When I first heard this song it made me think of having a faith in God..In these times is not easy to be a believer or to talk about God.I'm not someone who will force my worldview on people but am not ashamed of having a faith either.I still have a lot of questions so I don't talk that much about it. What I have noticed is that people are happy to talk about spirituality but they're much more reluctant to talk about religion, especially christianity. It's a shame that people can't be more tolerant of other peoples beliefs and that includes christians but I think sometimes is just accepting that some people do believe.
I heard one of your songs for the first time last Sunday. It was Mindful. After that I heard a couple more while listening to shuffle on Spotify. They really resonated with me. I'm a Christian. I was raised a Christian. Except, I'm not a Christian in the same way that I used to be. The process of unlearning my faith and trying to reconnect with it in a new way has been really painful. It still is, sometimes. But I also don't want to go back to the way I was, when I used my religion to hurt people. Now that you know that context, I just want to say, I could sort of feel kinship in your music. I was strongly wondering if these creators were like me, Christians who didn't really fall in line with what a lot of Christians now preach and believe. I don't know what each member of the band believes, and it doesn't really matter to me. I just want to say thank you, because whether you meant to or not, you created something that resonates with what I have and am going through. It helps me to realize that I'm not quite alone in this journey I'm taking. It means so much to me, more than I can express. Thank you.
"Love Who You Love" Broke like a stone Shattered like still water Confessions hung Between your lungs Your mind in pretzel pain The roots like filigree While they're buzzed on piety God looks fabulous in drag Go on, go on, don't you apologize Go on, go on, don't you apologize Some days you feel like running Like the forest ablaze Caught in smoky haze Capsizing Consider how the wind Waves the branches arms to greet you Leaves fell so you can see through Revealing what was always good Go on, go on, don't you apologize Go on, go on, don't you apologize Go on, go on, don't you apologize Go on, go on, don't you apologize Love who you love Love who you love Love who you love Love who you love Love who you love Love who you love Love who you love Love who you love

"Love Who You Love"
Broke like a stone
Shattered like still water
Confessions hung
Between your lungs
Your mind in pretzel pain
The roots like filigree
While they're buzzed on piety
God looks fabulous in drag
Go on, go on, don't you apologize
Go on, go on, don't you apologize
Some days you feel like running
Like the forest ablaze
Caught in smoky haze
Capsizing
Consider how the wind
Waves the branches arms to greet you
Leaves fell so you can see through
Revealing what was always good
Go on, go on, don't you apologize
Go on, go on, don't you apologize
Go on, go on, don't you apologize
Go on, go on, don't you apologize
Love who you love
Love who you love
Love who you love
Love who you love
Love who you love
Love who you love
Love who you love
Love who you love
