      Linda I'm so glad this helped. We never know what's around the corner and we can be in such a low point and suddenly something can change on the spin of a coin and it just helps and works. Music is very therapeutic and has helped me a lot. I hope you're alright and look after yourself and good things are just around the corner 💜

      @@maggied8468 Thanks So Much. These guys men alot to me. I can't afford to go to their concerts if they ever come to the town I live in (Seymour, Indiana). I do hope that one day I will be able to meet them and tell them how much they mean to me and how their music has helped me.

      @@lindacooksey2999 Honestly I am the last person who ever thought I'd get to see them. I come from a small area and don't travel far and something often pops up that gets in the way of my hopes and dreams but I managed fortunately to see them in 2018. I still pinch myself. Its been a memory that has helped to sustain me in difficult times. A month after seeing them my partner was diagnosed with cancer ( he's recovered now thankfully) but because of the health situation we couldn't go the following year also traveling expenses extra. I hold a few artists close to my heart and Home Free are deffinatly keepers. Dimash and Loreena McKennitt are anothers. I use music to travel in my mind if that makes sense. It's good for healing, good for my soul. 💜

      I'm so happy that your partner is doing well! I just recently went through some significant health issues too and spent a lot of time listening to Home Free! They are honestly the BEST acapella group ever!

    That B was huge, love Chance's voice so much

    ADAM CHANCE. For me, he has the best 'recording voice' in Home Free, closely followed by Austin's superb-sounding and technically superior high range. I really hope Chance doesn't go solo but I think he's the most likely to succeed if he did. I love all these boys for the various things they can do though, and they're definitely greater as a group than the sum of their parts.

      If they made a movie about a country singer, the character would look like Chance. His versatility has been a great addition to the group. I loved the part where they all did vocal effects. Been a fan of these guys ever since the sing off and don't expect it to end any time soon.

      I believe Chance and Adam (Rupp) have the most experience in live performance, they've been around for decades and hardly ever crack when live. The other three, talented as they are, seem to struggle onstage. Though who knows, this could've been near the end of the show and everyone's tired.

    • @patriciamcl54

      @@stephh4495 By the time this was recorded, all the guys had at least a decade of experience under their belts. And other live recordings from other earlier shows show the band in complete control of their material from the Sing Off onwards. I think your suggestion of tiredness is probably true. The song is just too taxing for a tired voice, which really can't handle acrobatics. Tim sounds exhausted or even ill, Austin wobbles on the pitch but Rob is pretty secure.
      If you look at the date, they had probably been rehearsing for weeks for the Christmas shows and had been flogging hard to get the shows in for the holidays. Though there is also something wrong with the sound balance, which (since they receive it through earphones) would explain the mayhem of the second half.

      Actually you can hear Tim start singing while Adam is still singing the B1 so I'm pretty sure it's all him. Plus he was the bass for SCS before Home Free so he should have no problem with a B1

    • @vivekbanerjee8752
      @vivekbanerjee8752 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Chance is doing that B1. Tim wasn't helping there although I understand why you would assume that because it's pretty low.

  • @patriciamcl54

    Very ropy entrance by Tim, who sounds as if there is something wrong with his voice. This in turn unsettles Austin, who is decidedly pitchy. Only with Rob's section do we settle down. I can't help feeling that the beatboxing section isn't really suitable for the song, interrupting its progress. And there is definitely something wrong with the sound balance, though people in the comments below who attended the show thought it was great.
    This shows I think why this song is not performed live any more, despite being a fan favourite

    • @marciag7342
      @marciag7342  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i had to Google "ropy" to find out it meant "inferior". I know you are not a voice coach because you are a member of a fan group I admin and I looked at your personal FB page. You are entitled to your opinion but you are in the minority. You have torn this performance apart but maybe if you had been there you would have heard just how perfect this was. Maybe the audio of this video didn't do it justice. And you are decidedly wrong in why this song is no longer performed live - it's because it is 5 years old and they have so much more new material to perform. I and so many of us would love to be in the venue seats when this would be performed live again. BTW, have you ever heard them live? Since you live in England, I hope you get a chance to attend a show when they hopefully will be doing a European tour this year (2023).
