Jonah, Luisa was the eldest Von Trapp daughter in THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Yes, I actually saw the original production when I was seven (the National Tour). Also, Vivian Vance and William Frawley who played Fred and Ethel Mertz on I LOVE LUCY really didn’t care for one another but you would never have known it on the set of the show. Is it just me but the Gershwin Theater reminds me of an airport terminal from the outside. I like the fact that they have a parking structure and a nice restaurant at the front of the theater. It makes it very convenient for theater goers coming in from out of town. I was told that Broadway houses are much smaller that most theaters throughout the country. Well, the Gershwin is huge, the Broadway Theater is huge (where I saw BOMBAY DREAMS) and even thought Studio 54 was large (where I saw ASSASSINS with Neil Patrick Harris).
Me and my sister enjoy watching your videos! She is disabled and really the blog with you in it! Perhaps you could give her a shout out in your next video, her name is Marisela, that would be awesome!
Julie Harris made it a practice on non matinee days to eat dinner at 4 pm and always encouraged healthy snacks like having an apple instead of chips. She wrote a marvelous book for young actors that helped me tremendously when I was sixteen back in 1874. Yes....I do indeed remember the ‘Pony Express.’
Am I mistaken or is that a Bass Clarinet I see at 4:58? When I saw the show 2 and a half years ago I didn't see a bass clarinet listed in the playbill.
Is the attic right above the audience because in the mezzanine I though an audience member opened a door so I opened and it looked like that, I didn’t go in cuz it obviously wasn’t for me
Ok. I couldn't help but notice Louisiana's (my state) flag in the background at 4:27 😊 The funny thing is, I've watched these vlogs a lot...but this is the first time I've ever noticed the flag😂😂
If you're in still in school or college, make good grades. Do lots of vocal training, take care of yourself (be healthy), practice acting, and have a good personality. Take those steps, and you might find yourself on a Broadway stage someday.
