I have a six year old female. Have had her for a year. Oh BOY…LOUD doesn’t even begin to cover it! 🙀 I heard somewhere they have same decibel level as a ROCK concert! Guitar 🎸 I believe it. I have to turn my hearing aids off to maintain a little sanity.🤣 I loved your face when talking about how challenging conures are…Amen sister! They can be a big PITA for sure but, cuddles are sooo nice.☺️ She’s an awesome watch dog too. Anyone comes up the drive or door opens she’s screeching away!🚨 That’s one unique sound I definitely pay attention to. Thanks for the video!👏🏼😎👍 🦜
How did I miss this when it came out?? We almost got a sun when we got Frankie and I'm glad we changed our mind! I think they are super cute and probably more cuddly but I don't think I could handle the noise!!
I feed them around 930 and 430. AM is chop, PM is pellets. Am chop I may give them any pellet dust they didn’t finish (happens on occasion). They get as much as they can eat! The suns and Sam get around 20 grams of chop and 10g pellets, cookie 70-80 and 30g pellets.
@@bestflockingfriends that's a great Idea with the dust! I'm always left with a good layer of dust from the TOPS. Do your birds finish all their AM chop?
Did you build your sun conures that play area with tree stands in your kitchen. I really want to get one, they’re a bit hard to get in the UK. I’ve always had budgies now I want a sun conure but worried about how loud they are.
My Sun Conure is nowhere near as loud as my Love Birds nor do they vocalize as often as my Love Birds. I genuinely believe that people who cannot handle Sun Conure noises shouldn't even have a bird to begin with. I have had a Macaw and a Tucan and a Golden Conure that make the Sun seem mute. People really are just weak and whiny when it comes to animals and those types of people should not ever own birds. Even a Green Cheek or a Cockatiel can make hellish noise if they wish.
Sure, I think that is an interesting perspective. It’s hard to know what you’re getting into buying a bird and a bit harsh to say someone shouldn’t own a bird because the noise is hard to handle. It bothers my ears because I’m sensitive to loud noises, but I still appreciate them and enjoy being around them. Yes, generally birds are loud - I did another video on this. It’s because that’s how they communicate and that’s ok :) there’s ways to keep the noise down that may be helpful to others, and my point was to inform people suns are loud and it’s not my top recommendation to buy one if noise will be an issue.

Mango nodding in the beginning...too funny😆
Lol..I'm trying to picture poor Cookie 🍪 being scared half to death by the conures squawking.
Oh girl it’s a sight watching her run away from them 😂
Sun conures can be loud, but at the same time they are quiet & love to cuddle
So true!
Loved this video...
Thanks so much! I appreciate it
Nice. I love sun conures!
Us too!! 😍

They’re definitely a handful!!!
4:17 Oohhh Mikey.... we are so going to razz you about that!
Alright, maybe it's just me, but at 6:25, it almost sounds like Cookie is saying shut up🤣
Lol she says a lot I don’t understand so you could be right!
I am glad you're back! Noisy or not, I keep thinking I want Suns. 😊
Great Video! What time do you feed your birds in the morning and evening? And how much chop and pellets do you feed them?

All of us feel the same about the conflict of birds in captivity, right? It’s so hard.
they're velcro birds
I mean. I definitely don’t have a sun conure😂
Though, my female quaker parrot is extremely loud for a quaker. I think she does it for fun.

They are some of the most beautiful birds, I just can’t stand their squawk.
It can definitely be painful!!
@@bestflockingfriends It just dawned on me how rude that comment was. I’m sorry. I wasn’t talking about your birds specifically. It’s all conures.
