    Nice as always, Andy. That first song was the sound I've been searching for but has eluded me. Wow! I loved it. Reminded me of some mid-period Killing Joke. Great job!!!

    Great playing as always. I must be a boring player, I feel like all pedals have only about 20% usable tones.

    , can someone please explain to me why the switch is on the far right-hand side, it seems a lot odd to me? Even if the pedal sounds good the switch positioning is still very odd?

    • @samuelgreen7248
      @samuelgreen7248 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Either so it doesn't get in the way of the graphic or because of the circuitry inside the pedal that means the switch can't be placed anywhere else... probably.

    • @sleighte
      @sleighte 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thorpy pedals are real dumb and real overpriced

    • @thehandseesall
      @thehandseesall 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sleighte you are not correct, but the switch position is dumb tho!

    • @thorpyfx2679
      @thorpyfx2679 5 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      The reason the switch is where it is is because the PCB internally fills the vast majority of the enclosure. There is a hell of a lot going on internally. Also the switch positions allows the wire routing away from parts of the board that could radiate clock noise into the input and output.

      Fingerstyle is the best style. I figure everyone eventually gets there. Basically you pretend as if you're holding a pick and use the topside of your index fingernail to pick and strum. I play more hybrid picking now because I force myself to, but this is my default style as well from way back many years ago.
      My advice to intermediate guitarists is to play only an acoustic for at least a year. You're playing will be greatly improved when you go back to electric. By a wide margin. Use all four fingers man, your music will thank you.
