What the actual fucking FUCK!? You just put the dark knight in front of The Return of the King! Is it only bcuz Heath Ledger is dead and you feel you have to "honor" him? Don't get me wrong, I loved Heath and he was a brilliant actor.
TerrinPS I don't know what crap you're talking about. I like The return of the king much better than any batman movie. I can't understand why they put the dark knight over the return of the king. I really don't get your comment. Are you trying to change my opinion?
MrPhantom95 lube, and a dvd, with a hinge, think again, you can make love phsyically, weather its mental or not isnt a point. the point is that you enjoy lord of rings, a lot? *nudge nudge wink wink*
This is what the top 3 picks should be like: 3) The Dark Knight (2008) 2) Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005) 1) The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
the terrible love story and mediocre acting in Revenge of the Sith is the reason why I wouldn't put it that high. but overall deserved an honourable mention
Anyone who thinks any of the Star Wars prequels deserve anything besides being forgotten as quickly as possible needs to elevate their expectations and be forced to watch the Empire Strikes Back over and over again until they beg for mercy and apologize for making excuses for the prequels that have stained and tarnished a once great franchise.
Thats like saying that Around The World In 80 Days & The Greatest Show On f#cking Earth are better than TDK, Pulp Fiction, Dr. Strangelove, Taxi Driver, The Shawshank Redemption, Its A Wonderful Life etc etc. To judge things by the Oscars is hilarious.
Old boy, spirited away, memento, snatch, requiem for a dream, all of these are better movies than the incredibles. Yet they weren't even honorable mentions.
Best movies per year in my opinion 2000 - Gladiator 2001 - The Lord of the Rings:The Fellowship of the Ring 2002 - The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 2003 - The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 2004 - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban 2005 - Batman Begins 2006 - Blood Diamond 2007 - I Am Legend 2008 - The Dark Knight 2009 - District 9
2000: Almost Famous 2001-2003: Lord Of The Rings Trilogy 2004: Mean Girls 2005: Batman Begins 2006: Pan's Labyrinth 2007: No Country For Old Men 2008: The Dark Knight 2009: Inglorious Basterds
2000 Snatch 2001 Jeepers Creepers 2002 Lord Of The Rings 2 Towers 2003 The last Samurai 2004 Troy 2005 War Of The Worlds 2006 The Departed 2007 TMNT 2008 The Dark Knight 2009 Inglorious Bastards
2000: Gladiator 2001: Mulholland Drive 2002: Road to Perdition 2003: Return of the King 2004: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 2005: A Bittersweet Life 2006: The Departed 2007: No Country for Old Men 2008: The Dark Knight 2009: Inglorious Basterds
Memento anyone? It's like one of my favorite movies ever. I mean seriously not even a honorable mention. It is way better than like half the movies on the list.
I know! Fucking Watchmojo that overrates the most overrated Christopher Nolan films like The Dark Knight and Inception. But never recognize his best and underrated film
Dark knight deserved its place on this list. Only reason people call it overrated is because people love it. Fucking "Hipsters" The movie was fucking brilliant.
I really don't get how the Incredibles made it on here. IMO, it's one of Pixar's most lackluster films of the decade. I think Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, WALL-E, and UP were all considerably better.
Watchmojo logic Top 10 movies of the 90s 1: pulp fiction Top 10 movies of the 2000s no inglorious bastards Tarantino ranking 2:pulp fiction 1:inglorious bastards Ok
1- LOTR (All movies) 2- Kill Bill 3- Batman The Dark Knight 4- Gladiator 5- City of God 6- Inception 7- Requiem for a dream 8- Inglourious Basterds 9- Pan's Labyrinth 10- Into the Wild
My List: 10. Saw (2004) - James Wan 9. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) - Gore Verbinski 8. Pan's Labyrinth (2006) - Guillermo del Toro 7. Gladiator (2000) - Ridley Scott 6. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) - Alfonso Cuarón 5. Inglorious Basterds (2009) - Quentin Tarantino 4. Batman Begins (2005) - Christopher Nolan 3. No Country for Old Men (2007) - The Coen Brothers 2. The Dark Knight (2008) - Christopher Nolan 1. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) - Peter Jackson HM: Avatar (2009) - James Cameron There Will Be Blood (2007) - Paul Thomas Anderson The Incredibles (2004) - Brad Bird Spider-Man 2 (2004) - Sam Raimi The Descent (2005) - Neil Marshall Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) - Quentin Tarantino Memento (2000) - Christopher Nolan The Departed (2006) - Martin Scorsese Iron Man (2008) - Jon Favreau
Chris O'Connor but it was a great retelling of the story. The movie pushed the boundaries of cinema and the next will do the same. All movies are copies of some form of media, no idea is truly original.
chris71388 Visually it was stunning but the story was awful, the acting was awful, nearly everything was awful. When I watched Gravity. Avatar sprang to mind.
Peek At Chu OSCARS do mean shit. OSCARS represent the overall quality of a movie and are only receive by movies if they are of exceptional quality. And if the fact that it won all of its nominated OSCAR awards, it is also tying with 2 other films as with the return of the king being the most heavily awarded film of all time.
Altair Ibn-La'Ahaad the great characters and the script is why I consider is one of the best movies of the last decade. It's well known that this movie wasn't intended to be historically accurate.
