My first car was a 96 maxima. Got it in 08 when I was 17 with 124k miles. Drove it for 8 years. When I sold it the car had 270k miles. Still ran like a dream. Original transmission was solid too. The sound that VQ30 makes at 3-4K rpm is just beautiful too.
I wonder if this Maxima came from California originally? The gold emblems and gold wheel centers were very common dealer add on’s in period. The Nissan dealer I worked at during the mid to late 90’s had a guy that would come out and do the “gold treatment”. These have to be peak Nissan for reliability & build quality. I believe these weighed around 3,200lbs so the 190hp they had felt pretty peppy even with the 4spd auto. The 5spd manual is a really fun car. It blew my mind why someone would pick a Camry over a Maxima. The Camry was a great car but felt soulless in comparison. It’s not too uncommon to see these with 300-400k miles and beyond. They are seriously underrated. I had a 99 I30 in the same color (glorified Maxima GLE) & a 03 Maxima SE and the 99 was definitely put together better.

Because of the kind of car it was, Funny thing is I have one which is the fully loaded one with leather interior and 150 thousand on it and in extremely excellent condition. I Think That is Very Cool of You to put it on for your Employee . I see all of the jackasses posting negative comments , Because they didn’t listen to the first part of the video. These are damm good cars . This one on the video has been around for 27 years, so that’s proof !
I hate that the car market is crazy and i've had to grow up in it (im 28) and hearing stories of my dad buying muscle cars for $200 just kills me inside ....

Better than you would think but then again i had an 02 with the variable 6 speed auto and the 3.5 v6 they only made them like that for two years i wish i would've bought it back when someone hit me in it

BOSE sound system hell yeah, Cold A.C. Quiet Ride, great on fuel, horn works, wipers work all good👍
That Bose stereo in these sound surprisingly good without a sub.

Bulletproof car, you get ur money's worth for this because it won top 10 best engines and was when Nissan was at its peak.

I still have mine with 240000 miles 1999 se just for daily driving and still strong.
