This is why many are going about seeking power. As good and important fasting is, that's not what gives power. True power is in the word. There is a difference between power in spiritual gifts, but that's not the power Paul is saying in Romans 1:16 & 17. True and real power is the power to overcome this world and the things of the this world. Which is sin. When am talking about sin, not fornication or the the likes, but the sin cain became. The real sin of cain wasn't the killing of Abel, but the works that Satan successfully did inside him. That's what John said in 1 John that Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. The works of the devil is not the works of the flesh or witchcraft oppression, although these are evil, but the works of the devil is forming his nature in us. I will stop it here.

Fasting is important,Jesus fasted and returned in the power of the spirit.True fasting is basically feasting on the Word and praying as moved by the Holy Spirit.When you live a fasted life,it’s easier to overcome temptation.

Fasting starve the flesh. Flesh is always in sync with the sin/devil. Flesh always lust against the Spirit and these are contrary to one another. Galatians 5:16-26 It's the flesh that's making us powerless Christians. The scripture says; Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
The apostles in the early churches fasted several times. If an individual don't want the power of God working in their life, there's no need for them to fast and pray ..etc. The kingdom of God is not in word but in power. We need the power of God. Acts 1:8 disciples waited for the Holy Spirit and they receive power of God, Acts 10:38 Jesus was anointed with Holy Spirit and power.
Fasting and prayer is always accompanied with the Word of God. We've many who knows the Word but no power.
It's power of God will make us have dominion over sin and it's impossible for a person who's walking in the power of God to sin. Believers don't seek the power of God, for anything else but only to advance the Kingdom of God. To let His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
The power of God heals all kinds of sicknesses, set the oppress free, raise the death.. etc. This is the way to advance His Kingdom, because in His Kingdom there's no blind, there's no sickness, etc.
Let's not misunderstand and take lightly what the MOG has shared. It's solely for the believers to press into God more than ever and not be complacent with our ordinary powerless Christian. He's showing us that's it possible for every believers to get into that dimensions that he has experienced. I want that. Enough of powerlessness, enough of sick people around me, enough of untimely dead, ... God is raising up people in this generation. He's not saying fasting isn't important in overcoming flesh but without the application of The Word (Jesus inspired Holy Spirit authorized by the Father) neither power(anointing:oil, fire, water) nor victory(testimony) will come(grace, aunction).
Fasting, praying, praise and worship, faith, love, consecration, conviction etc are mere dimensions. If engaged without Word then one has misrepresented their intentions even though they are good things for the vessel/person.
Hence, without Word
Consecration will equal celibacy
Conviction will equal accountability
Faith will equal belief
Prayer will become communication
Fasting will become hunger strike
(these things are good in themselves but can't be profitable for direction)
With the Word, applied they become
- Holiness, Contrite/Contrition, Hope, Speaking the Will of all or any of the God head, Yielding.
*fasting is not limited to the abstaining of food, but displeasure.
*we can pray amiss and fast amiss too.

Real revival will take more than this Fasting and Prayer you preach alot... The real revival is this.... Having the character of Christ in it's entirety.. Read Zechariah 7 and Isaiah 57.. The Lord showed me these two main scriptures and these two scriptures among others are what will bring revival back to billions of soul across the nation's of the world... Not healing, Not Speaking in tongues, Not Prayer and Fasting, Not prophecy, Not financial prosperity, Not all these imperfections..

So, how do you think we will get to the place of having by the character of Christ. The reason we were created is primarily to worship and fellowship with God.
Read the Bible and accounts of previous revivals, read about the Welsh revival, the 1930 revival, IT IS PRAYER THAT BRINGS REVIVAL, AND EFFECTUAL PRAYER CAN ONLY BE BUILT ON THE WORD OF GOD.

Brother, please don't misunderstand. It's in the place of prayer, God reveals the nature of our wicked heart. It's in the place of prayer God we're being change and being transformed. To have a character like Christ, we ought to do what Christ did. Always, seeking the face of God and not doing His own will and wish. He clearly lived a crucified life even before He was crucified. He many times in gospel of John said I can of myself do nothing.. He always rely on the Father.
Without prayer how can we hear God. If we just hear like that anytime, anywhere there's no need for us to pray. Naturally, our human nature NEVER want to pray and NEVER want to fast and NEVER want to read the Word and apply it. Because these are Kingdom activity. And if we don't do this we're sure that our flesh is very much alive. In Zechariah 7 instead of directly going to verse 8-14 .. if we first read 7:5 "Say to all the people of the land, and to the priests: When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months during those seventy years, did you really fast for ME----for ME??
It doesn't mean that everyone is like the disobedient Israelites. There's geniune MOG that fast and seek the face of the LORD. And when we do that, GOD always always looks at the condition of our heart. Because if our heart is not right we'll not see GOD. We'll not encounter Him. And once we've had that experience that practicing Verse 9&10 becomes easy.
Jesus himself said, out of the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks. Our heart is deal in the place of prayer and fasting. Without that we cannot do good. If an evil (evil heart) says something good, it's still evil. Because His heart is not right.
But we all with unveiled face, holding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord are being transformed to the same image from glory to glory just as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 corinth 3:18 this happens in the place of prayer ..
A person who sincerely prays consistently and fast often and abide in the Word of God and be careful to obey in it, will be a mighty tool in the hand of God.

if you like fast and pray for 70years just like the priest did in Zec 7. God will not heaken to you..

Abide in the word of God, walk in his statutes, then we can cry aloud to him and he will answer... Fast and he will hearken...
But in as much we keep putting prayer first before obeying God. We deceive ourselves...

This is what we preach then alongside that, call upon His name and he will answer and why we are yet speaking he will hear.. Isaiah 65:24
Anyone, Take your time to study Isaiah 58, and see what results in through breaking forth of light (revival). That is what I preach.
Isaiah 58:9 THEN shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
Notice the word THEN, something most have precede, a prerequisite something that comes first before that "THEN"

Prayer and fasting is key. Which word did babalola read. The man became mighty by prayer and fasting. All these word people. Word word word is why why we have too many lecturers in the pulpit. Even satan knows the word. Oga rest. Without fasting and prayer. You are nothing. You are like a tissue paper even if the entire bible is in your head. In fact because of people like this that are criticizing that u have too many people confusing the body with satanic Rhema. Imagine that one explaining confusion. Making people more confused. Making people feel the word is one mysterious book. Simple exhortation power broke out in less than 6mins. And instead of you to covet the Grace to bury urself in fasting. You begin to confuse even urself that it's not by fasting and prayer. Mr word man. Mteeweeeee. If I sight such people around my Ministry I will use high saop to wash brain. And if u refuse to be washed. I cast you out.

Power is good, but the manifestation of power is for outsiders. For the church and the brethren, it must always be the word of God.