10. The prestige 9. Memento 8. Inglorious basterds 7. Spider-man 2 6. Snatch 5. Lord of the rings trilogy 4. The Departed 3. No country for old men 2. The Dark knight 1. There will be blood
As much as I love the Dark Knight it doesn't deserve to be number 1. I mean it definitely deserves to be top 5 material but better than The Departed, Lord of the Rings? I don't think so.
I believe so. In my opinion, I really think The Departed is strongly overrated. Sure, it boasts great performances, though it did feature someone also really overrated in my opinion (Jack Nicholson), but in my opinion none of them stands up to The Dark Knight, and none of their performances could surpass Heath Ledger's Joker. Do note, however, I've never liked comic books. Movies? I love them. The Dark Knight was amazing as a movie. The Departed was good. I tried to like it, but it was just eh. I've seen too many movies that are better than it. Oh and Lord of the Rings? I think it deserves at most third place. Again, overrated. Extremely entertaining, but it wasn't the best movie series of all time. I'm sure what I said about LOTR will spawn some hardcore fanboys and I will most def be shittalked about it, but I'll stand with it.
You might be right, but remember the criteria they set in the beginning box office, Iconic status, critical acclaim etc. maybe while judging the movies The Dark Knight got the best results of all criteria combined. Again not saying it deserves the top spot but maybe while judging the movies by the criteria that they set The Dark Knight just did better.
Only reason Avatar is on here is cause it's the highest selling movie in history, but just because something is popular doesn't mean it's good. Ex. Justin Bieber, Twilight, etc.
WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTT? Avatar shouldn't be anywhere near this list. NO V FOR VENDETTA??? INCEPTION??? WALL-E? DISTRICT 9?? snatch, gran torino, requiem for a dream, shutter island, momento, pianist, prestige, lives of others, downfall, sin city, into the wild, donnie darko, slumdog millionaire, moon, catch me if you can, the wrestler, the figher, children of men, hot fuzz, benjermin button, 300, training day american phycho, the others... but AVATAR GETS AN HONORABLE MENTION?
bless. Also Inglorious Basterds, man. And Chanwook's Vengeance Trilogy. Avatar don't go there - all it has is a cute special effect that you can only enjoy at the movies.
2000: gladiator 2001: Lord of the rings fellowship of the ring 2002: the pianist 2003: Lord of the rings return of the King 2004: eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind 2005: brokeback mountain 2006: the departed 2007: there will be blood 2008: the dark Knight 2009: the hurt locker
It's also a propagandist film which shows muslims as evil and americans as hero even though they were the ones invading based on a lie. even watchmojo ended that hurt locker video with someone saying a prayer and boom and in these types of movies you will barely see good religious muslims and all of them are portrayed as potential terrorists.
My top ten and i think some people will agree with me 10. Snatch 9. Traffic 8. Mystic River 7. Training Day 6. Into The Wild 5. Lord Of The Rings Triology 4. Catch Me If You Can 3. No Country For Old Men 2. Wall-E 1. The Dark Knight
Very good list but not so sure about Wall-E. It is a good children's film and looks amazing but to say it is above no country for old men is a little bit of a stretch. Films that could make it onto your list and if you have have not seen them make it your job to. These are very good films. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, A Prophet, Donnie Darko, Amores perros, Memento, The Prestige, The Lives of Others, Gladiator, City of God, We Own the Night,
the reason i put Wall-E over NCFOM is because i don't really watch animated movies i think o inly watched 3-4 in my entire life but Wall-E just marked my life and it's just amazing for me by any means. From your list i only watched The Prestige, Gladiator and Memento. I heard that Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is trash
1. There Will Be Blood (2007) 2. No Country For Old Men (2007) 3. Ratatouille (2007) 4. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (2001-2003) 5. Oldboy (2003) 6. The Prestige (2006) 7. Pan’s Labyrinth (2006) 8. Zodiac (2007) 9. Spirited Away (2001) 10. Inglourious Basterds (2009) Honorable Mentions: Eternal Sunshine (2004), Memento (2000), Wall•E (2008), The Incredibles (2004), Unbreakable (2000), The Dark Knight (2008), Kill Bill (2004), Mother (2009), Memories of Murder (2003), Children of Men (2006), Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009)
Why did avatar even get an honorable mention, the effects were amazing and groundbreaking, but without that the plot and character development were terrible
To be honest it`s the same problem with gravity. The visuals make you go HOLY SHIT but the plot and characters were put purely so it can be called a 'movie', and not some special effects reel.
Ishmael Gaynor lies and propaganda! Nemo will always be better. (I do have to mention that I grew up watching Nemo and so has a nostalgic quality to it for me)
the incredibles was voted as pixars best film and it deserves it's spot on this list Its a one of a kind type of film but Finding nemo was good it's just not better than the incredibles
1-The Dark Knight 2-The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 3-Gladiator 4-Inglorious Bastards 5-The Departed 6-Memento 7-Up 8-Minority Report 9-Avatar 10-The Bourne Identity
I can’t touch too much on your list but one film I absolutely adore which was missing on Watchmojo’s list was Inglorious Basterds, love it to bits and glad to see you put it on yours!
