Idk man, the tea cups in California might not have an overhang shading it but the lush aesthetic is much more appealing to me. It fits the source material better too.
@@SirAlexTheKnight definitely, but either way it's a function primarily of the climate. I'd much rather enjoy the DL teacups under the tree canopy and paper lanterns.
AJ! I was with you for the whole video, saying “yep, she’s got it,” and “yep, totally agree” - until you got to Indiana Jones v. Dinosaur. I’m afraid that I wholly disagree. Indiana Jones is way better. The music, the fire, the darts, the rolling boulder, it makes a thrilling ride that most everyone can enjoy. (I am kidding about being mad. This whole this was fabulous. ❤)
The part where she mentions the dark scene also confused me...I think she's only ridden Indy when it was broken because there aren't supposed to be any fully dark/empty scenes, and usually aren't. This is why it's being refurbed currently. Dino on the other hand is perpetually too dark to see anything, which is to hide all the broken animatronics lol. Oh and the one time she doesn't mention a queue is with Indy, which coincidentally has a MUCH better queue...
I completely agree. It's not close at all. Indy > Dinosaur. Was also puzzled by the dark emptiness comment because I feel there is a bunch of darkness as you go from dino to dino, like a short scene to short scene.
I am shocked by Dinosaur winning! My husband and I are Disneyland locals who just took a trip to Disney World and rode Dinosaur for the first time. Evething in the cue, included the screen felt so old and outdated. Indiana Jones is timeless and beloved. I agreed with almost every other pick, and I was sure the Indy was going to win hands down!
We are planning a Disney vacation for 2025-- having trouble deciding which park! I have been to Disneyland but my wife and kids have never been to either. I love Indiana Jones and pretty much decided on Disneyland..... But the new guardian's coaster, Tron, & expedition Everest look like so much fun! I can't decide now! What is your opinion?
@@livingforhim I'm not sure about the expedition Everest, but as for Tron, I personally didn't really like it. To me, the seats felt a little uncomfortable because of the angle which made me feel stiff after the ride. Also I think Tron just got opened, so it might be kinda hard to get a spot in the roller coaster since everything gets filled out fast. As per your question, I would personally go to Disneyland and since you have been to the park, it might be a good idea since you know what to expect and how everything works there. But please take my advice with a grain of salt, and please choose it based on what you want and feel is best for you and for your family! P.S: If you are deciding to go in 2025, then I suggest you wait sometime before deciding, since you never know what might happen in each of the parks.
There is so much more to do at disneylworld. I grow up by disneyland and it is fun but Disneyworld give way more options. Tron just opened but if you are going in 2025 it shouldn’t be as bad. Disneyland gets way to congested even if you know where you are going. In the end it is up to you but I hope your family has a great time
I gotta give the last one to Indiana Jones. The boulder is really cool. In the line, you can get a cypher from a cast member to decode the secret message while waiting in line. That's neat!
Here’s the biggest difference in my opinion…you can easily walk back and forth between DCA and Disneyland to ride all these rides but in Disney World you have to take shuttles or monorails between multiple parks taking a lot more of your time.
@@coltoncvg7404 You clearly have not been to Disneyland because it is not a day trip. Disneyland Resort actually has 6 more rides than all 4 parks at WDW... So if you want to do it all at DL, you need atleast 3 days. This is also inarguable since there are 3 nighttime spectaculars at DLR...
@@LeftCoastDrones Does it really matter who is better in YOUR opinion?😂 What he wrote was correct. People go to Disney world for a longer period time than Disneyland. It’s facts. People don’t stay at Disneyland for a week or longer.
I think tea cups at Disneyland should have gotten the vote, the line is never too long and the garden aesthetic is just way better. Also did I miss it, but no comparison for Tiki rooms?
Agreed, Tea Cups is way better at DL. The shade argument is a stretch because it makes the MK version so much uglier. At Disneyland you don't need the shade because the weather is never as horrendous as FL in the summer. Same goes for all the indoor queues being the decider, it's not really a big deal with socal weather; In fact, you could argue a view into the excellent outdoor lands/aesthetics to people watch is even nicer.
AJ is insane. The Tea Party ride in Disneyland has character. Trees with hanging lanterns, The House façade, and the Hat Shop. Magic Kingdom's looks like a carnival ride from a county fair.
At least half of the Toy Story Mania queue at DCA is indoors with the most powerful AC on property. The rest is in the shade, often with umbrellas as well. Seems like a few of these were tilted to give Disney World more points.
Maybe so, but I’m in Tampa - the 3rd largest party in the US is gasparilla which is pirate festival based in Tampa. Sorry - but we/Florida definitely have CA beat when it comes to pirates
AJ, typically I listen to and believe what you suggest, but I cannot disagree more with Dinosaur -vs- Indiana Jones. Disneyland for the win for me 100%!

