I lost my father 10 yrs ago it was very hard to deal with at the time I thought it would get better but I think about him every day and now my mom is gone. It make s me look back at all the time I didn’t spend with them & now will never be able to. The world is so much more dull without them around. If your parents are alive just spend more meaningful time with them, take them on vacations with you, ask them if they need anything or want anything from you. This song is gut wrenching for me, I have this song in my truck in several languages and they are all beautiful and bring tears to my eyes every time. Played this at my dads funeral yesterday,totally heart broken,my father fought a horrible two year cancer battle and suffered a heart attack during his battle,now finally he is at peace and away from all the pain and now lives forever within my heart,this song has always hit me hard but now will be extra special to me.

My father is dying right now, I'm fortunate enough to have been able to tell him how much I love him, and I can go see him, but I'm scared to fucking death of the day I'll go there and he will be dead. I'm a realist, that is what will happen. Anyway, this song is especially poignant to me, obviously. I love it.

I have always loved this song since the day I first heard it. Means so much more now because my father is battling stage 4 lung cancer. As I sit and listen to this I finally hear the words for the first time. Don't know how much more time I have with you dad, but I want you to know how much you mean to me and that I love you.
My father has not so many more days left, kidneys are failing, two aneurysms, one of them has tentacles attached to all of his organs. I love him so fucking much, I intend to spend as much time with him as I am able to. I wish I had spent far more time with him in the past, and it was my stupidity that I didn't, out partying, fucking, etc. instead of spending time with and building memories with my father, I wish I had at least found a balance between everything, but I didn't. These last couple years of his life at least I finally figured out what is most important and I'm there as much as I can be.
They missed the aneurysm in his brain stem, and he died last month. I am so blown away, I can now only say I had the best father I could ever have had, I swear I would rather have had him than any multi billionare, I don't fucking care about that shit, my father and my mother are the best ever, and when there were fuckups, the shit is on me, not them. That's the truth.