***** Eh, nope. The Return of the King has made about 1,119 billion while The Dark Knight cashed in about 1,004 billion. Also (although I have no numbers here) the fanbase for The Lord of The Rings is easily as large as The Dark Knight's fanbase.
Stope trivialising the importance of the Dark Knight just because you're a LOTR fan, both great films however the Dark Knight is superior in many more senses by which you would classify a film good i.e. story, complex themes/characters, depth, motifs, entertainment value, performances etc.
My top 10: 1 the Dark Knight 2008 2 Pirates of the Caribbean 2003 3 Casino Royale 2006 4 The Departed 2006 5 Gladiator 2000 6 Finding Nemo 2003 7 Catch me if you can 2002 8 Mission Impossible III 2006 9 Batman Begins 2005 10 Revenge of the sith 2005
I don't know, it's hard to judge the legacy of a film that recently has been released. Citizen Kane wasn't very popular at it's release and is now a cinematic land mark. In 20 years we don't know what people will think is the best movie. That's just my opinion though
I'd argue that the 80s is full of overrated cheese and before their time special effects--at least many of the ones that people put on lists. I'd take LotR, There Will Be Blood, and NCfOM before most 80s movies.
1. No Country For Old Men 2. Requiem For A Dream 3. The Lord of the Rings The Return of the King 4. Inglourious Basterds 5. Zodiac 6. Children of Men 7. 28 Days Later 8. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 9. Memento 10. The Secret In Their Eyes Honorable Mentions: The Descent, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, American Psycho, There Will Be Blood, City of God, Wall-E, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and The Wrestler
+Brannon H Great list, though I haven't seen Zodiac. I also think There Will Be Blood is overrated, but it's definitely a well made and acted film. I'd switch Departed and LotR. :)
Best of each year: 2000: Gladiator (Rydley Scott) 2001: Mulholland Dr. (David Lynch) 2002: Road to Perdition (Sam Mendes) 2003: The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (Peter Jackson) 2004: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Michel Gondry) 2005: A Bittersweet Life (Kim-Jee Woon) 2006: The Departed (Martin Scorsese) 2007: No Country for Old Men (The Coen Brothers) 2008: The Dark Knight (Cristopher Nolan) 2009: Inglorious Basterds (Quentin Tarantino)
I agree 2000 in the mood for love 2001 spirited away 2002 city of god 2003 Dogville 2004 Saw 2005 the aviator 2006 the departed 2007 there will be blood 2008 the dark knight 2009 mother 2010 the social network
44excalibur The point is that it took basic comic book foundation and ran with it. If the whole movie was based entirely off of the comic books and nothing else, the movie would have most likely been crap. All the differences you stated were added as nice plot devices or symbols, making the whole movie, imo, better.
It's not about the money or award. The transformers movies made money. But I do agree; RotK is, in my opinion, the single greatest movie ever to have been made.
My Top 10 1. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 2. Punch-Drunk Love 3. Children of Men 4. Lost In Translation 5. There Will Be Blood 6. The Dark Knight 7. The Departed 8. Inglourious Basterds 9. Finding Nemo 10. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Can you tell me what you liked so much about punch drunk love? I've seen it, I liked it and I thought I understood it but I'm not as charmed as other people are.. Just curious!!
+Felix ten Haaf the isolation and rage felt by Barry. I relate to that so much, and it just astonished me how accurate the film was. Plus, the cinematography is absolutely gorgeous, and it has one of my favorite film scenes of all time-"I Have So Much Strength In Me, You Can't Even Imagine."
Moviemaster21 Honestly man Sandler is a joke of an actor and he remains it in the film. You seem to have good film sense otherwise because Whiplash is some quality shit.
I think all Pixar movies are great in every way, but I think "The Incredibles" was on the list was for the fact it was the first Pixar film to feature a full world/cast of human characters, so that was put on by the team to push their technology further.
The Dark Knight was a good movie, but i think's it's a little bit overrated, maybe just to honour Heath Ledger who died so young. And to be honest: The Return of the King should be number one. In my opinion, it's the greatest movie ever made. Great story, music, acting, costumes, pictures...just everything was great. And i think Gladiator should be higher on the list.
ebkdan Long: yes. Boring: No. Do you think Peter Jackson should have made 1 two hour long movie out of 3 books, each one having many hundreds of pages? Of course they had to be long, but why not watching something great for 3 hours instead of one? Also, you can say they were boring, it's your opinion, but there are many, many , many more people who found the movies exciting. So no, i didn't forget to mention boring as a facet of the trilogy.
I'd replace Hurt Locker with District 9 personally. That was a well executed film that took themes like segregation and put a very new twist on it. Also, it's the only movie I've seen where the humans are beating the aliens and not the aliens beating humans.
ShyanTheLegend I think your list is a lot stronger than Watchmojo's, it definitely is. As for a list of my own, I don't have one lying around and I wouldn't be doing it justice if I just quickly compiled one in a TH-cam comment. Though it would probably contain more non-American and a bit of 2D animation, since I am a huge fan of that medium, and I'm taking an education as an animator.