Lol… I don’t know any person who prefer the Dinasour over Indiana Jones😂. Man, it’s like every disneyland win is like a no contest… Every disneyworld win is like arguable😂😂😂
@@wuudy_doni For sure. I am just saying the ride-wise, not the overall experience. In terms of overall experience and as a vacation destination, I agree that Disney world is way better.
I agree, it was like WDW won because of ac or shade, DL won because of the ride is beautiful, longer. It was like it almost hurt for her to say DL was better especially when it came to Soarin.
I disagree with your choice for the tea cups. I think the canopy over the one in Walt Disney World makes it look kinda ugly, However Disneyland’s outdoor ride is gorgeous nighttime photos here are the best!
I am glad you say this because the natural instinct of someone is to look at Florida and say “ more is better “ but when it’s something that you won’t like or you enjoy then it’s another problem
I think disneylands art and attention to detail is waaay better. It very convenient to be able be able to get around parks easier. The history is better. It’s cleaner, and the magic kingdom doesn’t feel like a trashy rendition of the magic kingdom. The Peter Pan ride, a thousand times better at Disney land.
You have got to be crazy. If you used the immersive, interactive queues as a tie-breaker for other rides it’s staggering that you would choose Dinosaur over Indiana Jones. The Indiana Jones ride is an all-time classic. Dinosaur is utterly generic and forgettable. Odd that you didn’t compare the Splash Mountains.
As a Disneyland kid this was a whirlwind of emotions. I agree with most of what u said but I will fight u on the tea cups, while magic kingdom gives u a bit more shade it’s at the price of the whimsy at Disneyland. Alice in wonderland was one of my favorite movies because of the magical feeling of walking around the greenery and the cottage to the tea cups. Plus the other Alice ride nearby made it feel like a mini wonderland every time I went. Ok rant over, thanks for the video it was super nostalgic and I loved it!
In no way is Dinosaur better than Indy. Dino makes you feel like you need to go have your back adjusted after you get off. Also it is in need of major repair.
I wish you put the Indy vs Dinosaur face off first so I could’ve turned the video off earlier. Indy probably has one of the best queues in any Disney park, well written ride-story, and you get to enjoy numerous adventure gags all the while being able to actually see. Dinosaur has one dinosaur museum room, then the rest of the line looks like a boiler room. The story is kinda silly like we’re time traveling to pick up a dinosaur and we’re gonna go right before the meteor. Lastly, you might as well close your eyes throughout the ride because you really won’t see much. Genuinely thought she was joking when she awarded Dino
Very clear bias in the entire comparison. Nearly all of WDW's "wins" were not from rides themselves but from queues, or treehouse, monorail, riverboat etc lol
Dinosaur's story is not good at all. From the pre-show onward. The most laughable part is the "epic" meteor shower at the end. The music tells you it's scary and exciting, but it's just some little white lights, like shooting stars a million miles away from you. Where's the big boulders crashing all around you? I'd settle for projections even. Every time I ride it, I wish I was on Indy instead.
@@keyman6689 last time I went to the parks, my group had done every ride except Dinosaur with an hour or two left till close. We decided to go on Flight of Passage again and went back to the hotel afterwards. Didn’t feel like I missed out on anything.
I dunno about this one, AJ. By all means, pick Dinosaur over Indy if you want -- Indy has plenty of downsides to make your case with -- but "better use of space" is an odd justification when every part of that ride that isn't purposely lit is literally an unthemed warehouse. Still, glad to see you saw the light in matchups like Haunted Mansion and especially Guardians!
Disneyland's Mad Tea Party is clearly superior! That cheesy/ugly canopy above Disney World's version is a no for me. I much prefer the filtered sun through Disneyland's trees. It's just better.
Disagree - tea cups is so much better without the canopy. It has a more magical feel where the MK version seems more carnival like with the top (more clinical or something IDK) plus You can spin while watching the dl fireworks too! Besides the California sun isn’t an issue
Having grown up at Disneyland, I remember the first time I saw DisneyWorld's Small World ride for the first time and how disappointed I was. There is something so beautiful about the entrance to the Disneyland Version. Definitely it's better in Disneyland.
Just went to WDW for the first time 2 weeks ago and I thought that Dinosaur was a terrible ride. You gave so much credit to queues and IJ should have won based on that. We went on Dinosaur which had a 15 minute wait, the only time IJ will have a short wait is if you rope drop. I disagree with some others but could at least see your pov. This one you are completely wrong.
AJ: "I'm including the monorail on this list because I consider it a ride." Also AJ: "I don't like the monorail in Disneyland because it's like a ride."
I agree 100% with you until your last point… Indiana Jones is a superior ride over dinosaurs in my opinion. Great video though- fun to see you do what I do every time I go to the parks!
I know I’m a local Disneylander so my bias is heavily Land > World but it seems like some of these DisneyWorld rides don’t hold a candle to Walt’s OG Disneyland rides even with updated theming, shorter wait times, etc. Been to both parks and there’s just more of a nostalgic feel at Land vs. World.
