Should not node 3 when generalized using pruning set/validation set become A(0) instead of B(0). Seems like mistake made from erasing the leaf nodes. Also node 11 when run through pruning set has error of 1. (x=1, z=1 in your pruning set example classifies the output label as A). Agreed that node 9 still has error 1 and hence can be replaced as leaf node.
Thank you for the video, it is helpful but I don't understand exactly what is the difference between pruning and reduced error pruning? In some tools they are considered as different parameters.
How do you calculate error for an inner node ??? It's just a path to another node it has no label on it? I think nodes should X,Y or Z in this case and the paths are just 0 or 1

The only proper video on Reduced error pruning in youtube. Thank you so much Ranji! Keep up the good work!

10:43 you have a mistake the right is A(0)
Wonderful explanation.
Best video for this topic
What was pruning set for
Thanks for the video. The video is very helpful.
Awesome video thank you!!

In REP table how the class is calculated???
It is given as part of the validation set

Okay
Sir what is the error metric. Optimistic or pessimistic. I saw your video.
10:57 Sir, how much time does this pruning have to do?
It depends upon size of your tree

@Long Dang Good answer
Thanks!
