Great resource. How does the wingman managed to going cold and manage to hit while shooting in stt? Making Phoenix's active from the beginning? Thank you very much.
I've been looking for the diagram you use for the timeline, I was reading up on it but I have forgotten where it was and now can't find it again. Can you tell us where these came from please. Good video much appreciated. ( OK I found it, thanks again)
20NM is when the flight lead should be calling "skate" initiating the turn. The phoenix should have gone active by this point assuming the flight isn't doing something ridiculous like traveling at insane speeds towards the enemy. The entire point of this is we don't want to enter a merge with heavy AIM-54's on our bellies, and we don't want to drop them. I find that making sure the flight is at or around 300 knots for the approach and then mil/gate for the skate works quite well.
The ranges currently are baked in for a high PK (probability of kill) yes. Those will very likely be extended out a bit once we do get the upgraded AIM-54.
An excellent choice of music. Pretty sure I heard Space Lion and Goodnight, Julia in there too.
Absolutely brilliant and P-825 is a revelation.
Really excellent content and this will help me a lot when I'm learning the F14B
Great video guys! Keep making these!
See You Space Cowboy...
i nearly shot my load when i saw the tomcat 21 at the start! oh how i wish that got made!

Nice one!
great video! thanks!
This is gold!
Excellent vid. Which 54s are you using for this timeline?
Outstanding thank you 🖖
very nice background music ;)
If I play with jester in the back seat, does he automaticaly tell the phoenix to go active? Because If not and I skate, wont that trash the Phoenix?
What does "sanitize" mean? I take it "sorting" is picking out a target to shoot (and not double targeting).

@@carrierairwingeleven1747 so you fire at 300 knots and run away bravely at 20nm? will that change when we get the proper missile api?