You're entitled to your opinion, but "13 year olds"? A lot of the humor is geared to an older audience, it was definitely a movie for everyone to enjoy and worthy to be on the list.
Hey everyone, now here’s my top 10 favorite/best films of 2000’s.... 1. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) ⭐️ - Michel Gondry 2. Y Tu Mamá También “And Your Mother Too” (2001) - Alfonso Cuarón 3. Babel (2006) - Alejandro G. Iñárritu 4. The Dark Knight (2008) - Christopher Nolan 5. WALL-E (2008) - Andrew Stanton 6. Casino Royale {007} (2006) - Martin Campbell 7. Spider-Man 2 (2004) - Sam Raimi 8. Spirited Away (2001) - Hayao Miyazaki 9. Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2 (2003-2004) - Quentin Tarantino 10. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) - Alfonso Cuarón Honorable Mentions: - Up (2009) - Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) - Inglorious Basterds (2009) - The Incredibles (2004) - There Will Be Blood (2007) - No Country for Old Men (2007) - Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) - Children of Men (2006) - The Bourne Trilogy (2002-2007) - The 40 Year-Old Virgin (2005) That’s all there is and chao...
How dare you put "The Hurt Locker" on this list and at #5, that has to be one of the most overrated films ever, seriously, 2009 had some great Best Picture nominees and that movie had so much competition.
The Lord of the Rings can not be put into the list as a whole. The Batman movies are different story lines and different villains where as LOFTR takes three books and movies to tell the whole story. you can't include them and base them off of box office success because you can't combine them against one batman movie
"Where's this movie?" "Where's that movie?" Why don't y'all make your own freaken Top 10's? There were too many great movies from this decade to make it in one video anyway.
Daniel Guzman The problem is, though, that there is no definitive greatest list. My top two are No Country for Old Men and Return of the King(Also my top two all time), but if someone else doesn't even have them on their top ten this decade, they're not wrong. There's no definitive greatest list of all time, AFI, BFI, IMDB don't have them. And for that matter, there isn't a definitive list of the decade either.
Yeh true but there is one movie that really at least deserved an honorable mention Saw Because of the fact that it was different and changed horror perspective in a way and began the 2000s serial killer jigsaw for the kids in this age like Freddy and Jason and so on and so forth back then and don’t forget one of the greatest twist in horror movie history
The whole thing about The Incredibles is that it's almost like an adult noir film, loads of mature themes, that's why it's a good film. Nemo is alright, not the best.
Hariz Hafi Actually, without Toy Story there would be no Pixar period. The Incredibles did nothing to change animation, those were movies like Snow White, or Toy Story or Finding Nemo. The Incredibles was an action pack movie that pushed maturity levels in cartoon movies to a high...it was good, but Up once again had more meaning and no Finding Nemo did not have a terrible story....you may think that but others don't
Hariz Hafi Funny how you say that finding Nemo has the exact same story line as a y other non animated movies.....yet you say shot's from the incredibles hasn't been used in any ANIMATED movies. Obviously you don't mention non animated because it has the same or a similar plot line to any other superhero movie or any other non animated movie. Also Finding Nemos story line is not used in a lot non animated movies see now you are just being a hypocrite.....it is more likely to see a movie about superheros who save the world and live happily ever after, than to see a boy who's siblings and mother have died than to be taken away from his dad, you obviously have HORRIBLE tastes in movies if you believe that a story line so rare can be a rubbish movie
It's silly for people in the comments to be angry at the picks here. There is NO WAY that any list would satisfy everyone. However, I think that doing a top 10 of 2000 is incredible difficult, thus you miss several movies that deserve a mention such as: Memento, Donnie Darko, The Prestige, Red Dragon, Juno, American Psycho, Saw etc.
they have plenty of list that touch on different subjects so many of movies that may not appear here get an appearance elsewhere more relative to their subject
I agree we all have different tastes and preferences. It is almost impossible to reach a consensus on what the top movies of a specific decade or any top lists for that matter. I think it is interesting to read comments calling individuals idiots for not putting this or that movie on this list.
Pan's Labyrinth deserve soooo much more than just an honorable mention. Overall, I think there's way too many Hollywood productions included in these lists. There are amazing movies made from all over the world.
Cameron Morr Which weird thing? The creature with eyeballs in its hands? Why would you want an explanation for that? Next you want an explanation why the cat in Alice in Wonderland can talk, don't be silly, it's a fantasy world
Worst Top 10 Movies list! 3 reasons: -Loved The Incredibles, but it was definitely not the best animated movie of the 2000s. Up, Wall.E and Finding Nemo! Loved Monsters, Inc. -A lot of great foreign films!!! Oldboy, City of God, Amelie, Spirited Away, Downfall to name a few. -And one of my favorite movie ever: Memento!!!
-The Incredibles was basically a representation for all the Pixar movies of the decade. Like Return of the King for the LOTR trilogy. You can't really go wrong with whichever you pick.

