- FG Sportsline 4WD 530 Electric using castle xlx2 and 2028 1100kv motor.
A few runs around a car park…
The FG sportsline models are built on a 4mm aluminium chassis with double wishbones front and rear, with all chassis borings countersunk. Fully adjustable front and rear double wishbone suspension with oil-pressure shock absorbers with volume control and external adjusting ring for the initial tension of the spring. Comes with 20T motor metal gear and 44T plastic layshaft gear.
Other features include differential gear, all rotating parts are on ball bearings. The bodyshells are made of clear polycarbonate. Tyres are pre glued on the rims.

This of the best handling awd car out of all the 1/8,7,5 scale I seen. All the videos I seen of this FG handles sooooo damn well. The perfect drift. The perfect threshold of grip/drift and gaining traction again. But…. It sounds like your NOT at 100% power potential from the esc, are you holding back power? Do you have a soft slope on throttle curve? Or adjusted auto acceleration speed or something… I know Raz’s FG build went up in FLAMES and came down to 80% power on the replacement esc lol… that’s still didn’t justify if it was one of the faulty esc’s or if his settings were “too demanding” bcs those tires were SMOKING left & right. I see 99% of FG owners using the castle Phoenix 12S esc and it runs good and hard with no issues on 4s 6s 8s.. they don’t even try 10 or 12s bcs 6s is fast enough let alone 8s which hits 90+ speed runs. I can’t remember the Chanel but dude runs a
RED PORSCHE body on his FG and he’s done some serious testing on it with MGM esc..
Esc settings are grand, power set to 100% but I’ve set punch to 0, I’m also running my big panther batteries which I use in my speedrun car.
When I was doing the passes from the bottom of the carpark I was bringing throttle in slow, the only time I hit throttle full from a standing start was on the drag hit..
I’m running standard gearing which should only yeld around 55 to 60 on this setup, if I heated batteries I’d see 61 - 63mph.
That was only the second time I had cat out so I’m still going easy on it.

That's a stunning car, on a dry day I can imagine it would take corners like no bodies business. Temps cut off at 200° crazy! Hobbywing shut off at 125° and boy do they need fans. What about gearing over fans? Or both lol

@@GregSupe ….. brushless allllllllllll the way.. gas/nitro don’t even skim the surface and is so impractical compared to electric which is plug n play and has TONS of upgrade and mod options bcs everything is so compatible.. gas, your STUCK with how it is.

Looking to get one…people are telling me to go with the max4 over the xlx2. What’s ya opinion?
Possible the max 4 is better option, I ran my xlx2 in it for a year then out of the blue it when up in smoke
