Blades won because of how efficient and swift their movements are especially the anchors are fired from the hips unlike gun users who fire anchors from the arms which needs swinging momentum like Spiderman and their firearms are limited in ranges . The guns they use are fictional single slug loaded shotguns and if they fire both guns , they have slow time reloading

yeah pretty much at least until they used the new version in season 4 which uses mag fed style pistols which had better range too and has the option of having both blade and gun equipment on but for the most part blades have the advantage

Which is a thoroughly stupid piece of writing. Swords were on their way out when wheellocks became common.
