Yep, that’s the one I’ve been talking about! The easy open jack. I don’t care for the extra nail nick, but I can live with it. Dig the senator, too. I have the coke bottle and can tell you the fit and finish is really excellent. Looking forward to these coming in! The cinnamon bone version is handsome, but damascus puts it out of my price range. So, yeah, these look good! Thanks for reviving and tweaking interesting old patterns! And for making them well, and making them affordable.
The coke bottle is excellent and the black appaloosa bone is gorgeous! Happy to see more coming. Don't love the double nail nicks, either keep just the long pull or the nick at the easy open.
I feel like a kid in a candy store with these options. Those are all great designs. Those burnt cinnamon bone scales really catch my eye. I’m really enjoying the Rough Ryder/Rider series you’re making.
Roughrider knives are all extremely well built and an incredible value . Some folks have a hard time getting over the China part but you are getting a really great knife for a great price
When are the rest of the models in this series going to be available? Also wish that you all would make a Scout knife in this pattern. I’m guessing that would be pretty well received.
Nice job with the 30th Aniv. Tang stamp I do like the Coke Bottle but I'd love a single blade version in the series The Easy open lockback is the killer of the group! I'd like to see the Doc with a spatula but that is beauty of Doc knife. That EZopen is a true joy to look at. Not sure about the name on the two blade Jack but those are some excellent blade choices The Senator looks cool. The intern looks like a senator's little buddy. Hold on a sec. That fixed blade just topped the easy open lockback. You really needed to show that thing a little longer! I'll forgive you this time for not including a large toothpick. It can't always be about me. Thanks TC. Great run down. Looking forward to that series. Not a dud in the entire group!
*sheath. Yes most likely nylon but leather would put that little fixed blade over the top. Looks like it will be a nice little edc pocket fixed blade. I would even prefer kydex over nylon.
Many of the Appaloosa Bone series are in and we are expecting the Cinnamon Bone ones soon smkw.com/brands/rough-rider#/filter:custom_handle_material:Bone/filter:categories_hierarchy:Knives
The Streamline model looks spectacular for EDC. I'm curious about the sheath that will come with it, whether or not it has aa pocket clip. If not, would it be easy to add one.
Chomping at the bit for all these to come out!! I own every one of them so far, and I will own the whole series as soon as I can get them!!! Best RR's! Double nail nick is stupid (sorry not sorry), but I'll be buying them anyway!
I believe that the Senator and Intern knives are based in part off of old "Congress" knives. Those always had a small coping blade for sharpening writing quills.
They all look great! What I really want though is a medium toothpick in either/both of these that also has a bolster lock similar to what’s on the red sawcut bone one 🙏
Having a long, straight pull closer to the pivot as well as the usual nail nick means you can cut the blade down into a whittling knife and still have somewhere to catch a nail for deployment
they are in stock now and on special for the holiday at the moment smkw.com/rough-ryder-fixed-bl-cinnamon-bone-damas-rr2532 and smkw.com/rr-appaloosa-stream-line-fixed-blade-rr2490
The cinnamon bone damascus fixed blade is it. Looks like a perfect fixed blade pocket knife. Hopefully those will be out and in stock the next time I am there. If so one will be leaving with me. Well, at least one.
Fixed blade with burnt bone and Damascus. Hope it comes with a leather sheath! How soon? I have several Rough Ryder knives they they compare favorably with more expensive knives.
"Don't love the double nail nicks, either keep just the long pull or the nick at the easy open." Me too. I really like Rough Rider knives, I start buying them around 12 years ago. But for me a double nail nick or so, is aesthetically horrible on the blade. I'm sorry. I'm going to buy a couple of copies anyway, because this series is really beautiful. Please put more lockback on them.
I would love to see an old Cattleman pattern in the next iteration of these old knives. You could do a 3 1/2” model with a straight back, and a clip, spey, and punch blade to be really traditional, or a clip, spey, and sheepsfoot model to have a more traditional but more useful stockman pattern. Not many folks use a punch blade anymore, but I love them. Thanks TC. I know that you can make this happen for me. To do it really like the old timers made it, have a cut out on the off side for the fingernail to dig out the punch blade. I will definitely have to get a couple of these.
I only wish you would have the knives in stock when the brand new catalog comes out. There are four different knives I want from your Christmas catalog but not one of them is currently in stock.
@@SMKWcom just got my Black Appaloosa and it is nice. Perfect in just about every way, definitely nicer than the Case knives I've bought over the past few years.
These are nice. i know which ones I'll grab. I would like to see a revamped working man series with more serious color neutral bone bone or stag maybe deep dark grey black ruff micarta idk with locking blades darker/deeper pocket clips. A nice elephant toe with a pocket clip with a small worn cliff and the rhino style blade or bottle opener. Or even a utility locking blade with the sunfish style handle and a lock. T10 with that titanium coating to stop rust some what for awile would be nice to
Dang it! I thought I was sort of done buying series of Rough Ryder knives, just the occasional pattern recently has been enough. These Appaloosa Spade blades look like a set that will be following me home. That E-Z Open Jack is already talking to me as is the Coke bottle model. If that is not bad enough, you show that Burnt Cinnamon Bone scale material; what's a mother to do?
Well I guess if the masses want a double nail nic give them what they want. It is definitely not for me though. I picked up a coke bottle may pick up the bullet. Thanks for sharing these!!
Senator: “just because it looks crooked” BEST EVER 😆😆😆
it's funny bc it's true!
I bought it, I love it, love Rough Ryder!!!!
Built by hand and backed for life
I love that easy open lockback, would love to see the sheath on the fixed blade.