What the actual fucking FUCK!? You just put the dark knight in front of The Return of the King! Is it only bcuz Heath Ledger is dead and you feel you have to "honor" him? Don't get me wrong, I loved Heath and he was a brilliant actor.
...but hurt lord of the rings fan much?
TerrinPS I don't know what crap you're talking about. I like The return of the king much better than any batman movie. I can't understand why they put the dark knight over the return of the king. I really don't get your comment. Are you trying to change my opinion?

Inglourious Basterds is missing
This is what the top 3 picks should be like:
3) The Dark Knight (2008)
2) Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005)
1) The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
the terrible love story and mediocre acting in Revenge of the Sith is the reason why I wouldn't put it that high. but overall deserved an honourable mention
At the very least.
Revenge of the Sith was acceptable in my opinion. But I understand the hate loool
why does everybody love "empire strikes back"?
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King Oscars: 11
The Dark Knight Oscars:2
That speaks for itself.
No it really doesn't the oscars are extremely bias and terrible at making decisions but I agree return of the king is No. 1
I understand that The Dark Knight deserves to be on many top 10 lists and its a great movie...but calling it the best movie of a decade is a bit much.
Saying its a great movie is bit much in my eyes.

It was either write Pocahontas or dances with wolves, I'm pretty lazy, not as lazy as James Cameron though.
Chris O'Connor
but it was a great retelling of the story.

