He then remembers her and her death then tries to move on with another girl but that doesn’t work and then we’ll....the end of the show happens but I loved how Hayley and Elijah always loved each other Hayley and klaus did love each other but because they were a family and because of hope but Elijah and Hayley they were true lovers
Ethan Mitchell when him along with the other 3 siblings had to remain apart in order to keep the dark magic away from Hope, Elijah went to Marcel to compel him to forget Hayley, Hope and the rest of the family cause he couldn’t bare to keep away from them so he thought if he just forgot he would be better off

They built up that dance in another life, I was soooo disappointed and terribly sad they didn’t show Elijah and Haley dancing in the afterlife. I mean they showed all the afterlife reunions for The Vampire Diaries, why not for the Originals? Poor writing.

@Emilia Fischer only delena got happy ending. Stefan died and peace means nothing when his wife is widowed on the same day of their wedding. Whats happy in that? He deserved a happy human life but Julie has favouritism only towards Delena and for her others can just die.

I always loved seeing Hope interact with her aunts and uncles, but my favorite was always seeing her interact with Kol and Elijah. I think she brought the best out in them.

roo 112 Unfortunately there was an alternate ending that had the dance before they changed it to the one we saw on TV. They shoulda kept the "Original" ending in my opinion (pun intended).

I love that Elijah saw Landon walking in, teased her about it, immediately got up went into protective uncle mode and was just like "behave" then left to let her do her thing. That's such an uncle thing to do. 😂
I think that comment really brought it home for Elijah that she's waiting for him, and that he can be with her again, and I think that's what really made him decide to die with Klaus.

I think when elijah heard from hope that hayley is stil waiting for him on the other side , a part of him wanted to die.. just to be with her. And when the right occassion came, he did not hesitate to die. So, as much as he had all the family responsibility and love for klaus to die along with klaus, elijah had a greater personal reason to die - to unite with his love !
I haven’t watched the originals yet, only season 1, so pardon me, but didn’t the other side like, explode? in TVD? did they fix it somehow?
I wish we could’ve seen Hayley and Elijah in the ending. But even if we didn’t we know that they’re finally together peaceful and happy

Okay I love that he addresses how unfair it was to place the responsibility of mending their family on an unborn child. He basically just called out every couple that's ever thought a baby would fix their problems. It's never the child's job to make life better for you. It's your job to make a good life for them.

I hate the way they ended Elijah and Hope’s relationship. I wish we could have seen ten being closer without any animosity. Hope doesn’t even know before Klaus and before Hayley Elijah lived her first. He was the first to fight to keep her alive.

The way Hope speaks in this scene, the way she reminds him how human he really is and they are much more alike than different, that's where he sees Hayley. She doesn't see things in black and white and sees the good in others. It was an amazing trait Hayley had and she definitely passed it down to Hope.

Perhaps this is one of the diriving reasons as to why Elijiah chose to die with Niklaus...in order to get that last dance with Hayley.

There is no way hope could have known about their dance on her own. Which means there is an other side and Hayley is still not totally dead like Stephen. Wish Hope finds a way to bring Klaus, Elijah and Hayley back.
