Omg YAY NCT is my ult group and 127 is my favourite unit! Their music is immaculate and sooo unique and they always top themselves, one of the best dancers in the industry as well, they always go hard!!! As you'll keep watching you'll see how amazing their discography is and their growth, Cherrybomb is iconic and that dance break is iconic as well! Their rapline duo Mark and Taeyong aka Markyong is iconic and their vocalists are some of the best, also NCT has the best bridges I don't make the rules.
All the units are amazing I can't wait till you check out Dream and WayV after you finished with 127, their concept can be bit confusing but basically currently they have 23 members and their concept is they'll keep expanding and adding to units or creating new units, they also have NCT U(united) I highly recommend you check it basically anyone from the 23 members can join this unit if they fit the song it can be 2 members or 7 or more or less depends and all the tracks in NCT U are top tier.

sobangcha during their live tour is just 🔥. it was the live party. and the choreo might seems simple but the members chose the choreo as the most tiring one.

Yeah, one of my favourites of the night, the crowd did really well with the timings of ‘firetruck’ and ‘sobangcha’ as well, amazing atmosphere!

NCT's concept is based on dreams and dreaming. So that is what I think you see being depicted in the "Fire Truck" MV --- It all has to do with a dream/fairytale. I kind of see it like Wendy from Peter Pan. The NCT members are kind of like Peter who never want to grow up and always want to stay young, and they are always around to protect Wendy.
The girl in the MV is "Wendy". You see her as she grows up and goes through life and the NCT members are like guardian angels protecting her from all the "fires" (bad things) in her life. When you see them spray the water this is during a moment in "Wendy's" life where something bad or unpleasant is happening and the NCT members are trying to cleanse and fix the situation. The squirt guns represent how they are fixing a small thing -- Wendy is building her castle out of sand, i.e. an unrealistic dream without a solid foundation. As she gets older, it becomes fire hoses because more power is needed to solve bigger problems that take greater force to fix.
But like Wendy, the girl realizes she has no choice but to grow up and go through those adult milestones. In the end, you see her as an old woman and the girl you now see in the yard is "Wendy's" granddaughter. As controllers of dreams, NCT helps to change the narrative in "Wendy's" and her family's lives.
Sobangcha is the Korean word for fire truck.
"Fire Truck" came out in July 2016 and it is NCT-127's debut -- when they debuted they only had 7 members. The members of NCT who were in the"Fire Truck" MV are Taeyong, Mark and Jaehyun (who all also debuted as part of NCT-U with "The 7th Sense" in April 2016), along with new additions Taeil, Yuta, Winwin and Haechan. WinWin is trained in traditional Chinese dance, so he was the one you saw do the flip in "Fire Truck's" routine.
NCT-127's "Limitless" isn't about drugs, it's about dreams. Everything NCT does is connected to their concept which is all centered around dreams, dreaming or being in a dream state and it is also thought to be connected to EXO and SuperM's storyline. All of NCT's MVs are based on that dream concept.
I think the feeling you are supposed to get from the performance MV is the feeling of being trapped in a dream and being in that foggy reality, in an in between state, when you are half in and half out of a dream. All of what you see happening is happening within a dream.
What you just watched was the rough version and the performance version of "Limitless," so you heard the song in Korean. As you saw, the rough version is more of a documentary/behind the scenes "rough" cut MV and the performance version focuses on the choreography. But if you watch the regular MV, which has more of a storyline, you will hear the song in Japanese. "Limitless" is one of NCT-127's Japanese songs. The vocal lineup and choreography is a little different in the Japanese version, because, for one, it features NCT-127's Japanese member Yuta slightly more prominently. (But Yuta is still doesn't have enough lines even in the Japanese version.)
Fun fact: "Limitless" came out in January 2017 and it's Johnny's official debut in NCT and Doyoung's debut as a member of NCT-127 (Doyoung first debuted in "The 7th Sense" as a member of NCT-U, but he was not part of NCT-127's debut).
So now NCT-127 has 9 members at this point.
Also, the term for what Taeyong does with his voice in "Limitless" is called a vocal fry. It is an actual singing technique. There is no computerization of his voice. A vocal fry uses the lowest register of the voice to vibrate the vocal cords while speaking or singing. Taeyong has a full range when it comes to singing and rapping and it's one of the reasons why he gets so many lines in NCT and SuperM songs because they can do so much with his voice.
"Cherry Bomb" is the title track on NCT-127's third mini album which came out in June 2017. At this point there are 9 members in NCT-127 -- Taeyong, Taeil, Johnny, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, WinWin, Mark and Haechan.
NCT-127 is NCT's second sub-unit which began in July 2016. NCT-127 currently has 9 or 10 members. This group is more of a fixed unit so the members don't change quite as much. The 127 in this unit's name stands for the longitude coordinates of Seoul, South Korea, on a map of the world. So its 127's job to represent Seoul -- the birthplace of Kpop -- around the world.
Here is some information about how NCT works. I hope this might make it a little easier to understand. NCT is different than any other Kpop group in the industry.
NCT (which stands for Neo Culture Technology) currently has 23 members. And the group right now as a whole has 4 sub-units. The way NCT works is it's a group with an infinite number of members. (There are an unknown number of trainees who are still waiting to debut who could potentially become members of NCT.) As SM Entertainment's male trainees graduate from the training program and SM decides they are ready to debut, they become a member of NCT and they debut as part of one of NCT's sub-units. (They just added 2 new members -- Sunchan and Shotaro -- at the end of 2020, who are expected to eventually become members of a new sub-unit.)
NCT is a group that is constantly changing and rearranging its members and sound and we never know quite what to expect from them. With an infinite number of members and a concept that allows the members to rotate between sub-units, changing, adding and subtracting members depending on the concept and style of the song, you should never expect the same thing from them. You are better off always expecting something new, that somehow, also ends up sounding very much like NCT. LOL
NCT is a very international group. The members as a whole currently represent 9 different countries and they speak 8 different languages. For example, there are 10 native Korean members (Taeyong, Doyoung, Taeil, Haechan, Jaehyun, Jeno, Jaemin, Jisung, Jungwoo and SungChan), Mark is Korean-Canadian, Johnny is Korean-American, Yuta and Shotaro are Japanese, Ten is Thai, Lucas is Chinese-Thai from Hong Kong, YangYang is Taiwanese but he grew up in Germany, Hendery is Chinese from Macau (China) and 5 mainland Chinese members (WinWin, Kun, Xiaojun, Renjun and Chenle).
NCT is SM's attempt at taking over the music industry around the world. SM's goal is to eventually have NCT sub-units representing every major city in every country in the world. Some day they hope to, for example, take several Japanese members and create a Japanese sub-unit, or put together members from Thailand and create a Thai sub-unit, etc. It has always been SM's plan to have world domination. And to that point, right now NCT-127 is the group that SM is using to try and get their foothold in the U.S. music market with songs like "Regular" and "Highway to Heaven" and collaborations with American artists such as Jason Derulo, as well as a U.S. concert tour and promotional tours with the American media, etc.
So, this year is NCT's 6th anniversary, but debut dates are different for any number of members because it all depends on when they were added to the group. And many of the members of NCT actually became recognized by fans even before debut because they were part of SM's pre-debut group project called SMRookies, so SM did activities with several of the members before they debuted.
Taeyong (the leader of NCT and a member of NCT-U and NCT-127), Mark (a member of all of NCT's first 3 sub-units -- NCT-U, NCT-127 and NCT-Dream) and Ten and Lucas (members of NCT-U and WayV) are also members of the very first Kpop supergroup, SuperM, which is an SM group consisting of members from EXO, SHINee, NCT and WayV.
And just so you know, Shotaro was the dancer in NCT-U's "ConNEXTion" MV, but the singers of the song were Haechan, Doyoung and Mark. That is why it was a Station: NCT Lab video, because it was a special performance video.