I like those and finally a Capital Intern that does suck ❤
The extra nail nick is for more easy open gripping. Great idea and practical.
Options are a good thing 👍
Cinnamon bone looks amazing
We are really digging the way it turned out!
The coke bottle is excellent and the black appaloosa bone is gorgeous! Happy to see more coming. Don't love the double nail nicks, either keep just the long pull or the nick at the easy open.
Thanks for watching and for the order 👍
How about just a long pull nick and do away with the swage so you can grab the blade without slippage?
I feel like a kid in a candy store with these options. Those are all great designs. Those burnt cinnamon bone scales really catch my eye. I’m really enjoying the Rough Ryder/Rider series you’re making.
We are really in a golden age of knives!
Yep!
Whole series is a must have… maybe two of each!
Absolute fire!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Tim!
@@SMKWcom
You’re welcome!
I want that one blade easy open Jack knife bad! Any idea when they’ll be in stock?
Wow. I'm glad I'm not a slip joint guy. Because I would want all of those. Gorgeous designs.
Might be time to give slip joints a try again...
Thanks for the long nail nicks, and the opening. My arthritic fingers thank you. On top of that the knives are beautiful .
Same!
Roughrider knives are all extremely well built and an incredible value . Some folks have a hard time getting over the China part but you are getting a really great knife for a great price

Excited for these. I keep hoping for more Carbon steel releases from Rough Rider though.
Me too, I prefer carbon steel over 440 stainless
I've been collecting the Spade series knives. They're really great.
We are very happy with how these have turned out
Really liked the little fixed. Be getting one.
Thanks for watching Greg!
Does the Capital Intern come with a cigar?
We will pass along your idea for a cigar cutter lol

Yes, large toothpick and a large stockman with the caplifter/screwdriver like the RRR. I would have liked to see the stealth for the fixed blade.
@@tonyrome655 , I like where you're going. I'm hoping for a leather sheath but expecting nylon.
*sheath. Yes most likely nylon but leather would put that little fixed blade over the top. Looks like it will be a nice little edc pocket fixed blade. I would even prefer kydex over nylon.
Great looking series. My favorite is the open-end Jack.
the oldies are the best
No school like the old school 👍
Love the look of the fixed blade, would love it with a leather in pocket sheath!
Easy open jack and streamline are on fire, the rest look great too and a Sunfish would lookk sick!
Always something new at SMKW
@SMKWcom can't thank you enough for working with UK resellers. After getting most bone series it looks like I will get a few more Appaloosas..
Already have the coke bottle and love it….really liking the two easy open jobs
🙌🙌🙌
I love the looks of all them I think the easy open is my favorite, but I would like to see a H or a cotton sampler would look awesome in that
Meant to say hawk Bill knife
Just thought what about a cheetah pattern
Thanks for watching and good suggestions 👍
Awesome series!!! I'll be getting a few.
Definitely gonna be getting a damascus cinnamon bone doctors knife!
We are really digging how the Cinnamon Bone turned out!
Can't wait to get my hands on these new rough Ryder!
These are awesome knifes TC! I like the One Blade Easy Open Jack! And the fixed blade! These are definitely going to be collectors knifes!
Pretty enough to collect but built to use!
I want that crooked one 😂 beautiful knives!!!! Well done
Thanks for watching!
I'm picking up at least two of those. I have the one that is already out. I want the easy open jack and doctors knife.
We are expecting big things out of this series!
I am still waiting for the hawkbill you teased in one pocket check video... Although this fixed blade is super interesting
Can’t wait to get both of those single bladed jacks. Really wish you had the Damascus available in white bone.
Thanks for watching!
@@SMKWcom not supper into the double nail nick. Wish it just had the easy-open nick. But still a nice looking knife.
Can’t wait for these but would love to see the white with the Damascus
That would look sweet!
Just saw this, not sure how i missed it.
I NEED these!!!!
When?
When?
When can i get them???

