Where is the place in Burundi? I am Burundian leaving a broad but never have a chance to visit that beautiful place. By the grace of god I will visit that wonderful place this year.🙏
Start looking in the French museums and ... For the stolen drum🤦🏿 I did not know drums could have a "spirit" ... That must have been a magical drum after all that they did to it
Thank you for the insight! Yes African drums are spiritual ..well the way the drummers beat the drum can connect the physical and the spiritual. Where I come from.. you have to be appointed as a drummer! You can just decide I want to be a drummer, they (elders) have to choose you!
I am a Burundian/Rwandan living/studying in the US and my experience with African Americans has been so alarming in terms of realizing how much disconnect is there due to slavery and colonialism. Sometimes we tend to feel like there wont be any change soon but damn.... not gonna lie ...kudos unapologetic nomads...i been checking y all and i can only describe what y all doin as REVOLUTIONARY... Keep UP with the good work....#blackconsciousness All LOVE
Same here, I'm glad they are realizing the potential they have, especially with the buy black movement. Im proud of them honestly. They came a long way and had to endure so much but they are climbing the American ladder 👌
Ehhhhh we are way more connected than you know. Please don’t assume. The only country that has not been colonized in Africa is Ethiopia and that’s a barely. The disconnect isn’t as grave as though ppl make it.
Some of my people will be offended, but this is a very true statement. Ignorance is here, just like anywhere else in the world. But, i believe education, lack of exposure, hopeleness, and the way you were raised have a lot to do with it. Years ago, I visited some of my husbands family and childhood friends in Mississippi, and we were appalled to hear some of the misinformation, limited, and lack of knowledge regarding Africa, slave history, and Black American icons in history. However, his family in Harlem NY are extremely informed, well traveled, and connected.
Man I love how they raised the frequency at 18:51 This whole performance was beautiful but they really made me turn up at that point. Much love and Respect to our people in Burundi 🇧🇮

Shout out to the unapologetic nomads for sharing these unforgettable moments with us, I could feel the vibration of the drums trough my heart. It was highly appreciated family. Another fun fact about Burundian people is that under King Mwezi in 1886, my people achieved to defeat the slave trader " Rumaliza" therefore none of our brothers were sold to be slave. Keep it up the good work family
Wow wow wow that was phenomenally exciting true African spirit I love the colors the background of the mountains the red clay ground even the children high in the tree and yes I did shed a tear out of excitement and honor for what our motherland has to offer I can imagine how that feels up close and personal. Africa is a great and blessed continent. It's people are beautiful and their music and dance very enchanting. Chuka and Akamba of Eastern Kenya use drums, actually many Kenyan tribes use drums and the music and dance, wow.
Wooow this is amazing, always wanted to experience in person I know it's so much better. Thank you for sharing, so much history, it's beautiful. No wonder why it's called Gishora Sanctuary cuz the King hid there. ☺️
You guys need to go to Uganda and check out some serious drumming and dancing from the Baganda and Basoga tribes. Very interesting history as well, most especially the Baganda. East Africa has some of the best drum rhythms on the planet! I can link you to people in the arts if you are ever in that area. Thank you for all your positivity and wonderful example of familial love. Stay blessed in all your deeds and encounters😇
