I don't know. It feels normal to me (aside from Tabby horror memes I've seen before I came here). It feels like "fight scene" OST you found in cartoons, that plays when the protagonist trying to find the villain or something, and there's not much time before bad things happen to the entire kingdom/world they live in.

I've seen some Soviet cartoons, and my God, are they confusing.
They are just exotic for you. And this is also from 60s, so it's strange even for me. You can achieve the same effect by watching anime, for example - that's one of reasons it is so popular. What cartoons exactly have you seen?

@@Joleyn-Joy Tbh, that’s just the exotic stuff nobody really saw. The general bulk of soviet animation was generally “sane”, though quite expressive. But as a child I did see a bit of the “weird” side of the soviet animation.
@@Joleyn-Joy , seems like you have yet to watch Suur Tõll, Bazaar (the only surviving fragment of 1933 The Tale of the Priest and of His Workman Balda) and whole bunch of perestroika age cartoons: Potets/Frother, 1988 Wind by Armenfilm, There Will Come Soft Rains based on Ray Bradbury, His Wife Is a Hen and more. ...But my favourite weird Soviet cartoon is The Quest for Olwen, based on Welsh legend, and not just because I watched it as a kid. At least it's not surreal horror by some sick mind, it's scary and harsh, like, Dungeon Synth: The Animation, but at the same time it's a straightforward heroic story with a happy end.

I think the reason for the intro song to be classified as Scary for TNO is because of the Very high tensions in the 1960s (Cuban Missile Crisis) Leading very close to a World War

Ironic this was made in 1963, very close to the TNO start date. This is obviously a reference and the creators of this show are time traveller who saw TNO in the future and decided to make this.

На самом деле, после просмотра песни без мультфильма, это кажется очень неестественным, и будто бы вставлено в мультфильм, но её на самом деле не было в нём.
It started with a message about how every minute matters in production, then it looked like it was going to be a message about wasting time... and then it got weird.
