I’m surprised this one has a blanket heater in it. I remember vaguely that when these were introduced on their website back in the 90’s they had already been selling the standard 20,55, and their G counterparts with the immersion rod heaters in them. Always thought this was a cool layout though
Yep. I was surprised, too. Evidently John Foskett produced some of these Deluxe specials with earlier used parts. The prototypes for the Deluxe 20G and 55G both had immersion heaters and were built by John Loughner and run great. This piece is not quite ready for prime time, outweighed only by the fact it is the only one.
