Ren Jialun here is adorable in this performance 🎭 What an actor! I'm still under Lu Yi's influence; still going back to Under the Power. I can't believe his voice is so soothing and we have been deprived from his real voice when acting. So glad here we get to experience the natural sound of his beautiful voice.
He does have a great voice. I understand why he was dubbed though b/c in both One and Only and Under the Power, he played characters who were more "cold" and authoritative, and his voice is, as you say, soothing and gentler. The dubbing in One and Only threw me for a loop though b/c they used the same dubber who did the main character in Sword and Brocade, which I had just finished watching, and the love interest in that drama was also called Shiyi.
From ONE AND ONLY to FOREVER AND EVER!! The companion C-Drama series where I fell in love with Ren Jia Lun (Allen Ren) and Bai Lu! I absolutely ADORED the 2ND drama Forever & Ever. I loved it more than the prequel One and Only. The acting was superb, excellent, realistic script, ML+FL had chemistry for days, and I loved how they stayed there for each other. THEY NEVER ABANDONED EACH OTHER. LOVED FOREVER AND EVER👏 👏
