This was by far the best thing i found in putting our pool pump up. So clear and step by step. I literally watched, then paused and did the step, then hit play again. I cannot thank you enough for this video!!
I sure do enjoy watching your videos. My grandpa passed away in 2008 and he took so much knowledge with him that I wish he had taught me. Thank you for your videos.
I just love listening to this man talk and explain to me how to do each step. His demeanour, manner of speaking and explaining things, and accent come off as so patient and comforting.
This man is smart enough to know how stupid I am. And teaches accordingly. Doesn't just explain what to do but what not to do, like not drop the o ring, and dont just randomly try to push out the wrinkles but in the one direction. No need to argue, just do it how he says. No cutting corners. Thoughts of suicide will go away and you will be swimming the dream! (Thanks to this video! )

Thank you so much for this video! You saved my marriage. 😂 We had a terrible time getting the legs in the holes I finally thought to use some baby powder. Dry shampoo works even better because you can spray it. Just wanted to share that because I was about to lose my mind.
Sir, Thank you so very much for a perfect explanation in setting up the pool and filter system! Our ground has been preset to the previous pools. We dug the ground dirt out a couple of inches deep. Leveled the sand. Placed stone in the dirt and sand for the poles. I also used insulation blue foam for cushion. So your help was extremely helpful in installing the pool and my first time with a sand pump. I had used a good size water pump that lasted 20 years ago. Thanks again from PA. Your Brilliant 💙

The number of these aboveground Intex pools I have installed a recommendation for the indented sand bottom you mention at 33:30 is to go to Home Depot or Lowes and get some 3/4 to 1 inch foam boards tape them all together and cut them into the shape of the bottom of the pool then put the ground cover on top of it and it works perfectly with these vinyl above ground pools and it's softer and way cheaper than using concrete.
I really appreciate this video. It's late in the season (Aug 8th) here in Michigan, but I just got done doing all the ground work. I'll be setting this pool up tomorrow. Hopefully my daughter can enjoy it for a few more weeks this summer. At least it'll be done for next year. Anyhow, I have to have my water trucked in. Will I be able to set the pavers before any water is in the pool? I'm sure the water delivery guy isn't going to want to sit there and wait on me to dig out and place 18 pavers plus stretching the pool liner out after filling the first inch of water. They do know I have to stretch the liner after the first inch of water though and agreed to wait while I do that.
You should be able to get them close enough before getting the water. Just make sure to get the liner good and stretched and they should be close enough. Just remember to keep leveling the legs as the pool fills because once it's full you want be able to move them.
That depends on what your water looks like. As per what I do, Once the pool clean and I only shock ours about once every 3 weeks. I have othe pool related videos in my pool related play list that you may find helpful. Thank you and God Bless!
Question: We put up the pool last night and put about an inch of water in it - We set the pool on foam BUT we forgot to put the ground cover down --ugg -- is the ground cover necessary?
This one did not come with the strainer basket, that was extra. as for the chlorine tablets, I use a floater that just floats in the pool to put the tablets in.
So you should put a inch of water in your pool and get the wrinkles out then straighten your posts then add your paver blocks u see them I was told to dig them I to the ground not set them in top of the ground that the water pressure will break them overtime ?
@@papawsplace will it hurt the bottom of the pool if the liner come out on the ocms once filled up I'm using four inch colid block was afraid two inch would break over time with all the water weight I know some peoples.there did not sure if it was because there's wasn't level or wat but we used a transit the pool is dead on level but it looks like some of my blocks when we start putting water in that the liner once it starts pushing out some will be on the blocks and may cause a hold I did dig down into the ground four inches for my blocks my blocks are not sitting on top of the ground.
It sure will, after erecting my pool, I then came back and put clay soil over the sand around the pool so the grass would grow and not let it wash out.
Thank you for this video! I don't know if I would've got my pool up without it! Do you just put chlorine tablets in a floater? Any & all advice for what chemicals I need to keep my pool water clear is greatly appreciated.
I back wash mine about every 5 or 6 weeks no matter what the PSI is showing. The pump seems to have more return pressure when keeping the sand filter back washed.

With UV degradation the manufacturers don't even need to design in planned obsolescence. They just make everything out of plastic and they know you'll be back in a couple of years with an open wallet. The quality of your video was great. Your phone or camera does an outstanding job. Your editing isn't half bad, either. One little thing, though. When you were talking over the sound of that pump running, I could barely hear you.

What about the blocks touching the liner?
The liner shouldn't be setting directly on the blocks if you have a ground cover and sand over the blocks.

It sure will, after erecting my pool, I then came back and put clay soil over the sand around the pool so the grass would grow and not let it wash out.
It seems like you're waisting a lot of water that you just put into the pool when turning the pump on. Is there anyway around that?
That's why I backwash my filter after a big rain that fills the pool to the top.

But don’t you leave foot depressions when your inside the pool getting the wrinkles out?
I believe I said that in the video. unless you're on hard ground you will get small impressions. I still prefer the sand beneath mine.
How often do you backwash your sand pump?
I back wash mine about every 5 or 6 weeks no matter what the PSI is showing. The pump seems to have more return pressure when keeping the sand filter back washed.

How many legs does this pool have
I would have to rewatch the video to answer that.
great vid, id suggest not covering the blocks with sand until the pool is filled because you may need to slide them around on the paver
As thin as the sand was over the blocks the legs still moved easy. I just wanted to make sure the liner didn't touch the blocks as it filled.
