I ended up buying this bag about a year ago and returning it because the stitching on the side was already coming out and I haven't even worn the bag and it was "brand new" from LV
I had the PM in the reverse monogram, and I just sold it today. I wear a lot of black and dark colors, and since the reverse mono is on the back (with the regular mono on the front), it was susceptible to color transfer. I've seen people say that their PM reverse bags have gotten ruined by jeans, so it just wasn't something that I reached for a lot. Then, when it comes to lighter colors -- like summer floral dresses -- the monogram logo seemed to clash, or it seemed to casual to go with solid color, prettier dresses. So after wearing the bag only once over the 18 months, I sold it. I think it would be a smart choice for someone who wears a lot of lighter colored, solid fabrics, but I don't regret selling it. Plus, in Los Angeles, monogram is starting to look...dare I say...cheap and overplayed...unless it's in the newest, hard-to-find bag (like the multipohcette accessoires...for now). Thanks for your honest video!!!
I bought it in the empriente leather in black and I love it. I saw another you tubers review and those reasons were why I got the leather. I don’t have any of those issues. My bag is from 2018. I wonder if the softness of the leather makes it easier to close and I use the back pocket. Also the leather material is not suede so that helps but I have samorga inserts. I love the monogram but I’m glad I didn’t get it.
How is your empreinte bag holding up? I was thinking about getting the black one, but then an influencer on Instagram said that hers was aging terribly, so she wanted to sell it before it was too late.
@@MarniMedia Depending how one wears it/ how overstuffed the bag is daily. Leather can stretch but mine is fine. I do see a lot of sagging on the front flap on the pre-loved bags due to leather softness. Canvas is stiffer.

I LOVE mine! I really don’t have any issues. The only thing is the interior back pocket is almost flat, so I put like tissues or receipts in it. I use the back pocket to store my phone and that’s it.
My lock is crooked too with no glazing issues. I even noticed if I don't stuff the front compartment of the bag, its so hard to close. The best solution for closing the lock easily is to stuff the front compartment. I usually put my mini pochette or makeup pouch in there as a cushion for the lock and it closes easily.
Wow this video really surprised me! I love my Pochette Metis. I bought a pre- loved 2019 bag for under retail, it has no glazing issues, the lock is straight and I have no problem closing it, the back pocket fits my phone perfectly with no bulging and the interior is pristine although I’ve used it loads! I also tie a bandeau round the handle so it only has a very light patina and I usually wear it crossbody or hand held - not usually a crook of the arm person so don’t mind that. I’m in the UK and have a made in France one so I don’t know if that makes a difference. It sounds like you have been unlucky with yours - maybe the overall quality is not up there like it should be 😢😢😢😘😘😘
I first got the monogram, but then after contemplating, I realized that it doesn’t fit my style. For some reason, the monogram overpowers my entire outfit for this kind of bag. I have the PSM in monogram but for some reason, it fits my wardrobe more. Kinda hard to explain lol. I sold it and got the empreinte leather in tourterelle. And I LOVE IT! My every day school bag. I don’t baby my bags and the leather is pretty care free. I also love the discreetness of empreinte leather which makes it easier to blend in and make my outfits more coherent.
I bought mine after the hype and the first one I had was having glazing issues so I sold it but then I missed it. I bought it 2nd hand on FB page LV Addicted then I sold it coz I didn't like that I was the 2nd owner. I bought it online last year in December but they sent me one that had quality issues so I returned it. Luckily the next day, it was back online for me to buy and I went ahead and order it and finally got it in perfect condition. I have the reverse mono BTW and I really love it!

Wow, sounds like it took you a Little bit to get the perfect one. Glad you did 😘
You used "contemplating" perfectly. In the "crook of your arm." Your English is amazing/no accent. I would never have guessed it's not your first language.
I agree, I’ve noticed you’re insecure with your English but I only realized you speak a different language because you mentioned translating from German. You sound perfect though!
I bought this bag, and only wore it once, and ended up returning it because I discovered that the canvas was buckled (not flat) in the back. It was just before COVID, which was annoying because I had to hold on to it for several weeks. I was going to exchange for a new one, but I ended up falling out of love with it mostly because I realized it was a little too big for me and I thought I wouldn’t end up using it very often. It’s also pricey bag for just canvas, so I wanted to make sure I loved it if I was to keep it. I have no regrets. After watching your video I’m even more glad I returned it. Thanks!
I bought the monogram last fall from NY Macy’s and mine is perfect without any imperfections! 😍😍You might have a defected one. I would’ve exchanged it if I were you.
I do not have this bag but I do like it. I just don’t think it would work for me though. For what you paid for that bag, you shouldn’t have any issues with that lock on the front. If that was me I would have LV repair it but that’s me. Thank you for being so honest about that bag.