Disneyland is miles above the Magic Kingdom for theming, nostalgia, lines, and classic dark rides not even found in Florida (Mr. Toads Wild Ride, Pinocchio, Indiana Jones, etc.). And no, the monorail at Disney World is not a ride. It's transportation to the park.
I am ride or die Disney World, but the teacups at Disneyland are my favorite. You MUST ride the teacups in DL at night. The entire ride lights up beautifully! It’s on my nighttime bucket list every time i go to DL
This video should be renamed: "Disney World vs Disneyland Queues." SIX (6!) of WDW's "wins" were from the queues alone; The others were from the treehouse (not a ride), the monorail (not a ride, nor an official attraction), the carousel, and the steamboat (Disneyland's views are better imo). That leaves DL as the real winner by a very large margin. Not to mention Indy Adventure is objectively superior to Dino. When Indy is fully functioning (they are refurbing currently), there are zero empty scenes and it is truly one of the greatest rides ever built. It also features one of the greatest queues; It's interactive (falling spike ceiling, man in the well etc) and has decodable hidden messages throughout...Ironically the best queue is the one not mentioned. Dino is mostly dark and broken. Tea Cups is better at DL. The garden aesthetic, next to the Matterhorn and Alice ride, is prettier, especially at night. DL doesn't need all the indoor stuff, the summers are comfortable. I slightly prefer Peter Pan at DL. It's the original and has music throughout, whereas MK's is mostly silent which is very noticeable. Jungle Cruise is debatable. Sure MK's is longer with the temple...but there's not too much to look at in most of the temple, and the unique scenes at DL are probably better...no piranhas at MK! There are also visible electrical boxes, fences etc that take me out of the immersion in MK... Finally, I must affirm that Small World and Pirates at MK are a disgrace. They're so much worse in literally every way. Pirates also makes PERFECT sense in NOS at DL; It doesn't make sense at MK shoehorned in its own weird corner of "Spanish(?) Adventureland"...🤨
Was on board with you for the most part until the end. Are you insane? Indiana Jones is a no brainer. We are all scratching our heads on that one and seriously doubting your judgement. 🙃
The whole video, I was saying “Yup!”, “Uh huh!”, and “Oh yeah, I agree!” minus a few takes, until we got to the very end. Indy is one of the most immersive attractions ever built by Disney. It constantly keeps me on the edge of my seat during the whole experience and it’s just overall a fun time. While I do think Dinosaur is still a great and thrilling experience, Indy makes it look like child’s play. We all got opinions, and that’s great, but I’m afraid I have to disagree.
OMG I am going to be in Disneyworld in less than 10 days! I have been binge watching all your tip videos! You are very appreciated! I would feel totally lost without your team's tips!
Awesome! Just know she is 100% wrong about Indiana Jones. It’s far superior lol to dinosaur. The parks are very different but I love Disneyland! More rides in a smaller space and some are defiantly better than the Florida versions. You will love it!
@@SWilliams-01 I haven't been to Disneyland since DCA was being BUILT. I love that Both Coasts r Different. Both Coasts have Different experiences and Some rides r on One Coast but Not the Other. I grew up going to Florida since we r An Hour Flight. I do want to go during Halloween for the Unique Haunted mansion.
Regardless of which resort may have claimed a 1-point win, the winner overall is very clearly Disneyland. The reason being that all of the attractions featured are spread out amongst 4 parks at WDW, while they're concentrated into 2 at DLR. It's for this reason that I consider the original Disneyland park as my overall favorite among the 6. I'll also add that I was confused as the comment about the line for the monorail at DLR. I don't remember the last time or even if there has ever been one where I had to wait for more than 1 train in order to ride. If there was, it may have been during the days where it went to the Disneyland Hotel, not Downtown Disney.
I was thinking the same about the number of parks. I found myself saying, "but all those rides are at 2 easily hopped parks where you named 4 for DW" 😄
Sorry, AJ, the Disneyland Tea Cups are better. The uncovered version and location is a perfect spot to watch a parade or the fireworks while ON the ride! Or in the queue, either way, you have a great, unobstructed view, a cool experience, and you're multitasking. Also, it's not at hot for as many months in Disneyland. A lot of the year, we love that sun in Cali.
Something I notice is that while Disney World usually wins by a small difference or technicality (eg. wait times or line differences), Disneyland usually wins by a far larger margin (eg. Pirates, Space Mountain)
Totally disagree with the tea cups. Disneyland tea cups are WAY better than the ones at Magic Kingdom. So much more beautiful and magical especially at night. Not to mention the DL one is right in front of the Alice ride which makes it much more cohesive.
Pirates makes sense in New Orleans square because New Orleans has a ton of history involving pirates. Jean Lafitte was a real pirate who lived in Barataria bay and actually he and his men helped Andrew Jackson fight and win the Battle of New Orleans. His old bar still stands in the quarter and is called Lafitte’s blacksmith shop. Lots of pirates in New Orleans and Louisiana.
