    Perfect instructions and easy to follow. I sized down a pair of Talbot's linen pants from a thrift store saving me $105! Fit perfectly now! Thank you

    Loved your video!! But one question, I noticed the tan colored pants were a little long on you and you didn’t show anything about altering it lengthwise. So like after altering it on the sides did it just become shorter? How did you manage to get it shorter? Thanks!

    This is soo helpful to me. I have so many nice clothes but have lost so much weight recently & this is like going shopping in my own closet!! Can tell me if you cut off the extra material after taking in the pants?

    • @natalievagner
      @natalievagner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats great! Im happy I helped!:) and with the fabric - If im taking in just a few cm of the fabric I usually just leave it there because if I would cut it off, I would have to finish it with a zig zag stich and im just too lazy to do that😅. But when im taking in a large amount of fabric, I cut it off and finish it every time because otherwise the pants would look bulky.. hope this helps:)

    Will I still be able to use the pockets after?

    • @natalievagner
      @natalievagner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on how much fabric you’ll be taking away. If you’re transforming a XXL into a XS you probably wont be able to use them because too much fabric is being removed. But i trensformed so many pairs of pants and 90% of the time i was still able to use the pockets afterwards:)

    I have some pants I want to do this with but I can't take fabric from the side seam because the pockets are right at the side seam :/

    • @natalievagner
      @natalievagner  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well i would either consider taking the fabric in from the back (i forgot to mention it in this video but im sure there is a tutorial already somewhere on youtube) or i would just take it in from the side as usual but you wont be able to use the pockets afterwards:)

    Can I still use the trouser pockets afterwards?

    • @natalievagner
      @natalievagner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It depends on how much fabric you’ll be taking in. If your taking in just a few cm you should be able to use the pockets afterwards. But if you’re taking in a lot (like a few inches) than you probably won’t be able to use the pockets.

    What do i do if my pants have some lining inside ? So like theres another sheet of pants to prevents mu underwear showing. I want to downsize but dont know what to do with the inside lining 🥲

    • @natalievagner
      @natalievagner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that's a little bit more tricky:/ You can either do it the "right"way and first separate the lining from the pants and alter the pants and the lining separately and then sew it back together (there's a lot of yt tutorials on this) or you can do it the "messy" way and just alter the pants with the lining the same way as if the lining wasn't there. Im very bad at explaining but I hope it helps at least a little.