Altair Ibn-La'Ahaad Point being?
You do realise a movie does not have to be historically actuate to be good.
Altair Ibn-La'Ahaad Kinda the point of it. It's a tarantino film. When has he ever been level headed and accurate?
Altair Ibn-La'Ahaad the great characters and the script is why I consider is one of the best movies of the last decade. It's well known that this movie wasn't intended to be historically accurate.

As much as I love the Dark Knight it doesn't deserve to be number 1. I mean it definitely deserves to be top 5 material but better than The Departed, Lord of the Rings? I don't think so.
Your right Levi
It should be number one Lotr should be number 5
Meh. Heath Ledger was fabulous in the role but I'd much prefer Ned Kelly as number 1. ( Heath also was in that )
I believe so.
WALL-E? There is no way in hell that The Hurt Locker is better than No Country for Old Men, Gladiator and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Why.... Why is The Incredible's on this list....

Why did avatar even get an honorable mention, the effects were amazing and groundbreaking, but without that the plot and character development were terrible
thats the reason, only effects were good, and Numero uno should be'\ There will be blood\
That they mention it next to Pan's Labyrinth is just insulting.
Box office sales was considered in the making of the list, so by default it has to be mentioned
To be honest it`s the same problem with gravity.
The visuals make you go HOLY SHIT but the plot and characters were put purely so it can be called a 'movie', and not some special effects reel.
So true, I haven't actually seen gravity yet but if you're comparing it to avatar, its probably not worth my time to watch
Finding Nemo in Honorable Mentions and The Incredibles in the top 10 ??? Yes, you are really crazy guys...

9 Batman Begins 2005
10 Revenge of the sith 2005

George Moschos thank you. What would your top 10 be?
Shit list grow up
No disrespect to any of these movies, but this list kinda proves that the golden age for films was in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
You are so wrong my friend.
90s, 00s and 70s beats 80s anytime

8. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
9. Memento
10. The Secret In Their Eyes
Honorable Mentions: The Descent, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, American Psycho, There Will Be Blood, City of God, Wall-E, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and The Wrestler

There will be Blood was better than No Country.
Best list so far, TDK deserved to be number one, its one of the best movies of all time so stop whining that its overrated. It isn't.
44excalibur The point is that it took basic comic book foundation and ran with it. If the whole movie was based entirely off of the comic books and nothing else, the movie would have most likely been crap. All the differences you stated were added as nice plot devices or symbols, making the whole movie, imo, better.
Excuse me but memento is amazing, where is it?
Nahum Gale MEMENTO masterpiece of materpieces!!!

