Scalextric used to have a mobile exhibition at Brands Hatch in the UK, just up the road from their Margate HQ. As I remember it, they were selling club membership rather than sets.

yup they do. Carrera does the same in their home markets too. But here in the US there's NO money for marketing events like that.
