I feel like there is 2 Shadow Kirby at once. One is the negative representation of what Kirby is and a dark version of him, the other is just the mirror dimensions version of him. Both named Shadow Kirby, but both being very different
Being a prankster is honestly the best way to play a ‘Shadow’ version of Kirby. Not an exact opposite bizzaro, but still different enough to feel opposite. Kirby is the chill kind of playful, while Shadow Kirby is the kind of playful that gets you in the time out chair.
People say that it's the same Shadow Kirby in all appearances but we've never seen the swirly evil one(s) in a fully canon main universe game. In fact in Star Allies we see the normal colored one. So I'm inclined to think the other universes are "what if Shadow Kirby got corrupted [by Dark Mind]" scenarios.
The version of Shadow Kirby in the Kirby fighters games aren’t necessarily evil or corrupted. According to the pause screens, he’s just mischievous and thinks he’s pulling a prank. As for the appearance differences, it’s most likely just an inconsistent redesign.
@@maybenick I always liked to think that they are different characters with the one from kirby fighters actually being parallel kirby and not the mirror world one especially since he appears with one design in triple deluxe, than in star allies with the mirror world one and back with the new design in fighters 2 and KRtDD

All I’m seeing from these appearances is he starts off more or less curious, then ends with shadow Kirby being essentially a more competitive version of Kirby, being a bit rowdier but not doing anything malicious. You know, like how Daisy is to peach. I really don’t get why people see two separate Shadow Kirbies like somehow character development doesn’t exist.