I would have given the edge to Teacups in DL as there is never much of a wait and the open air vibe is far superior. I feel Indiana Jones is WAY better than Dinosaur, but I can understand why you chose Dinosaur. Honestly, I feel too much emphasis was given to the queues, which is how WDW gained most of its points. As for actual ride differences, in almost every instance, DL rides outperform their WDW counterparts. The big ones-Space, Thunder, POTC, HM, IASW, etc-are all far superior at DL. WDW definitely has superior Dumbo, Pooh and Astro rides, but those aren’t driving anyone to the parks. To give the final edge to WDW… I don’t see it, sorry.
Why judge the treehouses if the one in Disneyland is being refurbished to be like the one in WDW? I also think that while the Tea Cups at Disneyland is much more atmospheric. Yes WDW Tea Cuos have more shaded cover but based on some of the atmospheric settings AJ rated other rides it’s ridiculous she choose the WDW Tea Cups. Both parks have amazing rides so it doesn’t really master “who has the best rides”. But I prefer more of the rides at Disneyland.
you forgot to mention disneyland's it's a small world has a christmas overlay, with the song being changed to a mashup of "jingle bells" and "deck the halls" with "it's a small world after all". magic kingdom's jungle cruise and tomorrowland speedway also have holiday overlays but they aren't that massively changed
I didn’t realize that the Nightmare overlay on Haunted Mansion was a Disneyland only thing. Glad to know that now rather than before disappointment if I go to DisneyWorld for fall/winter 😅
Growing up with Disneyland and enjoying the exterior of Small World so much, Magic Kingdom Small World just doesn't feel special at all- it's like they didn't even try to make it memorable.
Mark Twain is better than the Liberty Belle. The ROA in WDW has no story along the river compared to DLP. The carousel at DLP has Mary and Burt riding it on the daily with guests. The tree houses can’t be compared because at the time of the video, the tree house at DLP has been closed for 6 months in re-theming. Teacups at Disneyland are so much more enjoyable under the stars at night than under a metal lid of a canopy. And… how can AJ say “I like the Disneyland version better” referring to Indiana Jones and then give it to Dinosaur, which is definitely NOT as good. And that’s by almost EVERYONE. DFB you stirred up a hornets 🐝 nest!! 😂 I have it WDW 11 - DLP - 16.
There is not enough transition space in Orlando's Galaxy's Edge. The queue for Rise of the Resistance literally leaves the land and the illusion of being on Batuu is broken. This doesnt make sense when Orlando has so much more space, point Disneyland....also Dinosaur is just a terrible ride compared to Indy.
Exactly. The transitions from Critter Country and Big Thunder Trail take you from wooded area to wooded area (especially the transition from Critter Country). At every transition, there's zero chance of seeing any conflicting theming at any entrance (aside from maybe the changes in light posts or railing) at any angle. In HS you can literally see the subway tile in the tunnel to the backlot area and there isn't even an offset heading into Toy Story land.
Whenever I'm asked which park is better I always say that you have to go to both. BOTH are world class theme parks and BOTH should be bucket list vacation destinations. I don't understand why people always think that they can only go to one and that they have to choose. That's probably why they refuse to pick a third location. :) Hopefully with all the extra Universal locations it will change all of that though.
Nah, you definitely gave WDW a few wins to make it more interesting but DLR is clearly the winner. How can you call the galaxy’s edge attractions ties but not the carrousels? Plus why would include the Tree Houses but not the Splash Mountains? DLR’s Mad Tea Party and Indy are both far superior to their east coast counterparts. Disneyland easily wins and not just by 1 point
15-12 Disneyland wins. The steam boat ride in Disneyland is far superior to the WDW due to the pirate ship and it's appearance as an actual item in Fantasmic the show which can add extra magic to those that ride it during the day and then see it in the show at night. The length isn't really a thing to most people. Indiana Jones is also far superior to the dinosaur ride as I am really surprised the queue wasn't mentioned. You go from wandering in the jungle into the temple itself where there are a lot of classic "indiana jones" traps, tropes and nostalgia. In one room if you lean against the poll the roof will start to lower with spikes and the doors will close on you. There's also a hidden language you can decipher on the walls that is full of story and classic indy nostalgia. Also, with the updates they did add a little variety to the pre-show as the original indy ride actually had 3 different doors or "paths" you would go into that made it fun to wonder what door you would get. I would also call out that the ride flows way better with the main temple room in the middle making it more of a huge big open space versus the "hallways of foliage and robotic dinos".
I think my nostalgia wins out every time, I prefer Disneyland. But it's more than just the rides, I like that you can walk around and not have to take 2 or 3 different transportation to get to and from the park. I like staying in a nearby hotel for cheap, and just walk in and out! Even if my feet beg to differ LOL
While I thought this could be close, totally disagree with the result. Agree with some that many versions of the rides at Disney World fall immensely flat when compared to the versions at Disneyland. The Teacups at DL are superior in every way. Why even include the riverboats as I found the version at WDW to be subpar aesthetically. And Indiana Jones and Dinosaur do not ever need to be compared in anyway! Indy for the win on that head to head. Seems like little things were used to give Disney World the win…just sayin.
