A principios de los 80, Gavin Rossdale, nacido en Kilburn (London) junto a Sacha Puttnam, Alan Cash y David Norland fundaron el grupo de pop Midnight. Únicamente sacaron al mercado dos singles «Run with You (1987)» y «King of the Mountain (1987)» aunque el primero de ellos se convirtió en todo un himno para la juventud de la época, y en imprescindible para todos los amantes de estos años. A pesar de llegar hasta Irlanda y telonear a músicos como Big Country y Cyndi Lauper, tuvieron poco éxito tras el lanzamiento de sus dos singles. Tras un tiempo reconsiderando sus opciones musicales, Rossdale se unió a la banda The Little Dukes. They only released two singles "Run with You (1987)" and "King of the Mountain (1987)" although the first one became an anthem for the youth of the time, and a must for all the lovers of those years. Despite reaching Ireland and opening for musicians like Big Country and Cyndi Lauper, they had little success after the release of their two singles. After some time reconsidering his musical options, Rossdale joined the band The Little Dukes. However, their music did not fit Rossdale's musical tastes at the time, so the band disbanded in the fall of 1991. Rossdale joined the grunge band Bush, then known as Future Primitive, in 1992 as vocalist and rhythm guitarist after meeting guitarist Nigel Pulsford in November 1991. "Sixteen Stone", their debut album, was a huge commercial success. And after it, all of their other albums were commercial successes, propelling Bush to become one of the best-selling rock bands of the 1990s. Although the band achieved celebrity status in the United States, they had little success in the United Kingdom.
After gaining more recognition in the United States following his very public relationship and marriage to Gwen Stefani, America's sweetheart and No Doubt frontman, Gavin Rossdale embarked on a new career as an actor. He has appeared in "Constantine" (2005), "How to Rob a Bank" (2008) and "The Bling Ring" (2010). He also appeared in the 100th episode of "Hawaii Five-0" (2010) in November 2014.
