    I've always wanted an older steinberger with a tremelo system. In fact I absolutely love headless guitars in general so comfortable to play. I use the tremelo system alot ala Jeff Beck so I would need one with a tremelo that allows me to pull up a little. What's held me back is fearing the headache of string changing, setups, maintenance etc.... Owning a Floyd Rose in my younger years scarred me lol I tried learning to use them until finally I had a Floyd rose system go nuts on me 10 mins before a gig. Didn't have the no how to fix it and my back up guitar also had an accident earlier on the way to the gig... So I had to embarrassingly cancel the gig. Ever since then I'm paranoid about any gear with a ton of difficult upkeep. Especially niche systems the average repair guy might not be familiar with. Don't want to be on tour going to several guitar shops to finally find somebody qualified enough to fix it. How much of a headache is the maintenance ? On a TransTrem ? Or R Trem ? Easier than a Floyd ? Anybody know of a headless guitar with a working tremelo that is simple to maintain and set up ? Love your channel the info was most helpful

    Does all of this work if you have your transtrem tuned to Eb (1/2 step down)?

    Are TransTrem for 24 and 22 fret guitars?- is the seating patterns for the ball ends different? Are the strings calibrated to the scale length? But I guess they don’t need different calibration for 24 frets.

    Please, do you know in case I decide to replace the bridge pickup, does it need to be an F spaced pickup ?

    Who makes the calibrated double ball strings for Trans Term?

    The proper way to set up your TransTrem is easily found on the web. Steinberger World is one place. This guy has no idea what he is doing. He didn't even attempt to adjust the master tension spring.

    Can I set transtrem that it bands the string the same "bad" way as floydrose? Becouse I like that the string are dissonant when I diving. I would buy transtrem just becouse of the arm locking sytem.So? Thanks. :)

      If I understand the transtrem correctly, when you dive bomb all the strings are loose with the same exact proportions, it was designed with being able to bend whole chords

    Please help do all steinberger guitars have that. Specific the spirit gt pro

    • @Maciekovic
      @Maciekovic 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      no, the Spirit GT guitars don't have the transtrem. They have a simplified version of it, without the whole tuning change part (so just a very stable tremolo). Bu that tremolo still has a lever on the back that can fix your bridge, which is really useful. For the Spirit GT guitars, just tune it like any other guitar with a tremolo

      I had a spirit and sold it as soon as I found out it HAS NOTHING to do with the Steinberger you have in your mind except the shape! You need to play a Steinberger. It's some where between $1500-3000+ now a days and it's worth every penny!

      @@pbg9208 I have 3 and you're right! Worth every penny. My most recent has the OG TT unit, and I paid $4K usd. I have a ZT3 since 2010 or so, and it's a great guitar, but nothing close to the originals. The ZT3 sold for $1200 in 2010 new. In 1989 or so, a new Steinberger was almost $2500! Great instruments. The graphite neck, etc.

      @@pbg9208 I also have three Steinbergers with TransTrems. The thought of owning a Spirit model would be an insult to the whole concept. You buy cheap, you get cheap.

    Why does the steinberger website totally suck so bad???? It shows they only sell 2 (yes, two!!!!!!!) right-handed guitars, neither of which is customizable, such as with EMG pickups, etc. Just two models and that's it now?
    What happened to all the different models?!? Are they going out of business and that's why their website hasn't been updated in 20 years? How hard it to cover up the entirely-too-large advertisement painted on the guitar that says "Steinberger" ?

      Gibson butchered Steinberger. The new Steinbergers made by Gibson suck like all newer Gibsons suck.