Great video! I Agreed with all the points given EXCEPT the last one.. I’ve been on both and Dino ride while yes scary and thrilling there’s more to the line que for Indiana Jones, (extra bonus) including some fun interactive things, and fully immersive surroundings like the Batcave and the crumbling temple as you wander through to the ride. I also noticed that you did not do Splash Mountain is this because Walt Disney World no longer has a Splash Mountain, but Disneyland currently still does (for now..) I would say possibly Disney World for the win for that one which would still create a tie at 14 each! (Giving Indiana Jones the other point from earlier..) WDW has the side-by-side two seater logs which I’ve also ridden in and enjoyed having someone to ride next to you instead of front back, just like your comparison with Space Mountain WDW VS DL Ride Vehicles.😁👍🏼
Train/Small World is so great in Disneyland. The train going through the Small World facade has a magical aesthetic. And the facade itself makes Disneyland's superior. Also, the boats floating around the topiaries before going into the show building adds more entertainment and show.
I haven't been to DL for Runaway Train but I'll give it to DL by far because the line cue is SO much better in DL and Runaway in HS is in the wrong park...should be in MK!
I love that you spaced the wins out for each park to show that each park is really neck and neck for rides. What one park lacks, it easlily makes up for in other rides.
Great Video, i went to Disneyland and DCA in 2008, Loved it, i was 48 yrs old went with my brother. Always wanted to go to DisneyWorld never got to go. Im 63 now i enjoy watching the Videos that People Showcase Here on TH-cam, So Its Like They Are taking me With Them. I Like It. Thanks AJ For Sharing This. Disney world has soooo much more. I grow up in the LA area went to Disney countless times but started going to Disney world and absolutely love it there. I love how big Disney springs is and how many more options I have . There is even a Cirque du Soleil show, bowling and rides . But the biggest things is double the parks you don’t even have to leave Disney property to find affordable hotels for every budget. You can do the monorail or skyliner crawl and don’t even have to pay for admission to a park. I know Disney land was the “original “ but Walt had a great vision in Florida that he started it is outstanding.
Individual preference for rides will differ, obviously, but overall, DLR’s experience is vastly superior. Genie+ works as intended, the whole thing is scaled appropriately for humans to be able to enjoy, the weather is far and away more stable and comfortable than Florida, and you don’t get planning anxiety when preparing for a trip. I used to live in the south so WDW was the obvious choice. Now that i’m in the midwest and it’s about the same effort to go to either, I will be a Disneyland stan forever.
As someone who’s only been to wdw and dlp, when I compare rides they both have Paris wins nearly every time, why it’s so sad how under appreciated that park is!
Such a fun video!! BUT - You said it yourself AJ, the theming at Indiana Jones is better and also the queue is far superior. As many have said in the comments that point should go to DL. I’d also give DL the point for Mad Tea Party - the theming of the area with the Alice In Wonderland ride and Mad Hatter store right there just fits better. Shade shmade. All the others I’d have to say I completely agree with. I was a little surprised you didn’t mention Splash, but we’ll have to revisit that once it’s redone. Splash was clearly superior at WDW. But overall the winner is DL!!
Have you ever been to DLP? Would be cool to hear how some of these stack up to those attractions. Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain in Paris are arguably the best of the bunch (before the hyperspace overlay at least)
You purposely voted up nit picky things because the vote isn’t actually real. It’s rigged to show them both as close when they aren’t. IMO Disney world gets 9 and is better at: 1)Astro orbiter 2)Dumbo 3)Jungle cruise 4)Carousel (does anyone even care?) 5)Ariel 6)Peter Pan 7)Star tours 8)Midway mania 9)Monorail (but it’s not a ride-your pushing it ) Disneyland has 17 and wins at 1)Autopia 2)Big thunder 3)Astro blaster 4)Railroad 5)Haunted mansion 6)Small world 7)Mad tea party 8)Pooh (line is way shorter and we still have toad) 9)Mickey and Minnie’s railway 10)Pirates 11)Soarin’ 12)Space mountain 13)Rise of the resistance (line is way shorter) 14)Radiator springs 15)Guardians mission breakout 16)Grizzly river run 17)Indiana Jones Tie: Mark Twain Millennium falcon Tree house
Really? You always talk smack on Dinosaur in your vids and now you say its better than Indy? Biased. Lets put it this way, Dinosaur has a consistent 10 minute wait time and Indiana Jones has a consistent 70 or longer minute wait. I rest my case
I feel it’s tough to use wait times as a factor. Park capacity is much higher in WDW, so wait time isn’t really an indicator of if a ride is better or not
Now I have to go to DL to ride their restored Thunder Mountain, and other attractions that have been introduced since my last visit! My one disagreement is with Winnie-the-Pooh. I love the gentle wave-motion throughout the DL ride, and the buzzing bees at the end. DL still has Mr. Toad!
