Best version of I'll be Around that I've heard so far. So many styles mixed in such powerful intense song. The keyboard made it so funk, and later kind of disco, followed by rock'nroll guitars... and there's more than that! The drums, the bass, the ending... It's too good. Es demasiado buena.
They said in an interview that the album producer Julian Casablancas merged two separate songs into one (with the computer initially). I suspect it's "I'll be around". That song is like many different songs in one.
well, i dont have the feeling anymore unless im listening them from the beginning until 2013… im missing their chemistry from before. this is just about how to keep it alive and squeeze more money out of it. but i hope it will come back together again as it was. wishing the bests, and being forever grateful for making my late teenagers richer by their music
I agree, it kinda sucks a bit that they’ve transitioned to this new sound. Its alright, not horrible, but I have a shit ton of nostalgia from listening to these guys in high school, skipping class with friends and getting high to avoid the angst and pain in our hearts. But theyve grown too, brooks had kids and members have left. Its a piece of history that only the OG fans will appreciate

this is one of the best performances of the growlers, just short of the first time i saw them live in like 2016. they've been one of my favorite bands for almost a decade now, can't wait to see them again one day

They haven't come out with a good album since Chinese fountain and they keep making new music but it's trash and they lost their style. Whats what I define as washed up lol
@@dabaphile I suppose out of sheer disappointment and in some cases possibly fear that this one's great band may never reach the artistic ability it had once achieved. Unfortunately as progress moves forward, people get older, voices are lost, bandmates seek new opportunity and surf rock/beach goth culture takes a hit
That would be amazing but don't forget that they left the band cause the change of style with City Club and The Growlers now seems to have another musical direction than the early days

If Matt don’t come back I don’t think the growlers will either. Him and brooks are the back bone. Matt’s guitar really makes the growlers what it is in my opinion

Hung at Heart is really great bro, also their EP Gilded Pleasure / Pychh. Then songs in "Chinese Fountain" are awesome but production is too much clinical and ruined it. Listen to accoustic version.
