I was not in agreement with what the forecasts were saying and it is still a unpredictable storm. But now I was more correct then some of the other forecasters. I just hope it does not stall up near the panhandle as it might turn back on itself Subscribe Button for new videos: bit.ly/3aToJ3H
Rusty… thanks for providing some insight into today’s weather. My daughter is driving to The Villages right now and hoping she’s not driving through feeder bands.
Hi Rusty, Thanks for the information. When a hurricane warning occurs for a much larger hurricane than Debbie, are there hurricane shelters within the Villages we can go to nearby or do we just need to hunker down in our homes in say a bathroom or an interior room in the house? I wouldn't recommend going anyplace, even with Debbie in your golf car.... I am planning. Thanks Philly guy!
Have the golf courses been turning all the sprinklers on to drain the retention ponds? We were visiting TV when Hurricane Ian went thru and TV seemed to run every single sprinkler for several days prior to the weather arriving.
I think we should be ok around here but I'm not sure this is going to get much bigger...just linger around up north. Subscribe Button for new videos: bit.ly/3aToJ3H
Question 2. Which areas in the Villages are prone to flooding from larger storms? I am currently looking for a home in the Villages and that would be good to know. I know you are busy right now so this can wait until Debbie passes. Is there a map showing areas prone to flooding so I can be sure to get flood insurance?
Great info for people who are new to our state . Right now in northern Palm Beach County we are having 40 mph wind gusts and are expecting heavy rains ( we had some yesterday. That being said , l buy a new car every 8 years . I put a hold ( 💵) on one sitting at the port in JAX . I just hope it doesn’t end up with the 25,000 other cars that were flooded out from the last hurricane in a field in the middle of the state. I know it’s nothing compared to losses ( flood & wind ) many people are facing now . I just hope Debby isn’t going to cause any major issues for the people in its path .
HI RUSTY: New Sub here... Your thoughts appreciated.... I need to obtain FL residency for Tax and Estate (death inheritance) purposes fairly soon.... I was thinking the best move for me would be to just rent a room in one of the Villages rooms for rent.... I would save a fortune.... Also, I dont think my prospective room mates would be "high risk..." 🤣 either... This way I am spending almost nothing and have NO liability or obligations until I figure out where I want to live in FL... What do you think about "my plan..." ?
Stay safe out there 🙏🙏🙏
Your videos are always so interesting. I’m sure your fellow Villagers appreciate your video. Stay safe Rusty.
