It’s a real pain when a tapped hole turns out skewed, and anything you do to make sure it’s properly vertical is time well spent. - it shows you care and it shows you want the job done right. Perfect reaction 😂😂

With over 40 years experience in the building and construction industry I'm constantly amazed how many people tell me they can do the job faster, better and cheaper than me, that is until they actually have to do the work. It's the little details that get you. Hope you feel better soon.

Hey Olly.... When you are struggling with a facing/boring head to get into a shoulder (or towards the centre) , you use a left handed boring bar in the other side of the head and cut inwards :-) (like this about 45 mins in) They use the same inserts. Love watching you work stuff out and also love the results!

Hi Oliver, greetings from North Carolina, USA. I really enjoy your channel. I wanted to offer a suggestion when using your plasma cutter. I use a bit of 90-degree steel angle as a straight edge. The upright leg of the angle provides even more stability as you draw the torch along to make the cut. Works for me. All the best to you.

Great vid showing your innovative mind and skillsets.
As a young apprentice a comment made to me by a competitor really dented my confidence and was designed to trash my work reputation within the community.
My then Yorkshire born boss said to me. "Eh lad take no heed, everyone has an opinion but it doesn't make it right". "He's an armchair expert, seen it on TV once so called expert and you know what expert translates to"? "An, "Ex", means someone who used to do something and a, "Spert" is a drip".
With this I Burst into uncontrolled laughter.
It later turned out that that the competitor was going bust because of their poor workmanship, he was hoping that he would get me sacked so that he could offer me a job and get my labour on the cheap.
I always reflect on the cmment made by my boss who also said "listen to positive criticism to improve your business processes and give credit where credit is due as there is normally someone who is better than you (humility), ignore destructive criticism, don't even bother to reply its not worth your time, but always remember the final decision is yours, but you mostly reep what you sow".

Oliver, regarding your pursuit of more power in your tractor.
I gave an old Isuzi station wagon, about 3000 lbs, with a 2500cc TFR engine, factory stock no turbo. It ran well, with as expected performance. You know, a lead sled. A pro went digging into the fuel pump and tweaked things several times. He found a sweet spot. Now the car runs like a sports car. Unreal, unbelievable amount of more power. All it took was some precision with tiny little adjustments.

Nice job mate. The bucket repair although we have seen you do them before, everyone is slightly different so it is worth watching. The fly wheel is designed well with the sheer pin breaking before causing damage to the baler. On some of our industrial gearboxes we had to make them the weak link, so not to cause damage to a multi-million pound installation. It was 99% of the time me that had to go and fix them, even on Christmas eve. Still that's life. Good post, thank you 👍

Well done on 50,000 subscriptions, in about a year is impressive.
I have a couple of the same ratchet blocks as the one you used. I got them from work about 30 years ago, when the lifting equipment insurance inspector condemned them to the scrap skip, due to twisted chains and missing throat latches. They have been very useful over the years, although with my advancing years, they are getting a bit numb and heavy to use.