I have this bag. I push the bag down above the vachetta tab and use my other finger down on the clip into the lock. When you are wearing it works perfect and I can open it one handed. I always make sure to have something flat (card case, key cles, zippy coin purse in that pocket) and when I close it ....no problem!
i bought this bag brand new last October and have the same exact issue with the front symmetry being really off. the flap looks completely crooked when closed and it bothers me every time I look at it. i see others' photos and reviews of their PMs and get so jealous of how the monogram print aligns perfectly where the flap meets the body. I thought I was the only one with the crooked defect because I couldn't find anyone else on youtube with the same issue. thanks for sharing your honest complaints! now I know I'm not alone. (i still love the bag despite its flaws...I just try not to think about how much I spent on an imperfect bag lol )
I have two of these bags. One reverse monogram and one on empreinte. I have not had any of these problems with either one. I never use the top handle to carry it, I use the strap it comes with.
I have this bag and have gotten sooo much use from it. I really do love it and I thankfully haven’t had any of these issues. What a shame about your lock, though. That would annoy me, too.
I bought it on 2018 and the glaze started peeling off on 2019. LV fixed it no problem. The opening and closing is easy yours is difficult more than likely cause of the defect. LV should fix it. I problem. Back pocket fits my iPhone and is easy in and out. Handle is meant as a grab and go. Very functional when getting it out of your car 😊 Interior is great!!!! Depends on what you carry it will get dirty or not. I would say the bag is almost perfect lol just get it fix with LV when starts peeling
girl i go on dh gate (cuuz im poor) to look for this bag and id read reviews and they all say how to the lock is crooked. id go to Lv and have your bag checked cuz u mightve gotten scammed
I have this bag, and I don’t have any of those problems. And I never have trouble closing it with the buckle in the front. And I keep my iPhone X in the back pocket. So I still love this purse!
I bought this bag from the Louis Vuitton Florida about 2 years ago . I believe everything you say . I think the hype is overrated. And the bag is definitely over priced . I think I paid about 1600.00 now the price is crazy. It’s definitely NOT worth it.
It’s crook of your arm. I tried this bag in store and didn’t like it. My husband took one look at it and said it was too small. I ended up with a Coach Cassie and LOVE it.
I have had my neverfull for a little over a year and the handles are a mess. I called LV and they told me I have to take it to the store for an assessment. I think a Nine West bag would last more than a year. I really hope they do a complimentary repair.
This is my fav lux bag because it's so easy to open and close. Im sure it's just because of the crooked lock. I find the Gucci dionysus annoying because the lock is so hidden and kinda awkward.
I Think it sometimes depends on what you are putting in the bag sometimes you can straighten it out so it doesn’t look so crooked ☺️🤗but yes it is a very nice bag but it is bad that it not perfect to that price tag😳😳
I bought mine before it was popular and used it sparingly. I ending up selling it with no regrets. When the Coach Cassie came out in the burgundy color I bought
As a practitioner in the luxury industry, I really can't tell you that the luxury processing factories you usually buy are basically the same as the manufacturers of KKUWAN
Yes, it is hard to open and close. I still use it though! And the back pocket is small and I don't use it because whatever I put in it shows. The top handle, I know what you're saying but I kind of use it as a clutch so I'm okay with it. Overall, I'm glad I have it and it's a good length for a crossbody for me.
Currently contemplating returning for a refund after THREE exchanges due to quality. Yes, that means I'm sitting with the 4th bag and yes, it's flawed. A royal pain - but a first-world problem, right? Agreed - why is the lock so counter-intuitive? All of your notes are valid. Agreed - why is the lock so counter-intuitive? Yikes! The interior is very disappointing. I will also add the following: the lock scratches easily. I'd love to hear your thoughts now that you've owned yours - how has that held up? All in all, this bag does not justify the cost. The lack of attention to detail (i.e. quality and UX) is why I am returning it.
I just got mine a weeks ago from LV online, and I love it so much everything its great, the only one make me confuse is don’t have the tag date on back zipper, purchases $2,050.00
"You could fit a letter" 😂😂😂 I have the new big iPhone with a Popsocket and mine fits. Ooooo the top handle. I wish it was bigger too!!! It would be so nice! Lydia Millen just posted a pic on IG with her arm through it...noooooo idea how she did it haha. I love how mushy your bag looks
Hi! I just recently purchased my metis reverse. I would like to know the s-lock , does the right side really doesnt move at all? The left one is the only thing thats slides when i open the bag. Thanks
I have this bag also and it’s great. I agree with the inside material. It does tend to get a little dirty and things to tend to stick to it. Thanks for sharing.
