Also, thank you so much for your advice around time for finishing sets and getting your time down. I’m still completing my course and always get upset that I’m not faster 😢 So yeah, thank you so much 💐💐
I absolutely think you should be charging late fees and cancelation fees. That is money lost if they just don't show up or if they are late, it throws the whole schedule off. Especially if you have back to back appointments. And I feel like a lot of people don't take this industry seriously. Like they don't take into consideration that this is your job and your lively hood, not just a hobby. And if you are an appointment only salon, then I would request a card on file for appointments and definitely be charging a late fee and a cancelation fee. I feel that if you don't, people will take advantage of your time. And for me, if I saw they had late fees and such, I would honestly feel like they take what they do seriously and value their clients. And the clients will definitely value the nail tech. That my opinion on the topic.
Wow.... Let her operate the way she needs to, dont you think she is familiar with her options.. I mean this respectfully as can be. To tell someone to run their business that way is a bit much! Thats one of the problems people are so entitled, is this happening all the time for her? If she a reputable tech- its no need its always somebody willing to fill the spot and its not happening often.. Tuh But I understand everyones time is important..
Not yo medium length being my long 😂😂 but these were so cute I needed this exact video I just had a French tip set and painting them took sooo long to bc my technique was inconsistent and I was using a shorter line art brush and not a long one. Thanks girl can’t wait to try this on my next one 😘

Hello! I've just come across your chanel. Beautiful work!! 💅🏾 On a side note, apply liquid Black Soap to your blemish/scar, twice a day (morning & night). It will fade back to normal, or close to your natural skintone.
With the d & d polish, you have to shake it up really good. Some nail techs have the little machine that you put the bottle in and it shakes it for you.
I would add my cancelation and late fee into my deposit now if they show up on time then I will discount it, but the deposit is definitely nonrefundable
Hey i noticed you placed the clear head of acrylic down and then went in with the actual acrylic curious as to what that helps with? I’m a beginner and trying to learn everything i can
Hi Tah, I would add late fees to whatever you charge. TIME IS VERY VALUABLE.... just think if you were late anywhere else (doctors, hair appts etc etc ) they would either reschedule you or charge and go ahead and take the next appt... I'm fairly New to your channel, where are you located
Gorgeous set! I really do enjoy watching you work and seeing your amazing finished sets 😍😍💐 About the late fee… It sounds like it might be needed? Or have people pay a 25-30% non refundable deposit?
I don’t charge late fees. To me the only person losing out is the client. They booked a set amount of time and if they don’t show at that time they would likely have to settle for another design (their loss). When it’s time for my next client I am stopping service and moving on. The next client will not suffer because you couldn’t be where you asked to be on time.
When you do big charms or sugar effect how do you stop your hair getting caught in your nails 💅 without having to make them look bulky with cluster gem gel glue and other products??
13:24 do you have your clients give u a deposit of their services before appt…that may help a bit…I see a lot of nail techs charge a deposit…then day of appt the deposit goes w/ the total cost…if that makes sense…
10-15 minute late fees are a MUST. I just hope that if your late as a tech that you give them a small deduction off the price of the set for the time they booked in your chair.
Love these.. ❤❤your a absolute delight to watch work and you’ve given me some great ideas for this old lady brain 😂.. I’ll tag u on IG so I can say huge thanks .. lots glittery hugs 🫂💕🫶🏻
Rather a "late fee" it would offer an on time discount. It sounds more positive. For appointments depending on how detailed the service have a non-refundable deposit. The deposit could be half the price of the service and apply it to payment when they keep their appointments. I think a positive approach will sound better. You will actually be charging a fee for late or no show but if it is included in the price it will sound like a reward for being on time. I'm in the process of reinstating my cosmetology license. I haven't practiced in a good little while. I have approval from my state board to test. I just have to schedule a date. I've been saving up and buying a bunch of stickers and inexpensive rings from Temu, Aliexpress, Shein and the like. I want to have a little gift to give my new clients. Maybe having an awards system that people can earn little gifts it will encourage them to be timely. Also it just sounds fun.
I get someone being 5-10 minutes late if there's some kind of road conditions/accident or a reliable client who is never late and it's a short delay. But if someone is late enough to effect business it's disrespectful and there should be fees. Same with last minute cancelation, thats messing with your money, of course there should be a fee unless there's a circumstance you're willing to excuse (jail, a true emergency etc). At the end of the day it's up to each and what they're comfortable with 🤷♀️
As a receptionist, I find it very annoying for patients to not come to their appointments and we do charge a $25 same day no show fee or same day cancellation because it is the business or you losing money. They need to respect u and if they don’t they can be kicked to the curb. Ur time is more valuable as this is your living and people who do that are dumb to not realize that.
Those who don’t have late or cancellation fees are going the hate the day they decided not to have that in a policy. Trust me, eventually they’ll start charging.
I would add my cancelation and late fee into my deposit now if they show up on time then I will discount it, but the deposit is definitely nonrefundable, and those nails are 🔥💯 as always 💅🏾💅🏾
I definitely think that you should have cancelled fees especially when you are in the nail business because time is money, if clients know they can walk all over you because you are kind nah don't use my kindness for your own benefit cause I don't need you as a client 😉 know your worth babe.
Also, thank you so much for your advice around time for finishing sets and getting your time down. I’m still completing my course and always get upset that I’m not faster 😢
