Many years ago, when I was racing at Laguna Seca in the rain, I was beating drivers that usually were faster than me, but I still don't know why. One time my goggles fogged up and I had to remove them. The rain hitting my eye balls was like needles! Dumb move.
Then Mercedes CEO ( and top bean counter) Wilhelm Kissel wrote in his memoirs he hoped these "huge subsidies" would cover one third of the expenses. To his chagrin they actually covered barely ten percent.
These films are so cool! Such brave men. Hemingway, said the only true sport was Bullfighting, mountaineering and Auto Racing! He was right.🏁
