I knew I wouldn't be getting a scholarship from my athletic prowess... that said I wanted to contribute to the team so I shifted to the management team and taped all the games. Knowing the playbook and having an awareness of what to look for during the plays earned the reasonable respect of my former teammates and the coaching staff, and I felt great about the effort I brought to the table.

I've always got expelled from schools even tho I be a straight A student I was never a person that takes sht from others especially disrespect on video games I dont trash talk I use my skills/knowledge of technology to scare them I've gotten so far to even readout some exact home address. I dont do that anymore sense im under oath to be ethical with my skills. Lets just say all you need is a name then its pretty much game over, information is all over the internet especially personal info like name, phone number, address, heck even sometimes where you work which can lead to a spear phasing attack etc... Omg, I feel this same way when I shoot pool. The only thing about putting yourself in uncomfortable situations to battle your anxiety is that sometimes the situation don't be uncomfortable and the anxiety is still there, lol. Hobbies and games don't usually be uncomfortable situations but that pressure can be a mofo. I've come to realize that I usually cause my own anxiety when I'm shooting pool because, durr, who doesn't want to win whatever game they're playing. So I've calmed my nerves by doing two things: 1) realizing that it's not the end of the world if I lose in front of strangers and that I love myself for even trying 2) smoke a spliff prior to playing 😏😶🌫️🥴

I play Basketball in the UK. ICL I was exactly like you. I tried out for the team in year 7 after persuading my mum but anxiety kicked in soo bad, I couldn't even dribble correctly. I left early but somehow still made the team. Apparently, they told me I was on the team but it was as a joke. I was never supposed to be on the team and I never played in any games. That changed in year 11 though, I improved and my anxiety decreased. I played games and did make buckets, make a few dimes and broke one guy ankles. We were going to the finals when my mum BANNED ME from playing in the finals. I was soo upset. My teammates won, but after, they never acknowledged me as one of the basketball members. when I was told by the coach to stand up when we were being congratulated, the guys told me to never do that again and they went on some trip but didn't allow me to go. After that, I became more to myself and I never really show my emotions no more cuz I'd get teased. (If you guys actually read this, I actually appreciate it. I didn't expect it to be so long (pause) but I'm good now. I'm currently finishing my GCSE exams)
