- I don’t often get to bond with my three daughters namely Karylle, Coco and Zia since the pandemic started. We all live in our individual homes and when we get the chance to be together, it’s important to practice safety first, so we have always have ourselves tested before heading for Lucban.
In this episode, we hang out by the pool while we enjoy smoothies prepared by Zia. We get to swim in the pool and make “chika” by the stairs and lounge chairs with the fireplace lit. Such a precious moment to all be together! I’m sure that you’re all missing get-togethers with your own families and I hope this inspires you to plan a holiday together with your loved ones!
We miss Zia and naturally, since a lot of people have been requesting her to guest on my vlog, I invited her to visit the farm and together we check on the new farm animals we haven’t even named! Zia is an animal lover and is a fur Mommy to 6 fur babies!
Zia tries fishing, and we gather some ingredients needed around the farm. I teach her some Tilapia recipes that is beloved in Quezon and we also try to make our own version of the empanada that I learned to make in Ilocos. Not to be forgotten is dessert!! We make a local dessert that is made of buco and bananas!
I love cooking and it’s exhilarating to be able to teach Zia these simple recipes. And most importantly, to cook like we do in the province- with wood on a stone stove.
Join in on the fun! I’m pretty blessed to have my daughters in my life. The new memories we make with our loved ones may be fewer because of the pandemic, but they are definitely much sweeter!

I like the authenticity of your vlog of Buhay Probinsiya when you do your cooking using the old kitchen utensils and using the wood in cooking, just like an ordinary probinsiyana. Casa Esperanza is like Paradise with all your plants, decorative and edible. Your variety of animals around. I like your fishpond with the resting nipa hut made if bamboos and cogon grass for roof. But what impressed me most is your time spent with your daughters and have fun with them. How I wish I could be with my children someday.
