rooftop
maybe with the character customization ideas, the online world gives you the opportunity to buy helicopters and cars or other heavy tech gadgets to going around on every place at the city such as grappling hooks, etc. remember, that ubisoft was struggling against rockstar on their respective open worlds but this ideas were then cut out finally - a shame.
I was also wondering how they got up there, but then I remembered from playing the exact same mission in the real Watch dogs, there is a part where you chase Defalt up onto the roof of the building. So they probably got up by following the same path.

Watch Dogs was still a fun game to play nonetheless. And I'm so excited for Watch Dogs 2!

retaliation is actually in the game.... the only thing is you don't pull it up on the map to retaliate, it's a pop up that appears that you press down on the D-pad to enter the person's world that just hacked you
But retaliation did got into the final game tho... Not as fast like the E3 demo but it did... Couple of minutes after you got hacked, a prompt on the screen would appear asking if you want to retaliate.

There is retaliation, but it doesn't work exactly the same way and it doesn't have the same menu and everything.
If you watch the start screen, you can see a cutscene where Aiden is meant to dress as Nicholas Crispin when attending the auction.
I miss the theme of WD 1, a dark (theme) vigilante, dark city, and just vigilantism

Hacking retaliation is actually in the game, but it doesn't work the same way it was shown in the demo. After I was hacked and they escaped, I got a prompt like any other online hack, except this one said retaliation and showed the name of the guy that just hacked me.

you're kind of wrong about the retaliation part. once you're hacked by someone, you can still hack them back. it's just not like how it was showcase when they talked about it

hey, can i tell you something? there was one mission in the first Watch Dogs game that was NOT in the full game, "Joseph DeMarco" from Watch Dogs 1 (i don't think it actually DOES have a name but i named it like that cause this is the only one where you see DeMarco and in the full version it had a similar mission called "The Defalt Condition" except that the building was completely changed and DeMarco was replaced by Defalt)
My god, I forgot all about that retaliation trailer. I watched it at launch...
You know people were complaining about the downgrade but the fact is that this was not possible on ps3, 360, ps4, and xbox 1(graphic difference wise)maybe they could of ironed out the characters and invisible walls but it was just a little complicated

Actually you CAN retaliate against other players, you can't choose to do that, but it could pop up an option to let you do that, it's like when it randomly appears the hack session offer but instead there's written "revenge"

But if you think about it if we could customize our character the it would be easy for another player to find you when you hack into there world.
NPCs don't do certain things, for instance I shot a guy invading me because he was in a parked car a second or so before the system saw him as the invader.

The hackable wheel isnt a BIG deal it was removed. because you can still hack all of those items, just layed out differently, and you have alot more weapons than just a pistol. so l am really GLAD they changed the hack wheel.

Retaliation was a thing in the game. It wasn't very often, and not used as shown here but was available.

u missed a unused mission where u meet with jackson and he talks about Dedsec but dunno if the "unsed mission" is actually moded or no if not and the mod only to return the unesed mission then its fine

They do give you a brief opportunity to retaliate after someone attempts to hack you. You just can't call it up at will.
I honestly don't understand what's the point of character customization if you can't see what you look like anyway. To me I'll will always look like Aiden Pierce so what does it matter? It's like character customization in FPS games what's the point in that if you can't see yourself anyway?
Farcry 5 has character customization and I don't remember encountering any mirrors in that game. In Fallout 4, at least you have the option to go first person or third person.

Why did they remove character customization? I didn't even know it was planned, but the whole time I was playing it I was thinking how much cooler it would be with character customization.

That's weird.... Just the other day I was being hacked by a player. I found him and killed him before the hack was complete. About 5 minutes later I saw a purple notification on the side of the screen with that player's name and it said "retaliation". Perhaps it was kept in, just in a different way?
you can retaliate when the opportunity arises but it is not an on-demand retaliation where you can pinpoint the location of the other player instantaneously after you are invaded.
Often, especially with a slow internet connection, by the time the retaliation prompt has appeared, the other player would have been invaded by someone else or initiated another activity cancelling your invasion by the time it takes to load into their game.

What about the feature where it would highlight kneecaps and certain bones to disable someone in combat when aiming a gun.