Thanks for the Link SMKW!
Looking for that Easy open Appaloosa 🤔
What steel are you using?
TC. It’s gotta be the fixed blade. That thing is sweet. See ya SMKW. Thx for the video.
Thanks for watching!
The Streamline model looks spectacular for EDC. I'm curious about the sheath that will come with it, whether or not it has aa pocket clip. If not, would it be easy to add one.
Easy open. Now, that is a smart idea.
It is one of our favorite patterns
Do you know when the cinnamon bone stag ones will be available?
We do not have a firm ETA
Thanks I'm looking forward to them
Good stuff TC 👍
Thanks for watching!
Looking forward to those.
Also...good jokes 😂
TC is happy as long as he can make himself laugh and if some of the rest of us do as well all the better
Would have liked to seen the sheath for the fixed blade❓Is there one ❓
These are beautiful

Double nail nick is stupid (sorry not sorry), but I'll be buying them anyway!

I want the whole series! I need to find out who ships these to Canada. They are beautiful!
Thanks for watching!
I believe that the Senator and Intern knives are based in part off of old "Congress" knives. Those always had a small coping blade for sharpening writing quills.
The history of knives is a long and varied one and we love bringing back little known or forgotten about patterns
They all look great! What I really want though is a medium toothpick in either/both of these that also has a bolster lock similar to what’s on the red sawcut bone one 🙏
There have been talks for more in the bolster lock series
Love that “Easy Open”! I want one! When will the “In Spades” Series become available?
We are hoping they all come in soon 👍
When are these out guys, and can they ship to the UK. really love how retro they are
That fixed blade looks nice. Wish they had it in high carbon.
I like the spade series, like the cinnamon Bone, the doctor's knife is my favorite.
When will these knives be available? Haven't seen anywhere they are sold online.
smkw.com/shop/?search_query=rough%20ryder%20appaloosa
My favorite is the knife he opens in the video ❤
Really hate the look of the nail nick and long pull. Prefer just one, I do think I may pick up a Senator though

Can't wait to pick up Both series!! 👊🙌❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
That One Blade Easy Open is calling my name.
There is something classy about them!
Elephant toe? That would be awesome!

We can't wait for them to get here
When they coming out ????
We do not have a firm ETA but it should be soon!
Very nice…👍

Ive GOT to have that fixed blade. Any word on release date?
I really like the easy open and the fixed blade. Those will be the first purchase. What type of sheath is the fixed blade going to come with?
When is the EZopen going to be released?

We are expecting them soon but we do not have a firm ETA
Very nice hope they do the heart knife next I will buy ❤👍👍
Nice, love the senator comment
Slick.👍

That fixie is in my sights.

Thanks for stopping in and making us a part of your trips!
Any idea what the Rockwell hardness is on these? I'm wondering how they would work as wood whittlers.
Depends on what you are whittling. They are great for whittling basswood, green wood, or something similar.
Wishing I had seen this after these have become available. Looking forward to the Easy open jack and the Senator.
when will the burnt stagg spade series be available? I REALLY REALY WANT
Rough Ryder has come a long way. Remember when they were nothing more than truck stop knives.
Whoa whoa whoa! What's the steel mix in that damascus? 9cr based? That fixed blade in both the appaloosa bone cinnamon bone looks fantastic
EZ open jack for the win. All are nice though. Thanks guys.
I'm drinking down that coke bottle and the bullet trapper really hits the mark! Good skinner knife.

blade steel?

Here is one of the series but the rest are coming soon!
I sure wish I could get a knife with a clip point, spear point and sheepsfoot. The three most popular blades in one package would be the ultimate edc.
