Clone Commandos or ARC Troopers? 🤔
AM excited to see more clone commandos bad batch season 2
Arc troopers if we’re talking about bull class. If not, definitely clone commandos
If Clone Commandos are Seals then ARC Troopers are Rangers so I'll take ARC Troopers. Suitable for open conflicts and large-scale battlefields as well as covert ops. Perfect for the clone wars.

I kind of think arc troopers because if some of the squad gets taken down some of them, can solo the battle
I love clone commandos one of my favorite clone trooper variants we definitely need a new updated version of Republic commandos
seeing commandos used so much in bad batch has probably been refreshing.
At first the jedis didnt really understand how to effectively use commandos. So they pretty much used a good majority of them to participate in the frontal assault on geonosis. If i remember correctly five thousand of them died because of this.
They didnt understand jack. Worst generals ever 😅
Yep, imagine sending Shaolin monks to lead navy seals in combat. No wonder why several commandos dispised the Jedi.
Just to clarify some of this. There were like 10,000 Commandos strong before the Battle of Geonosis. As you said the Jedi were idiots about military tactics on day one. So on the first day of the war they lost half of them and it was 5,000. This also created a bit of resentment from Clones to Jedi, in some legends and canon material.
When i first played Republic Commando when i was a kid i was blown away ever since then it has been my No.1 Star Wars Game

I like how the DC-17M has a built-in suppressors but there still fairly loud when you fire the weapon
I rank Clone Commandos above ARC troopers because commandos also go through live fire training where many commandos died in training.

Currently reading the clone commando books by Karen Travis. I know they’re not canon but thank god because their feats in these books are INSANE especially their armor. It’s honestly on par with pure Beskar given how well their armor works against blaster bolts.
I'm grateful 🙏 they were not added to canon. disney would've butchered them

The commandos that were trained by Mandos had a higher chance of surviving The Battle of Geonosis than the ones that were trained by non Mando sergeants

I think that clone commandos can be just as good as ARC troopers if not better if maybe trained properly or given a chance to fight i situations that the ARC troupers fight in.
They’re more then trained properly and the novels even say so, not to mention they get the better weapons and armor, so makes no sense that the ARCs are somehow better lol besides their name insinuates that they are to be used as a recon force primarily

Unpopular opinion, but Bad Batch 99 was a big mistake. I would so much have preferred to see the original Alpha class ARC or real commandos.

Clone Commandos > ARC Troopers. I basically think of Clone Commandos as a SWAT Team rather than Seal Team. Also the Commandos seem more laid back less full of themselves than the ARCs who were very competitive.
This ain’t the r case at all, the commandos are literally the SEALS/SAS of Star Wars, they even get the better armor gear and weapons and training, ARCs are essentially the equivalent of ranger teams or marine force recon, where as commandos are like Delta Force/green berets/Marine Raiders/SEALS etc