AJ I think you were right on all of the comparisons, except for Dinosaur vs. Indiana Jones. I am an East Coast girl, but Indiana Jones is a better ride. My whole family was hoping the new Indiana Jones movie would inspire a change on that ride in Animal Kingdom as they re-do the whole Dinoland area. Anyway, my family would vote for Indiana Jones hands down.
This is a great video AJ, however, I do not think it makes any sense to compare test track and radiator springs because they’re similar or almost exactly the same tracks. The ride is completely different. It’s not the same theme, genre, it’s not really like following the vibe of this video to pit two rides against each other that are completely not the same ride. I feel like these should have been left out of the video.
As far as the treehouses go, let’s not forget that the Disneyland treehouse was the Swiss Family Treehouse from 1962 to 1999 (37 years), and the Florida treehouse is a copy, built 9 years after the original. Yes, Anaheim suffered through the Tarzan years, but now the treehouse is indeed returning to its “roots”.
HOW can you say tea cups are better in MK??? I agree with almost everything else, but nothing compares to that view at nighttime. The theming of that entire land is far superior, no question.
OUTRAEPUs!! DW's Peter Pan BETTER than DISNEYLANDS?!?!?!1111. NOT EVEN CLOSE. Disneyworld's old, ugly, noisy Peter Pan is distractingly bad almost everywhere you look besides the scenes themselves (which are hard to miss because of the attention drawingly noisy, rickety old animatronics). As to the rest?: exposed beams, pealing tar paper and underlaminate, all set to the sound of 50% soundtrack, 50% ride vehicle noise. Disneyland's beautifully updated, projection mapped, remastered audio, and well oiled ride vehicles are transportive. As a native Southern Californian I could not have been more disappointed in the sorry state of DW's Peter Pan. I may have loved the DW line and you AJ, but gotta call this one out.

In the end it is up to you but I hope your family has a great time
@@livingforhim 1000% Disneyworld in Florida. Waaaaaaay more to do, eat, see, and experience.
I LOVE Indiana Jones. It's my favorite ride out of all the parks.
That’s because Disney world is a more than one day trip while Disney land is a day trip.
@@coltoncvg7404 Disneyland is better and if you think Orlando is better, you deserve Dinosaur, heat and humidity.
@@EEvtg I’ve been to Disneyland and you are correct. You need at least three day but at Disney world, people stay for at least a week.
I think tea cups at Disneyland should have gotten the vote, the line is never too long and the garden aesthetic is just way better. Also did I miss it, but no comparison for Tiki rooms?
She said she wasn't going to compare shows so maybe that is why?
I agree, I just wrote my tea cups argument!
And yea Tiki Room is much better at DL.
Yes, Disneyland's placement of tea cups right next to Alice is perfect, and the soundtrack always cracks me up.
AJ is insane. The Tea Party ride in Disneyland has character. Trees with hanging lanterns, The House façade, and the Hat Shop. Magic Kingdom's looks like a carnival ride from a county fair.
Disneyland Tea cups wins hands down!
I came here to say this!! Saying Mk Tea party is better was an EGREGIOUS error. There is no comparison.
Agreed!
At least half of the Toy Story Mania queue at DCA is indoors with the most powerful AC on property. The rest is in the shade, often with umbrellas as well. Seems like a few of these were tilted to give Disney World more points.
Definitely heavilly padded towards WDW
Couldn’t agree more
It’s Florida bias
Especially the treehouse. They’re not even rides and I feel like they were only on the list to give Disney World a point
@Joopitor especially when she's saying she's aware the DL one is in the process of change. Then why unfairly include it??
For me, Indiana Jones takes the cake every single time I was bored in dinosaur, but Indiana Jones keeps me entertained every time I go back
AJ seems baffled by Disneyland having pirates in New Orleans. Has she not heard of historical pirates like Jean Lafitte?
Prirates we're a huge part of the east coast history. Including LA.
Half the French Quarter has references to Lafitte. Plus, there’s Pirates Alley between Jackson Square and Royal Street.
I was about to say this!
I know! I just made this comment before I scrolled down lol.
Came here to say the same!
Nah ur crazy asf Indiana jones is sooooo bad
@@Bitch_I_got_them_birds_manjust because dinosaurs are boring doesn’t mean you need to belittle the cool exhibition that is Indiana jones to convince yourself you’re having fun
@@Bitch_I_got_them_birds_manjust because dinosaurs are boring doesn’t mean you need to belittle the cool exhibition that is Indiana jones to convince yourself you’re having fun
Lol… I don’t know any person who prefer the Dinasour over Indiana Jones😂. Man, it’s like every disneyland win is like a no contest… Every disneyworld win is like arguable😂😂😂
Disney World has way more stuff to do
@@wuudy_doni For sure.
