Never thought about it but why aren't titanium bike locks more common? Titanium may be softer than steel but it's a bigger pain to cut and is significantly lighter which makes it more convenient to take with you. Sure you can still cut through it with enough time and patience but you can do the same with a regular steel U lock. The titanium bar will not only be deceptively difficult to cut but it'll also blind them while cutting due to the white sparks that come off of it.
The only problem with the Float Life stuff is they never seem to have anything in any color in stock for the Pint! Carbon Smith has their one piece plate in stock. Great news! Float Life must be ramping up production! I just received a red Solo Float Plate and the Ferrari red sidekicks! My Pint looks amazing! and is well protected.
Did C&R say when they were shipping the Pint bags? I've been waiting for 2 for so long I don't remember when I ordered. Like the Pint, they kept slipping the ship date.
@@freshlycharged we have a set of the two seperated float plates for our Pint that just came in the mail (definitely was needed for this coming Monday's video) but that little handle cutout makes me want that float plate someday 😁
Hey Jimmy and chat I'm looking to get into Onewheels, I would wanna be able to use it for transportation to and from classes. I’m a 19-year-old University student in Denmark, my commute is around 3.7 miles each way and I'm 190 pounds and 6.1. Would u guys recommend the Pint or the XR, only ridden a onewheel for 5 min at a showroom? I know I might have to charge the pint at class before going home. (Don't know if it changes anything but the difference of the pint and XR is 600$ in Denmark and not half like in the US)
@Wrafttex, I just purchased my OneWheel Pint and although it is much more portable than then XR, you are obviously sacrificing in some areas. The pint has smaller footpads so if you have bigger feet than around a 10, which I'm guessing you do, then you might feel less comfortable on the pint as there is less foot-room. (Keep in mind you will have to keep your feet on the board for 3.7 miles) On the other hand, the pint is more affordable compared to the pint and still is extremely zippy, so if you are on a tighter budget, the pint may be your option. If you want to go faster(upwards of 20mph), the XR might be your board but it all depends on your needs. Personally, I would get the XR if I was 6'1 haha because it would feel more comfortable and the extra speed might be a great investment if you are running a little late for class. Ultimately, it's up to you and if you can find a store which offers demo-plans, I would recommend that first(so you can test out both). I hope this helps and I'm glad to welcome you to the OneWheel community.
Currently, im leaning more to the XR even tho the price is higher the extra range and bigger size seems nice. But the pint also has its strengths by being easier to carry .
Austin V. I’m 6’4 & 205lbs... I wear a size 11.5 shoe... no issues whatsoever with the pint, but I also have no baseline to compare to as I’ve only ridden an XR for less than a minute prior to buying the pint.
Very cool you let your son's friend help with the unboxing. You are probably known as the 'cool' Dad 😎 When doing a full review on the C&R bag, would it be possible to show the amount of water resistance? My wife and I live in WA and are afraid of getting caught in the rain during a ride. This bag would be a great if it starts to downpour. Would also love to see a review someday on the C&R XR bag. Not sure about the differences between the two bags. Love your videos. Thank you!
Great video! Do you use the carbon shield front bumper with wheels on any of your OWs? If so what is your feedback on it? Cant find any detailed reviews on the web. Thanks!
Do you think it would be possible to put the pint in a regular backpack, essentially I wanna use the pint to climb hills then bomb the hills on my longboards with the pint on my back.
I've been riding my Pint for two weeks now, and I have the most fun riding it off road on dirt/gravel trails. I want to change up the tail pad though, and just wondering what would be best (Hi Kush pad, or OneTail Extreme Concave)? Would either option work well with Flight Fins?
Hi Jimmy I have a question about pint locks. I’m living dorm so I have to lock my pint on bicycle stand inside the University. Because they don’t allow me to keep my pint inside of dorm. I want to buy strong one but I’m afraid it will fit on my pint or not. It’s 16mm thick do you think it will fit?
Keep it in your dorm. Get a bag. Pack it in your bag, then carry it inside. No one should care. I would not lock it outside for extended periods of time.
Jimmy Chang But the university have a policy about prohibiting electric scooters or skateboards. So they are not allowing me to keep my pint inside the dorm. I talked with the housing services but still not allowing me.
At first I thought Josh said about the concave for the Pint "Thats so dumb", and I would agree, because the Pint foot area is small enough unless you have a size 6 foot it would be like standing on a hole. They should actually make one that is slightly convex instead of concave as the average foot hangs off on both ends of the smaller Pint and it would conform to the arch of your foot better. Then I disagree that the lock is convenient. It's bulky to carry around , looks like it would scratch the inner part of the One-Wheel and would not be as easy to use as a typical braided wire lock that could be rolled up and stored in a fanny pack or pocket. The charger adapter would be a "must have" item for anyone who already has the XR Charger. Too bad FutureMotion does not let the consumer upgrade the charger for the difference in cost (+$30) at the point of sale.
That iphone footage was nauseating. But great video content none the less. I would love detailed reviews on all the products. I already own the landsurf XR to Pint charger. It's 100% worth the money, I hope he develops a short cord for it though. It's very long when in use and that length creates a higher chance of being snapped.
THIS company NEEDS to make a euc ALREADY DUH. Doubling charging wattage offlabel is for INDOOR ONLY temperature use or interrupted BEFORE overheating charge level is approached. 3:39 Those are not just regular pockets, there are actually expanders for flight fins to fit in the bag
How it’s on the end
Broke my elbow on day 3 of the pint… after I’m healed I’m getting back on that onewheel 🤘🏼
The pint charge adapter to use the xr is genius. I'll grab one when I buy my pint so I dont need 2 chargers.
