Thank you! I followed your instructions, and it worked perfectly. My Instant Pot is back in service. I got the part on Amazon, just as you said. It was delivered in a few days, and the Instant Pot is like new. thank you so much!
Very thorough explaining everything so that I have no questions. After I removed the sensor I tested for clicking and sure enough one of them was not clicking. I examined the part with a flashlight and saw that one of the contacts of the sensor under the one of the flexible stainless strips looked like it had burned out and it looked as if it had disintegrated. I'm about to order the new part and it kept my very old IP (like 2014) from going in the landfill. Thank you so much!
IT WORKED! Thank you so much! This was the best video I found online about this. They don't make my model anymore, with the LED bell-curve showing the progress in the heating and cool-down, so I'm glad I got to fix it!
I have this exact model and issue with the leads on the pressure tip breaking off and must say that it is one of the most used appliance in the house. Hopefully I can get another 5 years out of the new sensor lol. Thanks for sharing.
Follow - up : instant Pot totally back to its normally working after following your video. In fact Im eating the cooked rice using the repaired Instant Pot. Thank you very much
Just replaced my pressure switch after 4 years of continuous use and I had to adjust the switch down 6 times (1/4 turn CCW at a time) to keep it from overpressuring.
The best way to adjust the switch if it over pressures is to run it in clockwise with the power on. When you get the C6 code, back the adjustment out until the C6 code stops and you are good to go. IN my previous statement I said CCW, I meant clockwise, sorry,
I fixed mine by emptying the little water reservoir that's at the back of the unit. It was full of water because I do a lot of steaming. Anytime that happens it's because the resevoir is full in my case. Never had to replace anything, I just empty the resevoir now anytime I use it.
I have too much pressure but no errors. The steam release valve leaks, telling me there's too much pressure for the knob (weight) to seal. I bought a new knob. Same thing.
I used instant pot to make hard boiled eggs and then powered it off. The unit started beeping with C1 error code. Unit is almost 5 years old. Is this likely same sensor?
The C6, C6L, and C6H errors are all related to the pressure sensor isn't working properly; the the pressure sensor might be vary across different models
@@battery0peratedlover I found this help to make it work however if you could put a better explanation to that video it will be helpful thank you this is the link. th-cam.com/video/jNb_oQW5moE/w-d-xo.html
Error 3 on an Instant Pot is usually caused by a failure in the pressure cooker's temperature sensor. try performing a factory reset on the pressure cooker. To do this, press and hold the "Keep Warm/Cancel" button for 3 seconds until the display shows "0:00."
I just bought pressure sensor from amazon and replaced the old sensor. It works. Your video is so clear and easy to follow. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for your video! My baby works now!

PS: Sure enough, one side of the old pressure sensor was no longer clicking.

@codywifi149 I must confess that I don't have that link but just type the model and pressure switch. It should show you.
@manuelmoraleda9684 thank you the problem with my instant pot was the rubber gasket from the floater pressure valve my wife put it backwards lol
Hi, pls can you share a link for the sensor on Amazon? Thank you.
Thanks! I’m going to try this and salvage my kitchen BF.🙂
Thank you, your video was very helpful, I only had to clean the sensors.

Thank you for the wonderful explanation.
Glad you liked it

Hello. Do you have access to technical information about instant pot max? I'm having error E19 and i don't know what it mean. Thank you. Regards
I just cleaned the contacts with a thin strip of 400 grit sandpaper. The pot was only 6 months old.
I only used my instant pot once an when i wanted to use it again it showed c6 error so can it be my sensor
Name the Sensor please, I from Panama

What should I do when the indicator shows Lid even after closing the lid properly

Anyone know if c6 and CP6L are the same error? Or if you have 3 different sized pots do they all take the same sized sensor replacer?
The C6, C6L, and C6H errors are all related to the pressure sensor isn't working properly; the the pressure sensor might be vary across different models
What’s the name of the sensor because I have exactly the same problem
I need de link please
If after replacing the sense and you still get the error what else to check.
It has to be calibrated
@@battery0peratedlover how do you calibrate it.
@Electronic Artis I've been trying to find the answer, but coming up short.
@@battery0peratedlover I found this help to make it work however if you could put a better explanation to that video it will be helpful thank you this is the link. th-cam.com/video/jNb_oQW5moE/w-d-xo.html
@Electronic Artis seems pretty easy to follow but given that the screw is a gage to elevate or drop the temp idk what temp it should be set to.

Great!
You'll need to recalibrate the sensors, otherwise it may not work properly
How do you do that?