@@wuudy_doni Epcot is lame if you've actually traveled to those countries.
@@wuudy_doni as an overall resort, yes. Disneyland has FAR more to do than Magic Kingdom, even before they built Galaxys Edge there.
I disagree with your choice for the tea cups. I think the canopy over the one in Walt Disney World makes it look kinda ugly, However Disneyland’s outdoor ride is gorgeous nighttime photos here are the best!
Now keep it mind I grew up in Florida and am an annual passholder for Disney World. However, Disneyland’s rides are absolutely superior in every way.
Yep, I love both but most of the wins she gives Florida are padding from queues, treehouse, carrousel, monorail etc lol
I am glad you say this because the natural instinct of someone is to look at Florida and say “ more is better “ but when it’s something that you won’t like or you enjoy then it’s another problem
They have to take advantage of the limited space they have
I think disneylands art and attention to detail is waaay better. It very convenient to be able be able to get around parks easier. The history is better. It’s cleaner, and the magic kingdom doesn’t feel like a trashy rendition of the magic kingdom. The Peter Pan ride, a thousand times better at Disney land.
Your wrong by a mile,I’ve been to both and they are equal in every phase
Dinosaur is lame. And you were choosing based on queues. Indy has one of the best out there.
Plus the one in world makes this horrid pop noise when it stops and it sounds like it’s breaking. Very off-putting
In no way is Dinosaur better than Indy. Dino makes you feel like you need to go have your back adjusted after you get off. Also it is in need of major repair.
Agreed! I got a floater in my eye from it because of the jerkiness! Indy superior
I agree with this. A lot more to see in the Indie queue and ride itself.
@David Cordero You made the right choice. But, I'll do Dinosaur if the line is short, mostly for the ride system. Sometimes I close my eyes!
Nah ur crazy
Disneyland's Mad Tea Party is clearly superior! That cheesy/ugly canopy above Disney World's version is a no for me. I much prefer the filtered sun through Disneyland's trees. It's just better.
Disagree - tea cups is so much better without the canopy. It has a more magical feel where the MK version seems more carnival like with the top (more clinical or something IDK) plus You can spin while watching the dl fireworks too! Besides the California sun isn’t an issue
Totally agree! Very whimsical and at night, nothing compares.
Tea cups at night with all the lanterns lit up is Disneyland magic vibes!
100 percent this. There is little thought put into the MK and the Disneyland one has actual theming.
Having grown up at Disneyland, I remember the first time I saw DisneyWorld's Small World ride for the first time and how disappointed I was. There is something so beautiful about the entrance to the Disneyland Version. Definitely it's better in Disneyland.
The Small World at MK in general is so much worse. The scenes have less depth and figures.
Yeah MK small world feels like your in a giant warehouse
Just went to WDW for the first time 2 weeks ago and I thought that Dinosaur was a terrible ride. You gave so much credit to queues and IJ should have won based on that. We went on Dinosaur which had a 15 minute wait, the only time IJ will have a short wait is if you rope drop. I disagree with some others but could at least see your pov. This one you are completely wrong.
Tea Cups under the night sky with the lanterns WAY better!!! Disneyland hands down.
AJ: "I'm including the monorail on this list because I consider it a ride."
Also AJ: "I don't like the monorail in Disneyland because it's like a ride."
World.
STRONG disagree with the teacups and Indiana jones losing especially with the new update of Indy.
Indiana jones all the way. Especially after the refurbishment
I am ride or die Disney World, but the teacups at Disneyland are my favorite. You MUST ride the teacups in DL at night. The entire ride lights up beautifully! It’s on my nighttime bucket list every time i go to DL
This video should be renamed: "Disney World vs Disneyland Queues."
SIX (6!) of WDW's "wins" were from the queues alone; The others were from the treehouse (not a ride), the monorail (not a ride, nor an official attraction), the carousel, and the steamboat (Disneyland's views are better imo).
Pirates also makes PERFECT sense in NOS at DL; It doesn't make sense at MK shoehorned in its own weird corner of "Spanish(?) Adventureland"...🤨
haha nice one, Dinosaur better than Indy lol, thats a funny joke
We all got opinions, and that’s great, but I’m afraid I have to disagree.
no ma’am. Disneyland is better in Teacups, Peter Pan, and Indiana Jones FOR SURE! Disneyland overall ❤
I think you got this one wrong! There’s no way that Dinos can beat Indy Jones… you should have left it at a tie ….
OMG I am going to be in Disneyworld in less than 10 days! I have been binge watching all your tip videos! You are very appreciated! I would feel totally lost without your team's tips!
Do ALL EARS too
Have a great time!!
U will Enjoy disney world cause of 4 parks instead of 2. More hotels, restaurants. Festival of the Arts is happening now at Epcot
It's kind of sad to keep it even you basically give ever ride that was a 50/50 toss up to Disney world. Disneyland is the easy winner.