Nahum Gale Layer Cake is also better than Casino Royale.
City of God ?

Memento is better
@@nickgenatossio2779 memento is his finest, i agree. But the dark knight shows a bigger picture, a society and that is why it has a larger connect.
How the hell did Dark Knight beat LOTR? Lotr made more money and had more oscars. It's also a better movie by far.
It's not about the money or award. The transformers movies made money. But I do agree; RotK is, in my opinion, the single greatest movie ever to have been made.
Its not about Money it's about sending a message.

+Moviemaster21 Punch-Drunk-Love sucks man.
+Cole Walker lolno. it's one of the all time greatest films. 6/5.
Moviemaster21 Honestly man Sandler is a joke of an actor and he remains it in the film. You seem to have good film sense otherwise because Whiplash is some quality shit.
Finding Nemo should've replaced The Incredibles
Finding nemo was good, and a classic, but i think the incredibles had more to it
I think all Pixar movies are great in every way, but I think "The Incredibles" was on the list was for the fact it was the first Pixar film to feature a full world/cast of human characters, so that was put on by the team to push their technology further.

There will be blood is the best in my opinion
I would also give mention to Blood Diamond, Training Day, Gangs of New York, Mystic River and District 9
so would i
I'd replace Hurt Locker with District 9 personally. That was a well executed film that took themes like segregation and put a very new twist on it. Also, it's the only movie I've seen where the humans are beating the aliens and not the aliens beating humans.
Dude, I want District 10!
Same & Also Give Mean Girls A Mention
A Beautiful mind??? And V for Vendetta?? Those could have at least been mentioned.

Spirited Away is not here, but The Incredibles is? I guess it fits with the 13 year old audience, but still, this is an abomination of a list.
***** My hat is a pineapple. I want the world to know.
You're entitled to your opinion, but "13 year olds"? A lot of the humor is geared to an older audience, it was definitely a movie for everyone to enjoy and worthy to be on the list.
Phillip Ennis I understand the movie wasn't that bad. But it's still not good enough to be considered Top 10 of the decade.

How dare you put "The Hurt Locker" on this list and at #5, that has to be one of the most overrated films ever, seriously, 2009 had some great Best Picture nominees and that movie had so much competition.
There are plenty of movies that deserve this place or that place, just be glad it your favorite movie was included in the list.
All of these top Children of Men?

Some of it.
Most of them do. Children of Men is decent. LotR and Avatar are awful though.
Alexandre Apraxine Shit in the passed couple years maybe. I saw it when it came out and no one I knew knew shit about it.
hahaha, I dont think anyone would say that the Dark Knight was better than the Lord of the Rings...c'mon watch mojo....I'd put in it the top 3 though
The Lord of the Rings can not be put into the list as a whole. The Batman movies are different story lines and different villains where as LOFTR takes three books and movies to tell the whole story. you can't include them and base them off of box office success because you can't combine them against one batman movie
Actually the Dark Knight is better than the Lord of the Rings.
Joel Mebrahtu
+Joel Mebrahtu no its not better than LOTR
The dark knight has a higher rating in imdb.

Fuck yeah
That’s not true, we’re making a list of the greatest movies of the 2000s, not just a list of great movies in the 2000s
Where's my movie ?
Glad AVATAR didn't make the list. I find it very highly overrated.
Same, and it just drags on most of the time

Monsters Inc. was far better than The Incredibles and Finding Nemo.
The whole thing about The Incredibles is that it's almost like an adult noir film, loads of mature themes, that's why it's a good film. Nemo is alright, not the best.

The Incredibles made the list........but finding Nemo got an honorable mention and Up wasn't even mentioned? No, just no
Hariz Hafi How is finding nemo overrated and Up has so much more meaning then Incredibles
Hariz Hafi And you're entitled to it
+Nicole Priedkalns Why was Finding Nemo mentioned even? The Incredibles is awesome.
