I love watching the film and have seen it many times. It is bigger than horses - these same concepts apply to helping people heal from trauma. Thank you Buck and Cindy for putting yourselves out there and being authentic.

💛 Thank you Buck for being one of the great people who was teaching Steven Young who is also hugely positively changing the horse human world!

Yes Bucks story transcends horses, we have a foster granddaughter & saw so many parallels with his experience. Thank you.

I love the way he treads horses and people .That he sees horses as friends and not a mashines that have to work .He is a great person and I hope ,that I can join one of his seminars when I have my own horse one day .

Sensitivity and respect our universal themes. This documentary was just as much about people as it was about horses. What the world could be if we all treated each other with so much love.

Buck's calm composed tone builds trust in humans, too.

I thought this story was about life and how we treat people in general.not just horses. We need to discipline children with respet as you would a horse. Great life lessons. About Buck's life and how he overcame odd's in life.

I think Buck is WAY too grounded a person to ever let success go to his head. I got a fairly successful book published, and the only thing that really changed is that I didn't have to worry if I could afford to buy food at the grocery store anymore. I'm sure Buck was similarly unphased, and was just back to work doing his thing like it was no big deal.

love it but must ask are the spurs really necessary ?

    • @kevinstollar3043

I don't think there's anything wrong with spurs if you know what there used for how and when to use them the problem is some people have no idea .

A true Sage is one who doesn't perceive him/herself to be a 'sage'. They are 'heaven sents', and we, the beneficiaries, have no say in this.

vivaloriflamme To me it looks as if they are purposely making a point of keeping distance. His wife is there. I may be wrong, but I know what that is about.

+2MyHills , you do realize that this is NOT his wife right? It is stated in the title: director Cindy Meehl :-)

Does anyone else think this guy is like Hannibal Lecter, the way he gets under people's skin and upsets them? If my horse trainer started psychoanalyzing me I'd tell him where to shove it.

Sounds like you could use some help your self. If that's your reaction to him and the movie.

Viel Fehlverhalten der Pferde haben ihre Ursache im Verhalten und denken des Menschen. Man sollte froh sein, einen Trainer zu haben, der genau hinschaut und nicht einfach das Pferd den menschenproblemen anpasst.