You are wrong about Indiana Jones and you have failed 😊
Totally disagree with the tea cups. Disneyland tea cups are WAY better than the ones at Magic Kingdom. So much more beautiful and magical especially at night. Not to mention the DL one is right in front of the Alice ride which makes it much more cohesive.
Disneyland will always reign supreme
She did that to even out the score otherwise Disneyland would have blown world away.
you forgot to mention disneyland's it's a small world has a christmas overlay, with the song being changed to a mashup of "jingle bells" and "deck the halls" with "it's a small world after all". magic kingdom's jungle cruise and tomorrowland speedway also have holiday overlays but they aren't that massively changed
I didn’t realize that the Nightmare overlay on Haunted Mansion was a Disneyland only thing. Glad to know that now rather than before disappointment if I go to DisneyWorld for fall/winter 😅
Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion are better in California
Agreed
Growing up with Disneyland and enjoying the exterior of Small World so much, Magic Kingdom Small World just doesn't feel special at all- it's like they didn't even try to make it memorable.
2 big disagrees.
Mad tea party:
California way superior. 6.7/10 vs 9/10
Indiana way superior.
Indiana: 9.5/10
Dinosaur 8.6/10
I have it WDW 11 - DLP - 16.
For some rides Disneyland is better, pirates in particular.
Disneyland wins simply because they still have Mr. Toads Wild ride (I know they are comparing the same rides only)
I mean.... You take away the actual queue differences and Disneyland EASILY wins.
Hot take, I like Disneyland better than WDW’s Magic Kingdom.
Agreed. People ask us all the time to tell them which one they should choose… you can’t ask me an either or for Disney… it’s all of them. haha.
Of course Disney World has better queues, you have to wait three times as long to get on the ride.
(Giving Indiana Jones the other point from earlier..)
WDW has the side-by-side two seater logs which I’ve also ridden in and enjoyed having someone to ride next to you instead of front back, just like your comparison with Space Mountain WDW VS DL Ride Vehicles.😁👍🏼
I mostly agree with your picks but I prefer Indy over Dinosaur and Tower of Terror over Mission Breakout.
I Love StarWars, Marvel and Tron Movies.🥳🥰💜☺️😃😇😘💕
Worst tie breaker. Indiana Jones all the way.
I definitely Need to go back to Disneyland!!! Haven't been in OVER 20yrs!!! When I went DCA was Being BUILT
I really wish wdw had a bengal barbequeue and a jolly holiday
Have you ever been to DLP? Would be cool to hear how some of these stack up to those attractions. Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain in Paris are arguably the best of the bunch (before the hyperspace overlay at least)
You purposely voted up nit picky things because the vote isn’t actually real. It’s rigged to show them both as close when they aren’t. IMO Disney world gets 9 and is better at:
1)Astro orbiter
2)Dumbo
3)Jungle cruise
4)Carousel (does anyone even care?)
5)Ariel
6)Peter Pan
7)Star tours
8)Midway mania
9)Monorail (but it’s not a ride-your pushing it )
Disneyland has 17 and wins at
1)Autopia
2)Big thunder
3)Astro blaster
4)Railroad
5)Haunted mansion
6)Small world
7)Mad tea party
8)Pooh (line is way shorter and we still have toad)
9)Mickey and Minnie’s railway
10)Pirates
11)Soarin’
12)Space mountain
13)Rise of the resistance (line is way shorter)
14)Radiator springs
15)Guardians mission breakout
16)Grizzly river run
17)Indiana Jones
Tie:
Mark Twain
Millennium falcon
Tree house
And you didn’t even mention the three Country Bear Jamboree animatronics inside Disneyland’s The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh ride?
Used to be able to stay on the monorail at Disneyland. Miss those days. I also miss going over the Golden Gate Bridge in DCA
Park capacity is much higher in WDW, so wait time isn’t really an indicator of if a ride is better or not
Indiana Jones is much much better than Dinosaur. The cue alone wins it but the ride is awe inspiring especially with the skull/bridge reveal.
@DFBGuide. If you had done Splash Mountain, who would you pick. Personally I would have picked Disneylands but I am curious
Disneylands teacups gose better with the theming instead of it being shaded
Now I have to go to DL to ride their restored Thunder Mountain, and other attractions that have been introduced since my last visit!
My one disagreement is with Winnie-the-Pooh. I love the gentle wave-motion throughout the DL ride, and the buzzing bees at the end.
DL still has Mr. Toad!
I like being able to wait by the exit of pirates in Disneyland I can’t really do that in Disney world
AJ I think you were right on all of the comparisons, except for Dinosaur vs.
I love Alice in Wonderland.
Disneyland > Magic Kingdom
HOW can you say tea cups are better in MK??? I agree with almost everything else, but nothing compares to that view at nighttime. The theming of that entire land is far superior, no question.
You could have add small World Christmas overlay
Great video, but you got at least two wrong. Indiana Jones wins over DINOSAUR and, definitely DLR teacups over WDW!
how come no splash mtn comparison? 💀
