Although the resemblance to Ezra Miller's Flash is uncanny, Davis isn't actually using super speed on this scene. His lightning is either created by his telekinetic powers, like Psylocke's sword, or is not really lightning but telepathic energy, which forced the Shadow King out of Cary's body.

Anybody else thought that the scenes with Oliver kind of killed the tension in the scenes with David? Like David flies in with a smirk on his face, they start running towards each other...Oliver remembering Melanie's name...They're encased in lightning...Oliver sliding over on a ladder.

With someone like David and the Shadow King, the powers of the others is pretty much... unpredictable.
Syd can change mind and body with another person but when there is three person in two bodies, that could have weird result.
