There is a fix for where the horizontal poles meet the channel. It's the ARB replacement part called a "flexible arm joint". As of 6/23/22 ARB is out of stock. It's around 15 bucks through ARB. I don't know if that is each or a set of 2. There are distributors on line that either are out or will order with a 2 to 3 week wait. They have them priced for around $2. None of them show a picture of what you get, and l'm not taking a chance.
100% with u on a lot of YT videos giving reviews on products. They NEVER do an update after they’ve “actually” used the product for 3-6 months. Thanks for an honest review.
I think I’d rather rig up a homemade shade than spend all that money on one of those ... your so handy with tools you could probably construct something better than what they are selling there but you did make it stronger by adding the extra
Yeah, l've seen people make their own. But these are really nice when you just want some quick shade. They set up and come down fast. If it's not windy you can get away with no guy ropes for a fast picnic.
