I was in the group that made this recording, and I will tell you that the climax at 3:09 was something ethereal. This arrangement is dedicated to two incredible people who's lives were cut way too short. We played this for THEM, and were able to express something through the music that we couldn't do with words in regards to their loss.
I’ve performed the choir version of this piece before and how I’d love to play this in band! This piece is just so unbelievably heavenly and it gives me chills every times I listen to it.
Truly an honor to play this song. The rise at 3:09 sends a shiver down my spine every single time. I'm so glad I picked this out for my wind ensemble to play.
+Ramonito Roldan what do you think of this arrangement for Concert Band? :) I feel it gives a completely new dimension to the piece, though the "serene" part of it is not really there. :D
Houston Black Thank you very much :) I was aware of tremolo used to signify flutter tongue in winds, rolls in percussion etc. I have always seen that kind of tremolo (now you've told me what it is) in chimes parts but was curious when I saw it used for the saxes and clarinets. Once again, thank you for clearing that up for me

oh my 3:09
I want this score but it's not available to buy in Australia :'(
Can someone tell me the name of the chord at 1:54? It's very beautiful sounding
B flat minor I think? I could be wrong though
@@aubrygover7414 It looks like a Bb minor 7, because of the Db Major that carries over from the previous bar.
I'm inbetween whether the choral or the instrumental is better omg

I'm not quite sure what is meant by the semibreves joint by thick lines, could someone please explain what that asks of the player?
