5:03 Sugar syrup can go rancid. The fact there is mold around the thread on the neck of the container means you need to wash out the container AND the pump! You should do that every time you refill! It amazes me how people in so many of these stocking/cleaning videos don't know how to clean! Also everything in these videos is either disposable or single use except for the containers they decant in. It's so weird.
I love a bit of organising, but I didn’t realise people were so ignorant to put plastic into more plastic. You can refill those beautiful containers in better ways!

@@Snowflake504 yet i used to recycle plastic till I went to the dump and literally saw the recycling trucks dumping the recyclables back in with the regular trash

@SunniCalifornia Even so...they have numbers to contact in case it goes into eye or ingested in some other way,, even when careful accidents can happen. It also just feels a bit pointless. I understand containers for sugar or coffee pods and what not but, for laundry supplies? why?
You are supposed to keep them out of reach of little kids. Always! It doesnt matter if they are in pretty containers or in their original packaging. Common sense
Also just bigger packs of everything. Lodes of tiny coffee packs or yoghurts just seem strange. There is a reason they make the big ones. It just seems like a waste.
Personally I believe these containers are nice to look at but not very good. Considering most of these containers are made of plastic that's almost defeating the purpose. Perhaps get a glass one instead so you still get the nice look and also keep the main thing here of not using PLASTIC! When using plastic your not doing anything good but making more plastic in the world. Also I recommend if you use glass containers to make sure you know what your putting in there and also having a recycling bin near by to recycle this packaging for better use :] Also Disclaimer I know that not everyone is as fortunate when it comes to getting glass containers cause they can cost a lot of money. I would recommend trying to find other alternatives
I don’t get the obsession with taking things out of containers and putting them in other containers. It looks nice but a waste since everything already comes in packaging
I use Ball jars for laundry detergent and fabric softener and have found that the lids all rust after a while and can’t be cleaned off. What the actual heck? People use them for canning food so don’t they rust then too? Smdh. I like watching these but I’m not nearly this rich or prissy. I do love organizing my things though and I just some plastic bins of various sizes from Dollar Tree and reorganized under the sinks in my bathroom and kitchen. 😍
I use jars too, my guess is it's the moisture and exposure to air? My dad has many jars of veggies that he's prepared or pickled, I bet the ingredients or them not being opened often helps. I use them for beauty organization too and dry ingredients like sugar and haven't had them rust.
Laundry detergent is alkaline, and alkaline chemicals can still corrode metals. Ball jars are meant for canning food products and are meant for a one time use only.

I think it’s considered wasteful cause of the production, packaging, and transit buying a new container costs for product came in packaging that works just fine Furthermore, certain things go bad faster if you put it in an improper container. Things like cleaning products and oils are kept in solid colored or dark glass for a reason. If things go bad before you can use it all it becomes waste.
I think it’s because you can be less wasteful just by buying a bigger amount ex: gallon handsoap refill vs 8 oz bottle. If I were to do this I would stock up at Costco and get the huge containers that have less waste than the smaller ones
I don't understand how this is wasteful? They are just putting them into different reusable containers But even if they kept them in the same containers as they come in from the store ... Wouldn't they just throw away or recycle those containers after they are finished with the product anyway? Then theyd have to buy more to replace that one... Not saving any plastic by doing that... At least with their reusable containers they have the option to go to a store to buy the product and put it directly into their container if the covid crisis doesn't prevent it first Also if you are broke like me and some months you save less and months you save more, it helps to have some of these non parishable items in bulk so that if you can't afford it this month you already have some extra from last month or if you can afford it get it now because you might not have the money to next month AND it takes up a lot of space to have a bunch of different bottles sitting around and if you are in a small space (like I am) it helps to just put it all together in a single neat space that looks nice Have a wonderful day if you made it this far 😁😊
I'm with you, though I find it weird how they don't buy the cleaning products in bag refills instead of the big hard plastic ones. They would be saving money, space and it's not so wasteful

I would never put any cleaning supplies in normal drinking or food containers. It is super dangerous, especially with children in the house.
Most people who do that put labels on them, and I'd be concerned if ANY cleaning supply was in a place where a child could easily drink it.
