She has very good early game as well as decent late game. I think its mostly because other mm are kind of more solo q friendly. Its very hard for her to carry the team without some decent setup from the rest of the team. Her short range doesnt help either. And if you miss the doll you are basically free kill for the other mm since 50% of her dmg is the doll. I would say that she is a balanced hero. Has some good matchups but also very bad ones. I've found her similar to wanwan in team fights and sometimes even better because she can zone out the enemies properly. Someone like popol can really counter her early game as well as late game as long as you bait her ult.
What turns me off about her is the amount of spatial awareness she requires. Her dash moves her and the doll, both have fixed distance, she has short range and you have limited movement with her ult on (if you want to actually stay in it). She has to set up the battlefield that favors all of those things which can be a lot in a teamfight (for me, at least). Example, yes you're safe from fighters and assassins in her ult but mages will abuse that knowing you would want to stay in her ult. A wrong dash can disconnect the enemy from Muddles. She has to use her skills to shape the battlefield in her favor while other short range MMs (Moskov, irithel) can adjust to the battlefield using their skills making them mote flexible in teamfights.

Her ult could have been better, since its pretty inconsistent (some assasins can still hit you even inside it). And generally speaking, the most dangerous skills are already cc immune to begin with. Her doll is the real ult imo.

I actually want to suggest for her 2nd skill that if your basic atck range cant reach the enemy you can tap the minion button if you are in the circle it attacks the doll to attack the enemy as well. You don't need to get close to the enemy
@@kimi2935 sorry and i know but i have seen a lot of Melissa 's gameplay and some people lost their enemy with low health because they chase after them attacking with the main attack button so the enemy escape while they could have used the minion button to kill it. Its quite frustrating to watch.
Yup get close if you need double basic attack. But you can finish low enemies with attacking minions or creeps, I tend to keep small crabs alive early game to use it to harass enemies. Also a quick tip that might help if you use her: You can dash through thick walls to move ur doll and keep enemies in its range without having to get close yourself. Former Global 9 Melissa Good luck

Popol Kupa, has CC, can open map and BONK-MOOD KUPA Melissa has her ult to save her from diving, melee type heroes but once her ult is down, she's pretty much a sitting duck. She doesn't have much AOE to totally wreck havoc to the enemies. It's kind of difficult to find a situation where she's useful. This is just my opinion, please don't hate me :((