I have to say goodbye to my pochette and decided not to get the same style because of the issue of the glacing!i love it but i dont want to have experienced the same issue again so decided to change it to Beau Marchais
I don’t like my graceful Louis Vuitton bag. I got it because I didn’t want another never full and the graceful handal is just so thick and uncomfortable and it’s a slouchy bag so it doesn’t stand up it just flops....Not enough space to put it on my underarm. I just don’t like it. But it’s my wedding gift so I must keep it forever lol. Maybe I’ll change my mind in a few years when I haven’t worn it for a while and it’ll be new to me again. Don’t know lol. 🙄should of got a never full.
I actually prefer the Coach Cassie. The PM is a nice bag, but there are so many other great designer bags on the market, I don’t get why everyone & her/ his mother seems to own it this one.
I got mine in reverse as I was lucky to find only one pochette Métis of any kind in a store. The only problem I’ve been having is the lock by closing it. Now there are scratches on the lock area. Also I’ve been having trouble by finding most of every outfit I want to wear that goes along with reverse. One more, it looks too big when I move the reverse more to my front. I think mono would make my whole look subtle.
I have it in black bought it new last October. I recently have been using it more and have noticed my lock is crooked too- I am going to take it in to see what they can do. It’s been bugging me - other than that- I love the bag.
I had considered this bag or the Odeon PM...I had reservations about the lock on the Metis. Thanks for the video. I made the right choice with the Odeon:)
OMG you are so correct. My lock has the same issue.. it doesn’t stay closed all the times! And recently one of the side belt holder, has become so wobbly 😢 i am devastated @louisvuitton !
It’s only crooked because you or the previous owner clearly warped the canvas through use. In the case that it is an artisan defect that’s most likely why the previous owner sold it. LV accepts exchanges in the case that a bag is not “perfect” within 30 days of purchase. Again the original owner most likely overlooked it and saw it too late. To declare not to purchase a certain item due to isolated defects is a bit over the top.
My lock on my Reverse isn’t straight Either 😒 it was really hard to get that reverse, so I didn’t want to return it! Also it has to be full for it to Close! My Bergamo is the same 😒

@@HelloSoniaOrtiz I used Collonil Carbon Pro, ordered it from Amazon. As far as I know, Apple Guard is really popular in the US, but it was more difficult to order here in Europe. Therefore I went with Collonil because I saw it on a german youtuber (Lesley Adina). Congratulations on your new bag! 😍
@@ellm123 I’m in rainy Europe and I have a few new LV’s and an Mulberry Alexa I don’t wear because of the weather. I want to try collonil, does it work? I really want to wear them so badly.
@@myhubbyislouisvuitton4218 Hi, I'm in Europe too. I used Colonil and it works perfect. I have no watermarks so far, even though I have been caught in the rain sometimes. Try it :) xoxo
@@ellm123 You are a Star 🌟
I usually just use my older LV’s that are quite dark but I’m dating and my newer bags are in heavy rotation. I’ll get some today. Thank you so much Beautiful 😘
Yes,,,,, your right,,, I went to LV store yesterday I almost get one, but my concerning is
first it’s to soft the bag not stand up , second the dock is going to be broken in future the price is $2575.00 yesterday
and I decided not to get it
I got some new bag I pay $3200.00 and I love it
Thank you for sharing good advice 👍👏
Give it time. Mine is from early 2018. Not my only bag. In June glazing on one side started separating from canvas.
@@yelenaherrin657 Thank you for your reply -- much appreciated!
I have the updated 2020 model and they have addressed and corrected all of the issues with the old models.....the back pocket is great and very roomy.... it fits my iPhone Pro Max as well as my coin purse with no noticeable bulk.... it locks very easily. You may want to upgrade to the new model... I LOVE my bag and it is great for travel.... it’s my go to when traveling through airports 🥰
Is your bag made in Italy? Because I bought one and I'm not sure I thought it's made in France 🧐 thank you
@@Maria-xg9ob the inside patch will indicate where it’s made..... my bag is made in France ...... I ordered it from LV Fashion Valley ........ if you are looking to make future purchases ask for Michaella
Glad you did 😘
Is the price from LV addicted is same as the one from boutique?
I agree that the closure is a little fussy, but I still love this bag. It is a great crossbody.
Good to know it’s not only my bag ☺️
You used "contemplating" perfectly. In the "crook of your arm." Your English is amazing/no accent. I would never have guessed it's not your first language.
Thank you so much 😘😘😘
What language do you speak otherwise?
Thanks!
I never understood the hype around this bag and especially never did with all of the issues!
Yeah it definitely isn’t perfect!
I bought the monogram last fall from NY Macy’s and mine is perfect without any imperfections! 😍😍You might have a defected one. I would’ve exchanged it if I were you.
