The fight that confirmed his decline. He lost his killer instinct after knocking jacobs down. He abandoned the forward onslaught with fighters after this fight as well. Body shots were over, etc.

9th round cost Jacobs this fight. He thought that he could get Golovkin’s timing down and afford to keep his hands low. Thing is, Golovkin doesn’t fight with speed, Golovkin doesn’t care if you see his punch coming. He fights with accuracy and patience, that’s why he makes it a tough fight for counterpunchers.
In short,Golovkin punches are precise.

Exactly, GGG doesn't fight with speed so Jacob wanted to time him. Slower you are, easier it is to time.
@@HulkVahkiin not necessarily. When a fighters used to countering off of faster punches, that’s exactly what they’re looking for. Throw in a slower punch and their timing gets thrown off; that’s not what they were expecting. Jacobs got too fancy, he kept his guard down and he caught a right that wobbled him, and then a jab that really made things scary. He’s lucky the round ended when it did, that stopped the Golovkin swarm; unfortunately, it was the round that cost him the fight. Keep your hands up.
@@fabianheilbron9988 Don't get me wrong, I am familiar with the tactic. I was expressing the fact that Jacob wanted to time GGG because *relatively* GGG is a slower puncher so Jacob wanted to take advantage of the fact he thought he was feeling GGG rhythm.
What I like with triple GGG is power and humility. Jacob is a dignified man of sports accepting what life's brings at the table for him. He seemed a very intelligent person by not letting his negative emotions react to his defeat. People need to learn from Jacob.

GGG isn't "one punch" powerful. He doesn't knock u out in round one or two. He's a hard, accurate, puncher who beats you slowly but always pressing. Best boxer I've ever seen outside of pacman

Jacob's has the fastest and incredibly heavy hands I've ever seen. Round 6 shows that. The fact he landed and scored some effective punches that round proves GGG is litterly a tank in that ring.
GGG one of the best chins I've seen in boxing history. That guy seems unbreakable. I know he has to be hurt by some of these punches - but it is almost like he overcomes them with sheer will. Doesn't even wobble badly from anything I've seen in all his fights. Never dropped.
No power in his punches though.

Jacob's punches didn't hurt GGG, Jacobs was just an awkward target for GGG's punches. There is absolutely no doubt who won.

Golovkin is also said to have one of the most durable chins in boxing history, having never been knocked down or otherwise stopped in a total of 393 fights, 43 as a professional and 350 as an amateur. Thats why he is the GOAT
He's a 1 division champion. That's not impressive at all. Canelo is a 4-5 division champion and going to cruiser weight. That's insane

Julian Davis no, there where 2 weighins scheduled for this fight, Jacobs declined the fight day weigh-in so he forfeited the chance to compete for the IBF belt, witch means he purposely put weight above the limit that was disputed to gain an advantage, so yes, he has no right to criticize what Chavez did
