Kenneth Branagh really is a great filmmaker. But I prefer his earlier work up to "Hamlet". "Henry V." and "Much ado about nothing" being my absolute favorites of his. I also like "Frankenstein" a lot, it is a beautifully crafted film and much better than it's literary source actually. I did not particularly like "Belfast" so much. It feels a bit like a new genre: the black-and-white personal drama, that does not really fire on all cylinders.... (Roma, Mank...). Still: everything Branagh does is worth watching.
Kenneth Branagh is amazing director ever and this is awesome sir
I only knew Branagh as “Wallendar” thanks for this fabulous interview.
Absolute legend right here. I saw Hamlet in theater and still watch it regularly. He’s only gotten better. Amazing work, sir!