Oups too late, I got it in store 2 weeks ago. I was nervous and scared because of past issues, so I am crossing my fingers mine would be fine. 💕
Update on your purchase? I am looking at a pre-loved empreinte PM.
It is difficult to close when it is not full. But I love it...
Contemplating purchasing makes sense.😊
Adds to cart 🛒. I LOVE that bag. I’m GETTING it!
i bought this bag brand new last October and have the same exact issue with the front symmetry being really off. the flap looks completely crooked when closed and it bothers me every time I look at it. i see others' photos and reviews of their PMs and get so jealous of how the monogram print aligns perfectly where the flap meets the body. I thought I was the only one with the crooked defect because I couldn't find anyone else on youtube with the same issue. thanks for sharing your honest complaints! now I know I'm not alone. (i still love the bag despite its flaws...I just try not to think about how much I spent on an imperfect bag lol )
My metis has the lock little crooked too! I noticed also, i m not crazy!! Oh my God, Louis Vuitton is so overrated.
I have two of these bags. One reverse monogram and one on empreinte. I have not had any of these problems with either one. I never use the top handle to carry it, I use the strap it comes with.
My bag pops open by itself even when it is sitting by itself on a chair🤷🏼♀️
Haha!!! Sorry I know that’s annoying I wonder why so disappointing honestly.
At least you’ve got a “haunted purse” gag you can pull with your friends.
I have the reverse mono and i agree with the lock issues, it's really hard to open and close especially when you're in a hurry..
I have this bag and have gotten sooo much use from it. I really do love it and I thankfully haven’t had any of these issues. What a shame about your lock, though. That would annoy me, too.
Drives me wild haha
I bought it on 2018 and the glaze started peeling off on 2019. LV fixed it no problem.
The opening and closing is easy yours is difficult more than likely cause of the defect. LV should fix it. I problem.
Back pocket fits my iPhone and is easy in and out.
Handle is meant as a grab and go. Very functional when getting it out of your car 😊
Interior is great!!!!
Ive bought this bag THREE times. That’s how much I love it.
😂😂 wow
Can u sell me one?
I had issues and they replaced it with no question. I know it's a hassle but I love this bag.
I have had my neverfull for a little over a year and the handles are a mess. I called LV and they told me I have to take it to the store for an assessment. I think a Nine West bag would last more than a year. I really hope they do a complimentary repair.
I have this bag in the red leather LV logo print. Love everything about it except the difficulty closing it. Opening it is no problem.
Definitely 🤔
Have the black monogram, wonderful bag
I bought mine before it was popular and used it sparingly. I ending up selling it with no regrets. When the Coach Cassie came out in the burgundy color I bought
I have the reverse monogram and it’s perfect. Only complaint is my lock has become scratched pretty easily
I have bought the black leather one, inside material is not same but cost more than monogram. I will give you an update soon
I absolutely love mine! Thankfully have zero issues with mine 👍🏻
I have the black one and I had the brown one but I gave it to my mom. This is one of my favorite bags from Louis Vuitton.
Girl, you literally “can’t deal” with anything 😂😂
Her videos are always the best!❤️. She says what everyone wants to say! I think she should get paid to review items! She is awesome!!!!
Amy Anderson Awe, Thank you so much 😘
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
I have the reserve monogram and I love it bc I don’t have to worry about the handle
There were so many issues and recalls I bought a YSL College bag instead. But I love the Empreinte PM.
This is my favorite bag , i really love the pochette metis. Thank you for sharing
The opening and closing is basically the MAIN reason why I don’t use it!! Pisses me off
I got mine in reverse as I was lucky to find only one pochette Métis of any kind in a store.
Yes that is the only problem I have with mine sometimes it’s difficult to close mainly because I’m afraid to scratch it
OMG you are so correct.
Lv favorite mm is my favorite as a crossbody bag, it is chic and elegant and surely better than the pochette métisse .
bags are my way of living. Louis Vuitton Pochette Metis is my preferred
My lock on my Reverse isn’t straight Either 😒 it was really hard to get that reverse, so I didn’t want to return it! Also it has to be full for it to Close! My Bergamo is the same 😒
May be the newer ones are much better, I recently purchased the crafty pochette and I love it, esp the back pocket fits my I iPhone and it is roomy.
Had this bag too and the lock was annoying! Gave it to my mom as a gift, and then got the coach cassie. Problems solved.
I bought this bag in 2019 but I didn’t want the monogram so I bought it in red leather. I have had no problems with it. It is one of my favorites
Nice to see this because I just lost the opening hardware of my reverse ☹️
It’s such a great bag and very functional but I think way too many people have this bag now
