Product Line Connectivity Strategies

About once a week or so, we get a call from a vendor essentially saying “we need some help with our connectivity strategy for the factory floor.” In this video, I discuss some of the things that we talk about in those introductory calls. In short, the answer is “it depends”. Not a good answer but it does depend on what kind of product line they have, what user applications need to connect to them, what controllers need to supervise them…etc. There are a lot of considerations as you’ll see in this video.