All of this is pretty correct except for when you said Taeil was a new addition, he'd originally debuted in NCT U's "Without You" that came out on the same day as "The 7th Sense"

Don't try to dance like Taeyong! The way he dances is dangerous. Ty has hypermobility, so he can dance in ways most people can't, and whether it's dangerous for him is still debatable. He acknowledges this himself and doesn't want people copying him for that reason

I think I'm the ONLY nctzen that doesnt hate any of the hairstyles or fashion... the only hairstyle I didnt like was Mark in MFAL & thats cos it was fried & Hyuck in Limitless era but he had hats on so you couldnt see it.
nct (mostly 127 but dream too) have a futuristic but 90's theme in a lot of mvs, their music also reflects this sometimes, with a heavy 90's US hiphop & r&b flair
so like you know ateez's pirate dreamscape, its like that but futuristic/90's dreamscape

NCT is amazing and Taeyong is a genius 👑🌹 nct is better 10000x than bts :)))) bts just only a B level idol in Kpop with their real talent. when they had exo adward at mama 2018, this time with this big fame, they begin promoted in Us, using under fans of exo to promote, lightstick in concert,... crazy fans of course protect them, this is the facts and everyone should know and support true artist with true talents. Kpop fan in Us think all Asian Kpop artist named Bts 🤣🤣 really funny!!

RedSun needs to consider the time period in which many of the early MVs were made, this was 6-7 years ago, it was still 3rd Gen. SM was a huge company, but the era of really major MVs with crazy effects hadn't come yet. Even bigger groups had MVs with similar level of budget and production like EXO etc. Also...not y'all watching Limitless Performance Ver...🥴
